Hemen yakınımda deniz,dağ ve orman olmayınca rahatsız olurum. İnsan dediğin,elbette bir ölçüde doğduğu yerin ürünü oluyor. Düşünce tarzı,duyguları,yaşama şekli, sanırım coğrafi şekillerle, iklimle,rüzgarın yönüyle bağlantılı oluyor.

Postdoc: AMNH_NewYork.MicrobialEukaryotes
Postdoctoral Research Scientist in Phylogenomics and Comparative Genomics of Microbial Eukaryotes, American Museum of Natural History The Kim Lab at American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) in New York City is seeking a postdoctoral research scientist for a comparative evolutionary genomics project, with emphasis on the analyses of microbial eukaryote genomes newly sequenced in the laboratory. The successful candidate is expected to assemble and annotate eukaryotic genomes; develop phylogenomics matrices for inferring the tree of eukaryotes; and characterize genome-wide patterns associated with specific cellular processes. This position requires both independent and collaborative work on the project, thus a candidate with strong interpersonal skills will be preferred. The Kim Lab studies evolution, diversity, and interactions of microbial eukaryotes using a combination of cell culturing, light and electron microscopy, and molecular sequencing tools. Some of our recent study topics include green algal phagocytosis, algal endosymbiosis, and novel diversity of marine microbial eukaryotes. We are part of the museum's Sackler Institute for Comparative Biology and of the Division of Invertebrate Zoology. A candidate is required to have a Ph.D. in biology or a related field. Experience in phylogenetic analyses (e.g., RAxML) and pipelining tools (e.g., Perl or Python) is required. Preference will be given to an applicant with knowledge of the diversity and evolution of microbial eukaryotes. The position is initially for one year with the possibility to be extended for one additional year. To apply, submit a PDF copy of cover letter, CV, and contact information for three references to Eunsoo Kim ([email protected]). The American Museum of Natural History is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. The Museum does not discriminate with respect to employment, or admission or access to Museum facilities, programs or activities on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, age, disability, marital status, partnership status, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, pregnancy, alienage or citizenship status, current or former participation in the uniformed services, status as a veteran, or national or ethnic origin, or on account of any other basis prohibited by applicable City, State, or Federal law. Additional protections are afforded in employment based on arrest or conviction record, status as a victim of domestic violence, stalking and sex offenses, unemployment status, and credit history, in each case to the extent provided by law. best, Eunsoo Eunsoo Kim Assistant Curator and Assistant Professor Department of Invertebrate Zoology American Museum of Natural History Central Park West at 79th Street New York, NY 10024 Phone: 1 (212) 769-5510 Email: [email protected] In one drop of water are found all the secrets of all the oceans. -Gibran Eunsoo Kim via Gmail

dedem’e..
