30 Days of Witchversary- Day 4

Favorite Pairing/ship

And once again wow making decisions is hard... So let’s try make this list short

Will / Matt

Okay, so these two....they’re so damn adorable together. The beginning of their relationship was kinda rushed in the cartoon but that’s forgivable due to how great their relationship, from that point on, is developed. You can really tell how much these two care for each other, in the beginning of their relationship they only had a crush for each other but after going through so damn much and being honest you can tell that their bond really became strong. And not to sound emo or whatever but the drama -massive spoilers for season 2- of Matt literally being possessed by a evil demon that gets stronger by the hate that Will feels for him is just sooo interesting and I can’t help but root for them all the time. I’ve already kinda tackled another reason for shipping them yesterday: Matt is very different from the typical love interest romanticized at the time the cartoon was airing, he isn’t too possessive over Will and really trusts her and her strenght to defeat evil but also is always there to help her out.

I also like them in the comics but not as much because they don’t seem as honest with one another and, in my opinion, don’t share as many meaningful moments. However their interations are adorable and I actually wish some of them would be in the cartoon.

Hay lin / Eric

I could not talk about W.I.T.C.H’s ships without talking about these two. They are so wholesome and heartwarming, for example their first kiss (in the cheek)!! I love how much they have in common in terms of interests (no, opposites don’t always attract). And yeah I don’t have much more to say about them because being as adorable as they are is enough reason to love them.

Others

W.I.T.C.H was made at a time when LGBTQ+ wasn’t accepted as it is right now, however I can’t help but wish that it had some explicit representation. However that doesn’t stop us fans having our headcanons so I’d like to share my love for Halinor and Kadma. I mean, they left Kandrakar together and spent the rest of her lives living together looking after kids...? That’s beautiful and romantic af. Even not having a confirmation of their relationship we can still dream, am I right?

I also like the idea of Cassidy and Nerissa being girlfriends but because that relationship would be very one-sided and toxic I don’t mind that it wasn’t staded in the comics nor the cartoon that they were romanticly envolved (however Greg Weisman did confirmed that they were bi and dating in the cartoon).

(Also love Peter and Cornelia... I have too many ships)
