So Close - S.S. XXI
Summary: The universe has a funny way of putting the things you want right in front of you, but just out of reach. Stiles and Y/N have been best friends ever since Scott brought him home, but when Stiles realizes that he might want to be something other than best friends, she leaves to go to some fancy private school up North. Now that she’s back though … maybe he’s got a shot? A Teen Wolf AU in which the reader has always been so close to Stiles and yet so far.

You weren’t sure how long you’d been driving around Beacon Hills and drinking far too much coffee while you did, but when the empty fuel tank warning lit up you had a feeling you had to stop sometime soon. Luckily, you were close enough to the Hales to make a U-turn and stop at the loft. You dashed up the stairs and started banging on the door, waiting for someone to answer.
When they did, they had to dodge your closed fist. “Woah, Jesus. That was really close to my face,” Isaac complained. He looked tired and confused but that melted away when he saw the tears streaked down your face. “Hey, what’s wrong? You alright?”
You stepped past him and into the loft, taking deep breaths as you ran shaky hands through your hair. You were pacing while you tried to calm down. “Stiles slept with Malia,” you said after a minute. No reason to sugarcoat it.
“I’ll kill him.” Isaac’s steely resolve as he spoke made you laugh, which only served to make him more concerned as you walked over and pulled him into a hug. “No, Y/N, I’m not joking. He’s a dead man. Seriously. Say the word and I’ll-”
You didn’t see Cora come in, but you heard her grumpy voice as she asked, “What the hell are you two doing?”
When you looked up, you found her in the pajamas that you’d loaned her when she first came to stay with you. The longer you were here, the more the Hales chipped away at your anger. “I-”
“Stiles cheated on her,” Isaac interrupted, still clearly annoyed.
Cora didn’t look tired anymore; in that instant, she looked furious. “I’ll kill him. Isaac, come on, I-”
“No, okay?” you interrupted. “I love you guys but, seriously, what is with you and killing Stiles?”
Isaac started sputtering an explanation about how he was just looking out for you and Cora rolled her eyes and mumbled something to the effect of’ if he wasn’t such a dumbass then she wouldn’t have to threaten him so much’ when you heard Derek. It made you cut your laugh short.
“Why is it that every time I wake up in the middle of the night, the three of you are always involved?” Derek asked, walking slowly into the living room.
“Because Y/N is having a personal crisis,” Isaac explained, looking tired again.
Derek raised an eyebrow and you held out a hand to placate him. “It’s not a personal crisis,” you said. “It’s just-”
“I’m gonna kill Stilinski,” he mumbled, rubbing his temples.
“No!” you whined. You heard laughter behind you and turned to find Isaac and Cora hiding behind their hands. Derek was smiling when you faced him again. It made you laugh and hold your head in your hands.
“So are you going to tell us what happened or should I just make up a bed?” Cora asked after a few moments.
“Uh, honestly, I don’t know what happened. It happened when they were at Eichen House,” you started. “He wouldn't have told me if she didn’t literally try to sleep with me while-”
“Wait, what?” Isaac asked.
“This is a little out of my league,” Derek said before you could explain. “I’ll get started on that bed while you guys ... sort this out.”
You squeezed his shoulder on his way out before settling down on the couch with Isaac and Cora. You told them about everything, pouring your heart out about every Stiles Stilinski interaction you’d had since you met.
--
Despite spending all your time at the loft over the past week or so and helping them pack, you still didn’t think they’d go through with their plan to take time off in South America. Even as you stood at the back of the group as everyone said their goodbyes and Derek loaded up the car, you hoped they’d change their minds.
Scott had already said his goodbyes and promised them their spots in the pack when they came back. Lydia was surprisingly upset as she said goodbye, you guessed all that time spent tutoring Cora amounted to a pretty strong friendship. Stiles hugged both of them goodbye. And then it was your turn, and there was no getting out of it.
“So you guys are really going?” you asked. You could hear the tears in your voice and you knew they could too.
