When Triple S was just starting out, Eggman gave them a good chunk of freedom with their song writing!! surprisingly they all had a pretty similar taste in music so the arguments were kept to a minimum abdjdhd
unfortunately the direction they were taking their music in was a little niche for Eggman's liking and he slowly started pushing them towards the more mainstream genres. (this sort of spans over a couple months). eventually he flat out starts writing the songs for them (more like he gets orbot to write em absjhr).
essentially the pipeline was alt band you've never heard of on soundcloud to a fucking 1D clone

Shadow Robotnik had been invited to join Rouge the Bat to watch a new band in town, "Dude-itude", a rock band that consisted of a Fox, an Echidna, and a Hedgehog, whom of which Shadow had never heard of.
When the pair arrive to the performance, Shadow begins to feel shifty, a bit uncomfortable in the large crowds and not knowing anyone other than his only friend and Co-Worker. Rouge suggested he take up this opportunity to meet new people, and Shadow believes that no-one will approach him due to his self-isolating and paranoid nature.
The band begins to play, and Shadow doesn't mind it at first, he enjoyed the more rock nature of the band. He feels someone staring at him, someone watching him. He looks towards the stage to find the blue hedgehog staring right at him, taking in Shadow's appearance.
And Shadow can't help but stare right back.

The brothers and Wade forming a band in the credits is amazing and we desperately need Dude-itude to make a comeback (also it's a really funny detail I didn't notice at first that Wade changes instruments every episode)
The fact they potentially hinted at this and we didn't get to anything with it was pretty sad.
I was hoping we would get them having some bonding time and performing in the garage or something.

I like to think Tails truly did have the upper hand in that Boom episode where a bet was made to see if he could capture Sonic. Keep in mind that he's the one that proposes that the loser has to sing a romantic song at Meh Burger Karaoke Night, but he doesn't look embarrassed doing that at the end, and even seems to enjoy himself. He may be singing off-key, but the episodes involving Dude-itude shows he actually does have a pretty good singing voice, so that logically means he's intentionally singing bad to be petty towards Sonic since he technically won the bet. Plus he's already dating Zooey at this point, so that may be why he specifically chose a love song (that and Sonic's obvious nervousness about his crush on Amy).
Oh he did have the upper hand. Part of it was extreme sibling competitiveness combined with the fact that he knows Sonic better than anybody else possibly could, that's his big brother.
However, I think that even if a part of him knew he won, he was too caught up in the guilt of accidentally harming his brother and friends to notice who won and who lost and just went along with it. But singing a love song off key when it has been established he is actually a pretty good singer? Be has to be getting back at Sonic

The thing about me is that I am a Klavier Gavin fan but like, in a silly way.
On the one hand, he's the haha funny guitar man and his attempts to be suave and cool just come across to me as obnoxiously cringefail, thus endearing him to me. Characters that are losers are very charming to me. Also characters that are annoying are charming to me.
But on the other hand, I think he is fascinating because when you crack his psyche open like a walnut you get to really dig into a truly traumatized character. Dude has so much hidden angst right there for the picking. And he keeps all his pain a secret, which makes him doubly interesting, because repression is juicy, I guess.
And this whole thing is only compounded by his incredibly simple and complicated relationship to Apollo Justice, wherein they might be the best equipped people to understand each other, because a lot of their traumas match and they both have one particular minefield of a character in common. The two of them are intrinsically connected, even disregarding their status as court rivals.
But, but, even more than that, his contribution to the, like, evolving worldview of Ace Attorney. Like, up to this point there's been a very distinct implied mentality of Defense Attorney=Good Prosecutor=Bad, but then there's the Gavin brothers, where we see a Bad Defense Attorney and a Good Prosecutor, and it's really hammered home that the real Good is the truth and honest justice. Like, Prosecutor Klavier Gavin is a rockstar-prosecutor and a fierce opponent, but he is ultimately, more than anything, a Good Man and a person who values truth above personal gain. That and he is the only serious Prosecutor (no, I am not counting the Payne brothers in this) who is never, at any point, threatening. Intimidating? yes. But never threatening. He is friendly and helpful by nature. He is at once cunning and kind. Sharp witted but soft hearted. And all this hidden behind a rockstar persona and glimmerous fop-itude.
That and his rockstar theme was the law, of all things. That is so incredibly dorky. And he was made a Prosecutor at what 17? 18? which means he must have done law school during regular high school, if not homeschool instead. And there's the potential that he toured with his band while studying law textbooks in the band trailer. That is,,, so nerdy. This man is a nerd. I don't care that he's a rockstar, his rockband theme was Being A Lawyer, which is a fundamentally nerdy profession. I bet you he has glasses. I bet you he has glasses and just wears contacts to court. I want to see him in cute nerdy glasses, I want this. I want to see him drop his rockstar persona thing a bit and embrace how very nerdy he is.
God, and then there's the bizarre German affectation thing, that is impossible to place as entirely fake or simply exaggerated truth. For my part, I figure he is genuinely german to some degree, but german phrases became part of his persona. I dunno, there's a lot to be analyzed with the concept of The Persona vs. The Self with this character.
This guy is like five different contradictions and half-obscured truths stacked on top of each other and then covered with glitter. What can I say? He compells me.

