COMMENTING! I am so bad about commenting on stories, especially when I find myself on a binge. I am making a more conscious effort to comment, especially since it is not fair to the author who has poured their soul and effort into creating written art. I thrive on comments on my works and it is only fair for me to pay it forward as well

Reading WIPs, especially newer WIPs that are only 1-2 chapters deep. Sometimes I really want to devour a complete 100k+ fic but I saw a tiktok a few weeks ago that said that supporting stories in the beginning helps make the fanfiction ecosystem thrive. Every story begins at chapter one and sometimes all it takes is the knowledge that someone gave your story a chance

Why do people feel the need to dig up posts over a year old about how a book wasn’t terrible just to drop into the comments and say “actually it sucked but I guess it’s fine if you liked it 🙄”