Cora nodded, still uncomfortable about talking about her feelings. “Peter said I can’t talk to Malia and I can’t do that if I stay here. She’s my family. So I need to take some time until she’s ready to be mine.”
You nodded. “Yeah, that, uh- that makes sense. And Isaac’s always wanted to travel so …” you gave him a small smile before turning back to Cora. “You’ll take care of him for me, okay?”
Cora looked like she was about to say something but decided against it. Instead, she pulled you into an unexpectedly tight hug. “Thank you. For helping me and making me feel … normal again.”
You were about to tell her that you should be thanking her when a pair of long, lanky arms wrapped around the two of you. “Isaac, what are you doing?” you laughed.
“It’s a group hug,” he said. “And you better enjoy it because it’s the only one you’re getting.”
“Yeah, yeah, I’m enjoying it! Shut up,” you teased. Before you knew it, the three of you were pulling away, but you held onto their hands as you exchanged some heavy looks. “I love you guys. Be safe, okay?”
Isaac smiled and squeezed your hand. “We love you, too.”
You gave them one last smile before turning and taking a deep breath. Your eyes fell on a very sad looking Derek Hale. You nudged his arm as you made your way over. “You’re looking more mopey than usual,” you said with a small smile. “Does that mean you’re going to miss me?”
He laughed and shook his head. “As hard as it may be to believe … yeah. I am.”
“Wait, seriously?” you asked. You weren’t surprised that he’d miss you, but you were surprised he admitted it. “Derek, that’s so sweet.”
“Yeah, well it’s not going to be so sweet if you throw another party in my loft,” he said, voice getting a little tenser.
“Come on, that wasn’t even my party!” You shoved him in the arm. “You can’t still be mad about that.”
“Do you have any idea how badly body paint stains flooring?” he asked, ignoring your shove. “Besides, you were there and that’s enough to-”
“So were about a hundred other kids. Including these dummies and Cora and Isaac, in case you forgot.” You pointed a finger at the group and Derek laughed again. It made you ease up. You bumped his arm lightly with your elbow.  “I’m gonna miss you, too, by the way. You’re like the big brother I never had.”
“Hey!” you heard Scott whine and waved him off.
“Thanks,” he smiled. “It means a lot.”
Despite your better judgment telling you not to, you pulled him into a hug. When you made it clear that you weren’t letting go until he hugged you back, he put an unsure arm around your shoulders.
“There,” you said as you pulled away. “I don’t know why it’s so hard for you Hales to admit you like being hugged.”
“Did you ever think maybe it’s because we don’t like being hugged?” he asked.
“No, that’s not it,” you said very seriously. You broke into a smile. “Now get out of here before I do something stupid like go with you.”
---
Christmas was one of your favorite holidays, but it was hard to get into the celebrating mood when two of your best friends were in another country, one of them was dead, and another was dating the girl that he’d sworn he didn’t have feelings for. And to make you even more annoyed, Scott and Kira were being adorable and awkward.
When she bumped into him under the mistletoe and blushed before a quick peck on the lips, you rolled your eyes and downed whatever was left of your drink. They were so sweet together, but they didn’t know how to admit their feelings and it was driving you insane.
“Woah, easy there, sweetheart,” Lydia teased next to you. “People might think you’re not enjoying the holiday festivities.”
You pulled a face at her and she laughed before pulling you into a hug. The new angle gave you a clear view of Malia trying to figure out where she wanted to hang one of the decorations you’d made as a kid. You knew your anger towards her was unfair - and you did, grudgingly, like her - but it added to the list of reasons why you didn’t want to be here.
“I’m going to get something to drink,” you said and untangled yourself from Lydia so you could get to your feet. You turned around to ask her something as you walked, but the words fell short when you bumped into someone. “I’m so sorry, I-”
Stiles smiled down at you, seeming a little embarrassed. “Yeah, no worries. I wasn’t looking where I was going so …”
This was the closest you’d been to each other since that night. Was he blushing? Were you?