one of my favorite versions of tails!! i dressed as boom tails for halloween<3
very silly cg, tails himself is an age regressor so he's pretty capable of handling a little
will sometimes take his kiddo for a ride in his plane!! he flies very carefully with his small one, unlike the reckless flying he does w sonic
sometimes takes them to meh burger, a truly alright experience
just to make his little laugh, tails would pull out the dude-itude performance costume and dance around and sing!!
theyd usually also hang out w the gang, specifically gravitating towards amy considering how caring she is<3
tails would also probably build and make things for his baby! he could make an entire room for them given the time and materials
very big on hugs and kisses
takes his kiddo to the beach!! they're on bygone ISLAND, so why not make the most out of an island?
tails would also probably try to get better at singing, rather than the improvised work for "dreamboat express", and would sing lullabies a lot<3

Rocky:(Bashfully) Oh-- I just kinda dabble... ^^;
Amy Rose: Hey, speak up. We can't hear you.
Rocky: Sorry, guys. I'm kinda shy.* I didn't think anyone would ever hear my drumming.
???: Well, It's a good thing I DID. The name's Gunther. I'm a manager, A talent manager. Your little band here, it's got talent. You ever consider playing on tour? Recording an album? Living a life you never have DREAMED of?
Klick: Why, no. I never HAVE considered living a dream I've never heard of.
Gunther: Well, all that changes today. I have here a contract. Sign it and I'll make you famous ;)
Tails: Cool!
Rocky: Um... What if we don't wanna sign?
Klick: WHAT? Why WOULDN'T you sign?
Rocky: Well, It's just... I don't really WANNA be famous.*
Gunther: Did that cheap drum set rupture parts of your hearing, kid? Did you just say you did not want to be famous? (I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that.) Everybody sign!
(All of them start signing in their contracts, except for Rocky, who is still hesitant of the idea, at first. Gunther then notices the look on Rocky's face as he takes a moment to think.)
Gunther: Good, good! Everybody sign! Uh... Rocky?
Rocky: *Sighs* ...I don't know.
Tails: We need you, Rocky! You're the best person in the band!
Sonic: Yeah! We had a band before called "Dude-itude"! It didn't work out because of how lousy our last drummer was!
Klick:(Feeling a bit offended) Heeeey! I was the drummer for Dude-itude!
Rocky: Well, if you guys need me to sign, then I won't stand in the way of your dreams.
(All begin to cheer)
Rocky: Yeah... *Sighs*

sequel episode to battle of the boy bands in which the mayor decides to host a singing competition because [reason], and the prize is a limited edition fuzzy puppy buddies figurine that was discontinued in '87. amy, upon hearing this, asks/begs/demands/convinces sonic to reform dude-itude and enter because he [did something to tick her off and this is reparations, or something].
after a lot of stupidity they show up to the competition and there's only one other band - team dark. team sonic/dude-itude is shocked, of course, and asks them what in the world theyre doing there. shadow, not expecting team sonic of all people, immediately starts grandstanding to distract from the fact of. well everything going on here, but omega loudly interrupts to tell sonic that they're there to defeat all the inferior meatbags (namely, sonic & co) in a battle of epic proportions and, as undisputed victors, claim the fuzzy puppy buddies figure for shadow's collection. (eggman, being a passionate collector, tried to enter with backup dancers orbot and cubot, but was disqualified for [stupid reason]).
omega is about to start making incredibly violent threats towards sonic & co when he sees eggman and immediately switches targets. rouge is like "omega we TALKED about this" and spends the next 5 minutes trying to stop omega from assaulting eggman in the background while amy starts geeking out and is mostly very aggressively passionate about fuzzy puppy buddies at shadow, who hasnt the faintest clue how to respond.
the battle of epic proportions begins - at first it goes fairly smoothly, but at some point tails notices something off. while team dark is singing their final bit, tails goes backstage and realizes that they're actually lipsyncing because none of them can sing. for the record the song voices are completely different and also omega's "singing" is, notably, not robotic. tails unplugs the speaker and the stage goes uncomfortably silent. everybody just Stares. rouge turns and points at nothing in the distance while saying "look! a convenient distraction!" and by the time everyone turns back they are gone.
eggman says something to the extent of "well okay now that the entertainment is over i'm done with this" and calls his robots to seize the special edition fuzzy puppy buddies figure, only for everybody to discover the case is empty (clearly rouge's handiwork). amy is DISTRAUGHT her life is RUINED its in SHAMBLES she'll NEVER RECOVER she falls to her KNEES the camera SPINS the music CRESCENDOS she starts SCREAMING in AGONY
cut to the next morning and the boom squad is sitting around amy's couch and she cheerfully says, "and then i found the figure on my doorstep when i got home!" while proudly displaying the newest addition to her collection. the end.
