Okay so I just finished Dororo (2019) and I have extremely mixed feelings.

About this specifically.

Dororo never wanted to live as a girl, never expressed any interest in it, I believe in the the manga he said he'd never be a girl or smth.

The way it's framed just bothers me, because the whole show was set up like some "found sibling" type bs.

I understand that's not the point of Hyakkimaru's story, but I do think it is Dororo's, he found a sibling, a protector, a new family. It may just be me, but the last couple eps and then with this visual I was really getting some romantic implications.

That could be me interpreting it wrong, but I didn't like the fact that they separated anyway, and then this bs with Dororo being femme??? Just,, it rubbed me the wrong way. I very much enjoyed a lot of this anime, but the end here just really left a weird taste in my mouth.

DORORO FANDOM HALP??

PLEASE y'all tell me this art I have in my head wasn't just dreamed up and was in fact real at some point??

So I recently watched Dororo w my bf and at the end of it I mentioned that I thought I saw an artwork someone did of Jukai, Nui and Tahoumaru living as peasants after the end of the show. I swear to god I remember seeing the picture, I think they were doing chores in the pic??