“Right. Well, anyway,” you said slowly as you started moving around him. You stopped when you heard Malia start talking.
“Well, aren’t you guys gonna kiss?” she asked. She must have picked up on your shock and horror because she pointed to the ceiling above you. “Mistletoe. Scott and Kira had to do it.”
“Uh, that’s different,” Stiles said awkwardly, holding out a hand to make his point.
“How?” she asked as she folded her hands over her chest.
“Because Scott isn’t dating someone,” you said. Seriously, you got that she was a coyote for like a decade, but hadn’t she seen a single Christmas movie since being human again?
“But Stiles is-” Malia started.
“Malia, just drop it, okay?” Stiles said behind you. “This doesn’t have to be a big-”
It was hard not to notice everyone staring at you. “Fine, you know what?” you sighed, cutting Stiles off. You turned to face him and placed your hands on either side of his face before reaching up and kissing him. You’d be lying if you said it didn’t make you feel anything, but it did soften your anger slightly. “There. Now I’m gonna go get something to drink.”
You pulled your hands back to your sides and rushed off to the kitchen to gather yourself. So what if you still had feelings for Stiles? He was dating Malia and he seemed genuinely happy for the first time since he was eight. There was nothing for you to do except to just get over-
“Hey.” You felt Lydia put a hand on the small of your back while you were digging in the fridge. “You wanna get out of here for a little while? We’re out of cranberries so I thought we could do a grocery run. Kira’s already in the car.”
“Yeah,” you said softly. “Yeah, that would be great.”
The two of you walked out hand in hand while you avoided eye contact and Lydia told everyone where you were going. The drive was quiet and you just focused on not being such a headcase, but it was easier once the three of you were walking around the grocery store.
“-And it’s not like I’m mad at him for being happy,” you continued, “It’s just that he didn’t tell me about her and then insisted there was nothing going on and now-”
“Is this how it felt when Allison and I talked about Scott and Jackson?” Lydia interrupted. She gave you a teasing smile when you pushed her arm.
“I mean, I get all that - I do,” Kira started. “But can’t you just talk to him about it? If it bothers you so much.”
“Okay, no. I couldn’t do that because I had literally just watched another one of my friends die. I was upset and he was still recovering from being possessed,” you said. A toddler looked at you and you smiled and turned around quickly. “I thought we were just taking a break until the time was right.”
“But isn’t there always something wrong? With the timing, I mean,” Kira asked.
“Well … yeah,” you said, crossing your arms over your chest.
“Then doesn’t that mean that you should’ve talked to him anyway?”
“Yeah, I know that now! But it doesn’t change anything.” You shook your head. “I’ve been in love with Stiles basically since I realized what love was. But we don’t talk about it. Ever. And now I can’t just upend his happiness because of how I feel. That’s not how we do things.”
“Oh, uh-” Kira looked over at Lydia and Lydia shrugged in response. “Okay.”
You sighed and grabbed another bag of chips for the movie night you guys had planned. “I’m sorry. I know I sound crazy. It’s just- Cora and Isaac are gone and they’re usually the ones that talk me through the crazy. And if they’re not around, then it’s Allison. And Allison is …” you broke off and took a breath. “Anyway, I just- I appreciate you listening to me.”
“It’s what friends are for,” Lydia said with a small smile. “Now, do you think we need more eggnog?”
“Oh, yeah. Definitely,” Kira smiled. She bumped your arm before going off to find more supplies.
Before you knew it, you were alone in the junk food aisle, staring at a pack of Reese’s cups and reaching up to where your necklace used to hang around your neck. The movement was so instinctive that you didn’t realize you were reaching for Stiles’ necklace until your hand got to where the ring should have been and found nothing but ugly Christmas sweater.

Dancing’s Not A Crime (Unless You Do It Without Me) pt. 14
Bakugou x fem!reader, Todoroki x fem!reader
You flirt and tease with a certain hotheaded classmate of yours without realizing how far it has escalated and someone gets a little jealous.
