You know thinking about it has Ashiok ever done anything wrong to Elspeth? Like the nightmares they gave to Elspeth on Theros IIRC were what woke Elspeth enough for her to claw her way out of the underworld. Orpheus and Eurydice level romance. Also they were responsible for her getting shadowspear which was what she beat Heliod with. Ashiok has done nothing but be helpful to Elspeth #ElshiokSweep

I hope we get to see more of Ashiok being gay for Elspeth and not knowing how to do anything about that.

“How to let someone know you like them?”

“Write them a love letter, confessing your feelings.”

*proceeds to write a letter detailing all of her worst failings and self-doubts in order to help alleviate her guilt and empower her*

I would love to see more of that kind of thing, something that is so intense but also well intentioned. Give me more Ashiok giving Elspeth presents that are so deeply personal they could only have come from her deepest thoughts.

You know with Elshiok it'd be really funny if in Thunder Junction we got like Ashiok in a full villain role or whatnot and Elspeth is just there with them too. Got the heroes like "wait I thought you helped save the multiverse?" "Yeah but I gotta support Ashiok's interests too, they supported mine. It's what healthy couples do"

Since a lot of people seem to be getting into my Elshiok posts I need to post to specify: I am not shipping them as a crack ship I fully believe in this with all of my heart. I fully believe Ashiok loves Elspeth and just has an odd way of expressing it because they are a nightmare being who is also unbelievably hot. And if you all join me we can make this reality

1. What made you ship it?

A mix of one really good piece of artwork I saw of both of them nude that looked. So beautiful. And the letter Ashiok sends Elspeth in Brothers War (PEAK gay)

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

There's something to me about the idea that Ashiok is this nightmare but is also a loving caring and affectionate partner, and how like. Ashiok is evil but has never done anything wrong to Elspeth, and Elspeth never fought them.

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I literally formed the mainstream opinions for this ship I think based off what I've seen on tumblr by definition I don't think any of mine are unpopular

the key about elshiok is like. the charm isn't the idea of enemies to lovers or like. Scary Nightmare x Normal Woman. the charm is that the nightmare is treating this crush like a schoolyard crush with little letters like i imagine ashiok in bed drawing hearts to dot the i's one of those old construction paper valentines.
