House M.D. but it's when Wilson says House's name
#house md#james wilson#prince's talk tag#finally!!! it's done! this and the house version took almost two weeks to do#first off thank you to the clinic-duty team on livejournal for making the transcripts for these episodes#because this video would be near impossible to make without their clear transcripts. I hope y'all are doing well#ive been reading a lot of fics with these two and i see how the authors have the characters refer to each other in their fics#and that got me wondering how much do they say each other's name in the show and how do they refer to each other#since this is the wilson video ill put his stats here#s1 was 11 times s2 was 18 s3 was 45 s4 was 32 s5 was 41 s6 was 60 s7 was 47 and s8 was 48#in total he says his name 302 times. Mostly refers to him just by House#the only time I've heard him say his first name its when he's being professional or when he's really angry (and that one time he proposed)#and even then it's always the full name not just the first name#the only instance I've seen him use just his first name was on that note he put on House's xmas gift that we see in season 5#and as much as I wanted to put that moment in here he never actually says the contents of the note out loud so i had to leave it out#but what surprised me was he says House's name more than House says his name#especially when the earlier seasons didn't have him say his name as much

no change in the movies pisses me off more than them having peeta just scream "ur all gonna die!!!1!1" at the camera with the hard cut to haymitch going "that was a warning (empath)" when in the book it was peeta struggling to even get the warning out and literally everyone in 13 expect haymitch and katniss going "wtf did he mean by that he can't be trusted" to which haymitch had to desperately plead with coin to listen to the warning, because that's obviously what is was, and none of them know peeta except for him and katniss
Like as unintentionally funny as the scene in the movie is it wasn't even a moment in the books that makes haymitch seem all that clever, like they try to spin in it the movie, it was just him knowing and trusting peeta. It was a testiment to his love for the kid, not anything else ughhfhfjkdkdkf
#they really unintentionally dumb haymitch and katniss down#with this scene with the notes in the games by not showing us his games#like haymitch and katniss are incredibly clever and a lot of that is shown in the books by how they effortlessly understand each other#obviously a big one is ''im with the mockingjay''#but then communicating through gifts in the games#haymitch knowing exactly how to get katniss to be appealing on a screen#How he survived his games with the forcefield and figuring out the trick of the arena...#the list is endless but they cut out so many of the moments from the movies and focus on the wrong ones#so movie haymitch just doesn't hold the same punch to me and book haymitch#also forever mad about him being blonde in the movies#haymitch abernathy#the hunger games#:v

He didn't really cared for his hair, or for his new scar, one more on his already fucked up side. But it was still hard to go back camp, everyone cheering, checking in... He couldn't netrunner anymore. Couldn't use his neural implant, couldn't force on his biomonitor for a while- he hated it, hated feeling useless.
While Panam updated Valentin on everything that happened those past weeks, Mitch took the occasion to sneak out and shave his head.
Heck, it'll grow back. He did it back when enroling for the war, with Driss.
Valentin remembered it too, from the old pictures he showed him.
And upon seeing him like that, Val couldn't help but burst into tears

"Whyyy, why would you- You didn't have to! I don't want you to- to see yourself like this, to get reminded-"

i would love to enjoy everything that stardew valley has to offer but unfortunately i approach this game the same way i approach real life: avoid all social interaction and tend to my garden in belligerent silence

no cause Ashley Johnson literally made eye contact with me at the SD Comic Con panel. I got so excited I did a little wiggle and she thought it was so cute and she got all excited back and did a little wiggle too. It was the greatest moment of my life. I peaked

gonna do a load of laundry and watch a sweeney 🥾 and i think that’s a fine way to spend a christmas, don’t you?
#suddenly thinking abt sweeney lovett and toby spending a singular christmas together#grumpy old man sweeney surprises mrs lovett with a trinket of some sort which moves her to tears#sweeney is utterly embarrassed but secretly a little pleased with himself#mrs lovett knits both of her boys scarves and spends the entire day making more food than the three of them could possibly hope to eat#toby and sweeney spend most of the day trying to avoid each other#but sweeney (at mrs lovett's urging) gifts toby an entire bottle of gin all his own which thaws toby out considerably#toby passes out drunk in front of the fire with a belly full of mrs lovett's cooking#mrs lovett breaks out a bottle of something nicer she's been saving once she's sure toby is out for the night and shares it with sweeney#for once she doesn't talk too much and nothing spoils the moment#idk just let me have this

I started reading Lord of the Rings (bought Fellowship of the Ring like… last spring but never got around to starting) and I’d just like to say. Holy fuck what a slow book. You mean to tell me I’m over a hundred pages in and this man is only just leaving the Shire? Sign me up for MORE I love this shit. Tolkien said “I will take exactly as much time as I want to describe things and you will like it”. AND I DO
#i can already tell this is the sort of thing that’s going to be so good I’ll never recover from it#I’ve watched the movies like casually-in-the-background a couple times so I know the approximate plot#(they often run on TV somewhere around Christmas and New Year’s in Sweden so they’ve been on more than twice)#but there’s so much detail here that’s just… missed out on… in the films#Or I forgot about it lmfao#Either way loving the book detail#And also reading a book for the first time in months i told my mom id been reading today and she was like YOURE READING?!#It’s part of my social media healing process. Forcing me to like… sit down and take shit in#Used to DEVOUR books when I was younger#Just Kinda Stopped at some point (much like every other former gifted kid)#But it’s a well missed moment of escapism and calm and centering myself. meditative almost#I find lotr to be good also because it’s like… a little heavy. You can read a chapter and then sit with it for a little while#Im not quite reaching the heavy cliffhangers yet either#Each chapter feels pretty concluded#It’s a healthier reading method I feel than the ‘devour in one night then don’t read for 6 months’ thing I did in high school#the few times i DID sit down to read a book#God damn those are some long tags#z talks#not horse game#I feel so late to the party because I always see all these people enjoying lotr ;-; its so established and here am i….#but alas

out here experiencing cathartic irl symbolism tonight woo!!
#the situation with my college was resolved!! not in the most satisfactory way unfortunately#like there was no final moment where i got to tell them how their actions impacted me or apology for their behaviour#BUT. when i texted scott about it he had a really sweet supportive response and ended it saying i can keep the jacket i borrowed from him#(which i had offered to give back next time we see each other and thanked him for letting it be a companion to me in this rough time)#and tbh scott fully gifting me this jacket is so significant in a lot of different ways#like if this was a fictional story the jacket would 100% be that object you analyze as ''this is a symbol of (prevalent themes)''#so even if there was no cathartic ending from my school except ''fine we're gonna stop censoring this thing''#scott was able to give me that sense of closure on this difficult journey while also being excited to see what we get into next#i'm so excited to keep working with him in the future. it's all worth it for this bizarre and unique friendship