Warnings: ANGST, mentions of abuse, mentions of death, swearing, boys being jealous, uhhhh more angst
A/N: a brush of inspiration? Kinda. There won’t be more frequent updates so please don’t ask!! I am only a cherry tomatoe who has been plucked before she has ripened.
Part 13 or read from the beginning OR read a properly edited version on my AO3
“Monkey…”
You blinked and hot tears fell to your living room floor. Staring at your mother’s unmoving body, you clutched onto your stuffed dog, Speckle. A large hand touched your shoulder and you were pulled away and into your father’s cloak.
“Don’t look, sweetheart.”
“Why isn’t mommy waking up?” You whimpered out, wiping your wet face on your father’s robes.
He pet your head. “She,” he sighed. “Y/N, I’m going to ask you a very important question and I need you to answer honestly. Do you think you can do that for daddy?”
That was the rule. You always had to answer ‘important’ questions with the full truth. Often times you were rewarded for being so cooperative. You didn’t feel like you deserved any special treatment then.
“How long has mommy been hurting you like that? Is it always while I am away?”
You swallowed back at sob while more tears poured from your eyes. “She says that sometimes I’m not a good daughter. Sometimes I don’t obey her even when she’s singing. Sometimes mommy gets upset that I don’t want to help her. I don’t mean to make her so mad sometimes but-!” You cried louder. You didn’t understand the question. “Why won’t she get up?!”
Your father bent down and brought you into a tight hug. You trembled while you sobbed into his embrace.
“Oh Kira,” your father’s voice was sorrowful as he spoke to your mother. You’d never heard his voice get so low before. It was terrible. “Mommy’s should never treat their children like that, Y/N, and now Mommy has to sleep for a very long time. I’m… I’m sorry that I didn’t know about this sooner. Maybe something else could’ve been done. I haven’t been a very good father to you, have I?”
“A very long time…?” You tried to turn back to your mother’s display but your father wouldn’t let you. “Will she ever wake up?”
A single tear fell away from your father’s long lashes. “No, baby. She won’t ever wake up.”
A dark purple cloud of energy started pouring out of your father’s sleeves. The air grew cooler and your skin prickled as his magicks slid past you, enveloping your mother’s body. You heard a small crackle of thunder, familiar to you only when your father used his quirk, and it was over. Finally, you turned to see that the space before you was empty, your mother was missing, gone from your house, your life, your everything.
~
… so your brain… was an even bigger asshole than Katsuki Bakugou. You were already stressed the fuck out from the very long weekend you had, what with the date with Bakugou that had turned into a fight with that staple faced weirdo from the café, finding out that Todoroki, Midoriya, And Iida all fought the hero killer in their own, and Todoroki fucking kissing you in the hospital while you were worried about him! Not to mention that your internship was a complete bust with Uwabani stringing you, Yaoyarozu, and that 1-B girl, Kendo, around to her modeling gigs and throwing you all into her dumb commercial. Even when you went on patrols, you mostly stood back while Uwabani’s fans swarmed her. You craved action and you didn’t get any… except the kiss. And that was a huge problem.
Now you couldn’t even get a proper night’s sleep before you went back to school to face that problem. You rubbed away the excess sleep from your eyes and rolled out of bed. You weren’t going to cry. You’ve done your crying. You’ve known for a long time now that your biological father killed your mother. Even if he did it to ‘protect’ you, it didn’t change the fact that you loathed him but that didn’t mean you couldn’t be hurt by the not so distant memory.
You made your way to the closet and climbed up, using your shoe cubbies as stairs, to grab a cardboard box that has been untouched for years. In it, were some pictures you and drawings you furiously ignored but underneath it all laid your old stuffed dog. Your old pet you would animate when you were feeling lonely. You and Aizawa had cats so you didn’t need the pet but… the comfort was… something else. You didn’t want to bother Aizawa again, especially since you hadn’t told him about what had gone down during your date with Bakugou.
