i feel like you know a lot of art books so i was wondering if you know any books you can recommend on sceneries/landscapes? 🙏🏼
Oh this is a tough one as I actually need to study up myself!! BUT the good news is that scenery and landscapes methods are one of the most well-documented genres of painting tutorials, so we should be golden. I'm going to go on a research hunt and try to pull a collection of resources together for us.
I can say that I can often find fun painting and how-to magazines in the supermarket, hobby shops or news stands here, so perhaps it's the same on the continent!
Fantastic artists to study in the meantime are those who you can see use colour to illustrate landscape and depth:

Vincent van Gogh
and without a hint of irony, Bob Ross (seeing his paintings go from start to finish really helped me get my head around how to construct a landscape)
