rewatched trials and tribble-ations, and they should've let Jadzia flirt with these two !! but they knew she would be too powerful and she would change the timeline for good smh

watching star trek next gen for first time! with my friends iam enjoying ittt i have to learn how to draw all their faces before ican draw them doing anything though

i'm sure i'm oversimplifying but talking is basically just air being vibrated in certain ways by the vocal chords to make different sounds! so that sounds like something odo could simulate

thats what i was thinking! but it seems like a very tough process to figure out

then again, if you figure out how to become a almost completely-humanoid looking being, then maybe it isn't that tough after all

i mean the guy has no problems blinking, walking or even figuring out how hands work (if they had more budget, the potential for body horror with Odo would be so cool. everything being just slightly off about him), figuring out how to vibrate air in order to make sound probably isn't that hard

either way, i have so much admiration for shapeshifters. Odo is so cool. love that soupy fellow

wait how does Odo speak? like humanoids and animals and stuff have vocal chords in order to speak, but Odo's just goop pretending to be humanoid, and im pretty sure he's just fully liquid inside... so what is he using to talk?

do shapeshifters just have the ability to talk/make sounds even as goop? or does he have to create a separate little voice box for him to be able to speak? how is he creating the sound??

like i understand that he doesn't really need eyes to see and stuff (they're sort of just for looks, aren't they? he doesn't actually need a face or anything. it's just to look more humanoid), so is it sort of just like that?