You threw yourself back into bed and squeezed your old toy under your chin. You wouldn’t cry, you told yourself again. Still, when your eyes finally fluttered closed again, your cheeks had already been stained. How stupid.
~
You really needed to laugh and you should thank Bakugou for providing you with such a glorious reason to. His once spiky hair was combed back nearly and flat against his head and he was trembling with rage while Sero and Kirishima poked fun at his new look.
“...I’ll kill you both!” He said through his teeth.
“I’d like to see you try, pretty boy!” Sero said, barely able to contain himself.
“What did you say!” And boom! His hair popped right back to its natural state and you tried, you tried not to laugh but you couldn’t help but double over with both Kirishima and Sero.
“Oh there it goes!”
You clutched your stomach while your other classmates talked about their internships. Apparently a lot of them, besides Iida, Todoroki, and Midoriya, had pretty eventful ones. You were kinda jealous.
Bakugou made his way over to you and a rush of guilt filled the pit of your stomach. You hadn’t told him about Todoroki kissing you. “At least I didn’t spend my internship, what, advertising hairspray?”
Ugh. That was unfair. You reached up and tousled his surprising soft spikes. “It’s too bad,” you smirked, “maybe you could’ve used some!”
He grabbed your hand and pushed it back to you, keeping his hands over yours. He leaned down, leveling his head with yours and whispered. “So, when were you planning on telling me about your little secret?”
Your eyes widened. He already knew about the kiss?! Your eyes darted to Todoroki who was sitting at his desk explaining that Endeavor had ‘saved’ them in Hosu City. He was talking to your other classmates but his eyes were on you. Did he fucking tell him? Would Todoroki do something like that? Honestly, he was full of surprises lately.
You turned back to Bakugou, face red with shame. “It’s not what you think,” you shied away from his piercing gaze, “I was worried for them so I visited them in Hosu and then he just… but I didn’t stop him. It didn’t mean anything though!”
Bakugou’s brows narrowed, trying to read your face. After a moment, he pulled you out of the class and set you against the wall, pressing his hand next to you. “Are you telling me that that half n’ half punk bastard kissed you?”
“Y-yeah? Isn’t that what you were asking about?”
“And you fucking let him?!” Oh Jesus Christ, he had no idea!
“It came out of nowhere, Bakugou! I was scared that he might’ve sustained critical damage or something and then… I don’t know! I didn’t ask him to!”
Bakugou’s lips twitched into a snarl. “Did you like it?”
“Bakugou!”
“Tsss!” He kicked the wall and you shuddered. You’ve never been afraid of Bakugou’s temper before but this time… you knew you had done something that actually hurt him… but it wasn’t like you guys were… official. “So you’re saying he took advantage of you?”
You shook your head. “No! I think… I think him, Iida, and Midoriya all went through something traumatic and-!”
“I’m done talking about this!” He hissed. You tried to reach out to him but he moved away from you. “I need a fucking moment, Y/N.”
You pressed your lips together and watched Bakugou shove his hands in his pockets. You stayed there frozen for a moment before turning on your heel and going back into class. That wasn’t… the worse case scenario.
You classmates’ eyes were on you as you walked over to your desk. Todoroki was on you immediately. You gave him a once over. He didn’t talk to you while you were at school.
“Are you okay?”
You kicked your feet together and wrapped your knuckles on your desk. Were you okay? Besides your lack of sleep, extreme guilt, and the heavy tension in your shoulders… “I’m fine.”
“Did you tell him…” Todoroki’s voice dropped to a whisper, “about us?”
If you had more energy, you would’ve groaned. “Todo,” You said, looking into his heterochromatic eyes, “there isn’t an ‘us.’”
“You say that now but Y/N,” his warm hand enveloped your own, “I know that I can change your mind…”
whispers could be heard from around the class. What the hell was Todoroki doing touching you like that in front of everyone?!
