Sebastian had been drinking steadily since he arrived at the party, he wouldn't say he was drunk. But he also wouldn't say he was sober either. He found himself in that middle ground of being pleasantly buzzed and toeing the line of making decisions he would probably come to regret. Such as staring at a blue eyed male whenever he caught sight of him in the crowds, maybe it was the vodka fuelled poor impulses that now had him standing by said male when he had vowed to himself that he'd stay away. "I can't tell if you've scared people away or drawn them in with your costume tonight." Sebastian commented. "Clowns aren't exactly people's favourite thing to look at, but the make up you've got on really compliments your eyes and I can see people getting lost in them pretty easily."

Finn couldn't stop the curse that left his mouth upon reading the note, he would love to say he was one of those people who could brush it off. Say they didn't care. And even taunt the witches into doing their worst. But the difference was that he did care and this wasn't exactly a small secret and it didn't just stop with him. If people found out then it wouldn't be his own career and credibility that would go to shit, it could also be that of his dad and even Alison. He knew a lot of questions would crop up when it came to medical notes and then speculation on just who it was that he paid to injure him.
It was a messy web of his own lies and he would quite like to keep it just that, his own. Scrunching up the note and shoving it deep into his pocket he sighed, scanning around the party for someone who he could sweet talk into swapping costumes with him.

Jude was pretty sure he had spent the majority of the time spent at the party out of the party space, it was the first time he was seeing Hogwarts, or the first time he believed he was seeing the school and he wanted to take it all in. He had been standing in one of the hallways, glancing up at one of the many portraits when he sensed someone come up behind him causing him to jump. "Merlin, you need to stop creeping up on me, it's going to start taking years off my life and I feel like I've already had too many taken off." He spoke, realising that only he would have been clued in to that piece of information. Unless the other claimed to know more then she admitted.

UPIS 7-12 holds Miting De Avance

Students and candidates for the 2023 Elections from the University of the Philippines Integrated School attended the Miting De Avance last Tuesday, May 23 at the UPIS Gym.
The University of the Philippines Integrated School (UPIS) has begun a new season of selecting student leaders to head the Pamunuan ng Kamag-Aral (PKA) and Year-Level Organizations (YLOs) for the upcoming academic year of 2023-2024.
Parties “BUKAS ALPAS!,” “cheriSCh,” and “Hayo!” were able to campaign after the face-to-face classes.
Online Miting De Avance: Freshman Association and Sophomore Association
On the other hand, the KALASAG party and Kalinaw party, running for seats on the Freshman Association (FA) and Sophomore Association (SoA) respectively, held their Miting De Avance online since students were not required to attend school as they had remote classes that day.
Below are lists of candidates for FA and SoA:
For the in-person meeting de avance, the three parties present were those running for Batch 2027's Junior Association, Batch 2026's Senior Council, and grades 7-12's Pamunuan ng Kamag-Aral. The opening remarks were given by grade 10 COMELEC student officer Rachelle Marie Bueno.

“BUKAS ALPAS!”, the running leaderboard of incoming grade 9 students, indicated their party's main projects--the Junior-Senior Promenade, a Halloween party, and a batch picnic. Several other projects were also mentioned such as mandating “Let’s Go Linis”, which is a cleaning initiative, and putting up an honesty store.

Candidates running for seats on the Senior Council, under the party “cheriSCh” shared the projects they envision such as “Tara Aral” — an in-person group study session. Presenting themselves as outgoing and committed, other initiatives were also mentioned including building a “memory wall” and a “drop box.”

Lastly, this year’s PKA aspirants named “Hayo!” presented their objectives of continuity, innovation, welfare, and involvement. The main project they intend to focus on is the annual “UPIS Days” with its sports festival, school carnival, and merchandise fair. In addition, an honesty store was proposed, as well as the leadership camp, which aims to promote cohesiveness in the school through a discussion of student leaders across grade levels.
The parties had an opportunity to introduce their running parties, present their future visions, and propose plans to enhance the school’s environment through a video presentation.
Each campaign video was then followed by an open forum wherein the candidates were asked to answer some questions from the audience. Before the event ended, Mr. Mark Joseph Euste, head of the UPIS COMELEC, gave guidelines come election day.
Elections were conducted on May 24, whereas, the official results were posted on May 29 on the UPIS PKA Facebook Page.

Plot Drop 02: Crossed Wires
October 31, 2027
The anniversary of the First War’s end may not be as celebrated as it once was, but there are plenty who hold it as sacred as May 2. Others at the Ministry and in creature defense programs use the energy of the day--those feelings of hope and happy remembrance of the war ending, as well as the general excitement from kids about Halloween--as a boost to help get the dementors back under control.
Normally things go off without a hitch. Normally the wix involved are able to corner individual dementors and slowly round them up for a return to their guarded areas. This year did not prove to be the case.
Too many years of the same routine had put the dementors on high alert, and as qualified wix appeared in Magical London, the dementors started swarming. Alerts were put out in Diagon and Knockturn Alleys to stay indoors as the dementors worked themselves into a frenzy. The high energy swam ended up outside the Cellular Sorcery building, the largest magical cellular service provider and a company who used a hybrid of magic and existing muggle towers to provide coverage. The dementors were too much. Their dark magic overloaded Cellular Sorcery’s transmitters. All of Magical England and much of the Muggle London area were plunged into a service blackout.
Cell coverage was restored by the early morning hours of November 1st, but in the aftermath, everyone has been quick to use it as proof of their cause.
Creature Quarterly used it to claim this was proof dementors only reacted strongly when caged. The Wix Watcher began a campaign toward the euthanizing of Dementors.
Witch Weekly advocated for a completely separate magical phone system to avoid relying on a muggle system that isn’t designed to handle magical energy. The Quibbler called for the opposite with complete system integration and wix able to work directly with muggles to strengthen coverage meant for both. The Daily Prophet declared it proof that muggle technology can’t handle magical elements and should therefore be seen as a passing fad.
No one can agree on a solution, but all seem to agree there is a problem.
Recommended Action:
Using dates for the month of November, you are able to have your character react in any way needed to these events. Did the service outage interrupt a tense and important conversation? Were they in Diagon Alley watching the dementor swarm in motion? Have they changed their opinions on muggle technology at all because of this outage? Will your character be outspoken about their ideas on moving forward?
This month can be used for any personal character development, as well as responses to this plot drop. Have fun!

He asked the other, waving the prop axe that he had been carrying around with him all night around a bit. "Like normally people would freak out if they saw someone walking around the streets, or through a school with a weapon. But when it's Halloween it's just accepted. Like what if this was real? What if I had nefarious intent? They just let me waltz right in." He continued. "Halloween is fucking weird."
