I don’t think I’ve made an official announcement yet so I’m happy to say my next graphic novel will be released June 18th, of this year and it’s A Pillbug Story!! Millie the pillbug is finally in book form thanks to Andrew and Black Panel Press💜. A Pillbug Story is available for preorder right above. Millie maaay even debut at TCAF 🤞🏻. 9. What is their relationship with their mother like?

Riley and Rebecca have a pretty good relationship. Riley always tries to give others the benefit of the doubt and that grace extends to her mother. There was a little tension after the supernatural reveal, but now they are working towards being closer than ever which makes Riley very happy.

Jessie is pretty neutral about Rebecca. Views her mostly as a coworker at this point. She doesn't care about trying to get closer, and is generally fine with things just staying how they are.

10. What about their hobbies?

Riley plays the violin!

Jessie is a bit of an amateur naturalist. They are particularly interested in entomolgy and can often be found hiking in the woods around Wayhaven (they are a park ranger rather than a detective in my headcanon)

21. What does their apartment look like?

Riley has a more antique style. She loves looking for unique pieces that feel like they have a history, have more personality. Lots of missed matched pieces which somehow work really well together.

Jessie's apartment is not decorated at all. Bare walls and she still uses the hand-me down furniture from their college days.

25. How do they handle the reveal of the Supernatural?

Riley was confused and disbelieving at first. It just felt so out there, but she adapted quickly.

Jessie thought it made sense. It fit all the strange evidence that they had been gathering.

Final Boy “Barney” Oc to go with a friend’s slasher oc :}

In high school Barney was known as a star football player and his parents had high hopes for him.

Thing is Barney wasn’t that interested in continuing to play football and when he picked entomolgy to study in college it was safe to say his folks weren’t happy with him and then the cherry on the cake was coming out as gay, poor guy was kicked out and shunned by his parents, the only person who cared for him was his uncle who was just as quirky as him.

He taught Barney how to fish and cook of the land and everything else Barney needed to learn to survive the outdoors.

When Barney was an adult his uncle passed away and left him his cabin next to the lake out in the woods, Barney set to back into the only home he knew was suddenly contacted by “old friends” who wanted to reconnect.

Excited by this and maybe showing his old friends a spectacular event of a firefly migration was happy to invite them all as he prepared to move into the cabin.

Except on arrival it seems his friends very much did not care for what Barney wanted to do and just wanted to use it as an excuse to party and cause a mess for Barney.

Barney wasn’t going to let it get him down though and was determined to show his friends the event he was looking forward to and if after that they still didn’t appreciate it well he’d have to put his foot down!

Allowing his “friends” to be pains in the neck he went to sleep early, tomorrow was a busy day of preparation but his friends didn’t care for that.

Barney warned them not to leave the cabin after night, his uncle used to tell him it was dangerous and Barney had built up a habit of not staying out as it got dark but his friends snuck off anyway.

Through the night they were picked off one by one by a strange entity that was silent in it’s movements.

The next morning Barney noticed the air was let out of his truck and his friends were nowhere to be found.

He was annoyed, thinking his friends let the air out of his tyres and then hitched a ride out of there, leaving him alone.

He had supplies left in his uncle’s shed that he was able to fix the tyres but he decided to leave it for the next day, fine his friends can go and leave, he was not going to let it ruin his night!

Unknown to him that he was being watched by something else in the treeline...