“HEY!” Smack! Bakugou slapped Todoroki’s hands away from yours, grabbed your arm, and pulled you away from Todoroki aaaaand-
Your lips met Bakugou’s and for a brief moment you forgot that you had an audience while Bakugou’s fingers met your chin and you were lost in the passion of the kiss. You moved your lips with him and felt him grin into the kiss before pulling away from you. You heard Mina let out an excited squeak.
Bakugou threw his arm around your waist and glared at Todoroki. “Keep your mitts off my girlfriend.”
Todoroki’s right arm started freezing over. “She’s not your girlfriend.”
“That’s enough,” Aizawa’s voice called from the front of the class. Todoroki’s ice disappeared and you could see Aizawa’s eyes glowing red, black hair swooping around him. “Class has begun. It’s time to stop acting idiotic and take your seats.”
Bakugou and Todoroki continued to glare at each other.
“I’m not going to ask again.” Aizawa was looking at you.
You gave Bakugou a push and scowled at Todoroki. “Go,” You said, sitting in your own desk.
Todoroki pushed into Bakugou’s shoulder as he past him to go to his chair. Bakugou’s hand flexed and you could see it start to light up. You grabbed it and gave it a squeeze. His eyes met yours and you kissed his knuckles. In a way, you were telling him that… maybe… you were his girlfriend.
He rolled his eyes and found his seat.

Tumblr media
Y/N’s POV
I’m walking towards my locker with Lydia as she’s talking my ear off about this guy she’s been seeing. I chuckle at her as she bluntly describes how amazing he was in the sheets. I stop at my locker, putting in my combination than I open my locker to put my books away for the day.
“Are you coming to lacrosse tryouts today?” Lydia asks me as she twirls her strawberry blonde hair with her fingers.
“Um, I don’t know. Stiles is going to be there and I’m way too nervous to even be in his presence. Why do you think I don’t eat lunch with you guys? I’ll tell you because he makes me nervous as cats.” I explain running my fingers through my hair. Stiles fucking Stilinski. He’s so gorgeous that every time I try to go up and talk to him, I feel like I’m going to throw up. I’ve asked Lydia to give me tips to talk to him, but she just keeps telling me to be myself.
“C’mon, Y/N. You at least have to try. Take baby steps even.” Lydia tells me grabbing my arm while dragging us both towards the lacrosse field.
“Lydia, I’m not ready. I-I just need more time to increase my self-esteem.” I whine trying to claw her hand off of mine. She stops outside the doors of the boys locker room staring at me with annoyed expression on her face.
“Seriously? You’re absolutely stunning. Everyone in this school probably wants to get with you, especially Stiles. He has been trying to get your attention since sophomore year.”
“He has?” I ask my heartbeat picking up.
“Yes. He tells me all the time that he wishes he could just go up to you and say literally anything. You’re not the only one who’s nervous.” She tells me, grabbing my wrist again and guiding us towards the bleachers.
I look down towards the field seeing the boys doing drills. I see Stiles violently tell Scott something swinging his hands around. Scott places his hands onto Stiles’ shoulders telling him something before both of them placed their helmets on.
“STILINSKI! MCCALL! GET THE LONG STICKS.” Coach yells after blowing violently into his whistle. They grab the long sticks as I make my way up the bleachers towards Lyds. I look back down seeing Stiles looking directly at me. My breath hitches in my throat and my face heats up as I see him give me one of his signature winks. I tuck a piece of hair behind my ear giving him a small smile as I take a seat next to Lydia.
“I saw your little interaction with Stiles.” She announces while wiggling her eyebrows, playfully.
“Shut up,” I tell her giggling, “Don’t tell anyone this but when he winked at me, I died a little on the inside. H-He can make me melt by doing the littlest things.” I groan putting my head in my hands.
“Since you managed to survive in his presence now. You’ll come to the big game tomorrow, right?” Lydia asks me with a large grin on his face.
“I-I guess I can.” I tell her pressing my lips together.
