I know that past was focused on something else in general but it honestly makes me laugh and cringe when i hear bylers say that mike was overly concerned for will in s2 and... yeah he was concerned, and then el came back and his entire focus shifted to her. I thinl many bylers dont want to admit it. And while him helping will at the shed alongside joyce, jon and hopper was great, he was disconnected from helping will when el arrived. He went back to help her instead meanhile will was being exorcised by jon joyce and nancy by his side. And then we get nothing byler after that. It is basically mlvn romance and the snowball dance. Where is the grande byler in those episodes?
Honestly this whole byler discourse made me go back and watch the show and it made me realize more that even tho mike helps will 1- it is never permanent, 2- he quickly shifts his focus toward el. Whenever will is actually saved it is separated from mike see s1; it was joyce and hopper who went to th UD to save will, mike was with the party and el. The focus was on el from mike during that littl battle. So where is that fanon mike who is so quick to apologize to Will and notices everything abt him... inside just byler echochamber, ig?

deadwood has y fari lwyd as a tradition, and if he ever explained the concept to the others i think dakota specifically would go CRAZY. he would think it sounded soooo fun and the next christmas, the boys would make one and go door to door for shits and giggles (people would have to specifically give them pizza if the boys won the pwnco and were allowed inside) (except no one in their area would have ANY idea what they were on about so they would just be on peoples doorsteps dressed as a horse, singing, and begging for pizza)