“Great! I can do your makeup in the morning if you want me, too!” She excitingly claps her hands. I giggle at her excitement nodding my head in agreement.
After Practice
I was heading towards my car when I heard a familiar voice yell my name, “Y/N!” I turn around seeing Stiles running towards me and I slightly panic looking around for Lydia. I curse to myself slightly seeing her car missing from the school parking lot. Stiles catches up to me as I wait for him next to my car, fiddling with my fingers reminding myself to just breathe and to be myself.
“Uh, Y/N! Hi.” Stiles tells me, nervousness laced in his voice.
“Hi, Stiles.” I quietly say giving him a small smile.
“So, I wanted to ask you something. Since tomorrow is the big game and what not. It’s sort of tradition for people to wear jersey of some of the guys on teams and I um -- I was wondering if maybe, you wanted to wear mine?” He asks nervously rubbing his neck. I look at him with wide eyes as my fingers unconsciously pinch myself and I wince in pain, certain this had to be a dream. Stiles looks at me with worry written over his features as he grabs my arm rubbing the spot I just pinched. I look up at him in shock as butterflies fill in my stomach.
“W-Why do you want me to wear your jersey?” I ask, my heartbeat picking up for the third
time today.
“Well. There’s a good possibility that I’ve got a huge crush on you and I really want to impress you.” I blush at his response as I softly grab the jersey Stiles had in his hand.
“Y-You have a crush on me?” I ask.
“How could I not? You’re one of the nicest and sweetest people I’ve ever met. I’ve been wanting to talk to you for a while, but I always thought that you wouldn’t want to because every time I try to you would walk away from me.”
“O-Oh, god. I’m so sorry. I-I would walk away because I get way too nervous around you, Stiles. I also have a huge crush on you, so I would love to wear your jersey.” I smile up at him and his face lights up. “I really need to get going though, so I’ll see you tomorrow before the game?” I ask placing his jersey into my backpack.
“Right! I’ll see you tomorrow. You’ll be wearing my jersey a-and maybe I can take you out after the game? I would love to take you on a date.” Stiles rambles running his fingers through his flat hair.
“I’ll tell you what. If you guys win the game tomorrow, I’ll let you take me out.” I say feeling more confidently knowing that Stiles feels the same way as I do.
Game Day
After calling Lydia last night about Stiles asking me to wear his hoodie and that he asked me out, she insisted on doing my makeup so it matched the jersey and to make me “drop dead gorgeous” as she says. We walk into the school together before the game starts and everyone turned their heads towards us. I look to Lydia wondering why everyone is staring and she just shrugs as we continue walking down towards the boys locker room. I find Stiles standing outside of the locker room checking his phone and looking around as if he’s looking for someone.
“Looking for someone in particular?” I ask and he jumps letting out a yell before placing a hand to his heart.
“God you scared me. I-I was actually looking for you.” He tells me and I chuckle slightly.
“Well here I am.” I tell him biting my lip softly, “H-How do I look?” I ask, a blush appearing on my pale cheeks. His eyes rake down my body as his mouth parts in amazement.
“W-Wow. Y-You look amazing and I hate that I need to take it back because it looks better on you than myself.” He tells me, his cheeks slightly turning pink.
“Aw, you really think so?” I ask looking down at my shoes. Stiles’ finger hooks under my chin making me look up at him and he nods. We continue looking into each other's eyes as our faces gravitate towards each other. I pull away quickly pursing my lips together and Stiles looks down at me furrowing his eyebrows.
“S-Sorry it’s just that I don’t kiss before the first date.” I say giggling tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. He nods his head and rubs the back of his neck.
“N-Not even to give me good luck?” He asks chewing on his bottom lip.
“W-Well, I mean I-I guess I could do that.” I say and lean on my tippy toes pressing a kiss to his cheek. He smiles down at me and mentions something about how I missed. I was about to ask him what he meant when he cuts me off with a proper kiss to my lips. My eyes widen feeling his hands slide around my waist, I finally start to kiss back as my hands wrap around his neck going into his hair. We pull apart slightly as we breathe into each other mouths as our lips brush against each others.
“Good luck, Stiles. You’ve got this and know that no matter if you win or lose I’ll probably still take you up on that offer.” I smile against his lips as my eyes flutter open looking up at his whiskey eyes. We jump apart as we hear coach blow his whistle and Stiles looks behind him seeing people heading out towards the field.
“I-I should probably get going, but I’m going to need that.” His eyes land on the jersey I’m wearing and I open my backpack to look for the shirt I thought I had but I can’t find it. I look up at Stiles in a state of panic. “What? What’s the matter?” He asks as he looks worried.
“I forgot a shirt. I can’t believe I forgot a shirt.” I groan leaning my head against Stiles’ chest. His ginormous beautiful hands rub my back as he thinks of an idea, “You can wear my flannel.” He says taking it off before handing it to me. I smile up at him while retrieving the article of clothing and walking further into the boy’s locker room. I take his jersey off replacing it with his flannel, as I start buttoning it up Stiles walks in removing his undershirt, throwing it into his bag. I secretly check him out, looking away before he see’s me. He puts his jersey on and looks over at me with a big smile on his face.
“Ready?” He asks reaching his hand out to take mine. I nod my head grabbing his hand as we walk outside towards the field, once we were outside I find Lydia sitting with Malia and Kira.
“I’m going to go sit with the girls. Again, good luck, I know you can do it.” I say smiling up at him. In response he leans over placing a soft kiss against my cheek and my cheeks start to get warm, indicating that I’m blushing furiously. He heads onto the field and I see Scott give him a high five, I giggle lightly as I make my way towards the girls to see all of them giving me a knowing look. I roll my eyes sitting next to Kira as the game starts.
The whistle blew was an indicator that the game has started. My eyes never really left Stiles’ body running back and forth on the field. I kept chewing on my fingernails when Stiles gets the ball, only to be literally ran over by the opponent’s players. Right now we’re tied at 2-2 and there’s only five minutes left. My leg starts to shake out of anxiety as the ball was thrown towards Stiles’ direction. He runs to get it, but is tackled by a huge player from the opposite team. I gasp slightly placing my hands over my mouth, hoping that he’s okay. I look towards the game clock seeing that there’s only a minute left. Boy five minutes go by quickly. C’mon, Stiles! You can do this. Scott passes the ball towards Stiles once again, so he can redeem himself and I scream as I see him catch it. He runs towards the opponent’s goal as the timer counts down to literally seconds left.
“SHOOT IT, STILES!” I scream loudly and he looks towards the bleachers seeing me all hyped up, he turns back to towards the goal shooting the ball and he makes the shot just as the buzzer goes off. I scream in excitement that he scored the winning shot and I make my way down to the field along with everyone else that’s in the audience. I jump up and began my search for the dark-haired and mole covered boy in the mass of people on the field. I bump into someone and I look up at them to apologize when I see that it’s Stiles. I smile widely as I wrap my arms around his neck.
“You did so well, Stiles!” I say excitingly as I pull away from the hug. Stiles looks down at me with a big grin on his face as he places his hands on my cheeks pressing his lips against mine. I gasp slightly into the kiss and I start to move my lips against his. His presses his lips harder against mine as his hands move to my hair. As we pull away he looks down at me as my eyes are still closed and a smile appears on my lips. One of his hands move to my cheekbone rubbing it softly with the pads of his thumbs.
“I really don’t want to wait to ask you this. So, I’m going to ask you right now,” Stiles lets out a breath and I look up at him biting my lip softly. “Will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend? I don’t think that I can stay away now that I’ve tasted these pretty lips of yours.” He asks and runs his thumb over my bottom lip.
“I would love to be your girlfriend, Stiles.” I smile leaning back up to place a passionate kiss to his lips as his hands move to my hips.
