[She’s too young for Doreah at 16 but her scenes are quite good for Doreah’s death. She has fair hair and blue eyes. She wears modern clothes but it’s mostly loose fitting linen so it works.]

Show: The Tudors [2007] [Season 3 & Ep.8]

[Shes 22 so two years too old although she does play a younger character. She has fair hair and has blue eyes. She wears Tudor ish clothes.]

Movie: Quo Vadis [2001]

[She was 22 - 23 during the filming of this movie so a couple years too old. She had fair skin but doesn’t have blue eyes. She wears Roman clothing.]

ASOIAF FANCASTING --> EVERY NAMED FEMALE CHARACTER ABOVE THE AGE OF FIVE, PART XVIII

Doreah (278-299 AC): Handmaiden to Daenerys Targaryen, a slave given to her after her marriage to Khal Drogo. She instructs Dany in the arts of love. After Drogo dies and Dany leads her tiny khalasar into the red waste, Doreah dies of a wasting illness. Fancast: Bonnie Sveen.

Dorna Swyft (b. approx. 250 AC): Daughter of Ser Harys Swyft of Cornfield, and wife to Kevan Lannister, younger brother of Lord Tywin. They have four children together, including Lancel. Fancast: Jennifer Morrison.

Doshi (lived during the Century of Blood from 102 BC up to Aegon’s Conquest): A witch queen and the mother of Khal Mengo, a Dothraki warlord who united all the Dothraki under his command. Fancast: Amira Ghazalla.

Druselka (era of Valyrian conquest): A priestess who took part in the migration of the Rhoynar under Princess Nymeria. After the Rhoynar left the Summer Isles, she convinced her followers that she had heard Mother Rhoyne calling them home, and they should return to their cities. Unfortunately, all they found upon their return were the Valyrian conquerors who hunted them down and enslaved them. Fancast: Tonantzin Carmelo.

Dyah (main series era): One of Craster's wives; she helps Sam and Gilly escape the mutiny of the Night's Watch at Craster's Keep. Fancast: Soo Drouet.

Dyanna Dayne (c. 175-205 AC): Wife of Prince Maekar, fourth son of King Daeron the Good, who later became king as Maekar I. They had six children, including Daeron the Drunken, Aerion Brightflame, Maester Aemon, and Aegon the Unlikely. She died shortly after the birth of her youngest child, Rhae. Fancast: Katie McGrath.

Eddara Tallhart (b. 290 AC): Daughter of Helman Tallhart of Torrhen's Square. Her father is killed in battle in the War of the Five Kings, and her brother Benfred is slain by the ironmen, making her the Lady of Torrhen's Square. She is currently a captive of Dagmer Cleftjaw. Fancast: Brooklynn Prince.

Septa Edyth (c. 36-60 AC): As a novice, she was sent to Dragonstone to try and discourage the marriage between Jaehaerys I and Good Queen Alysanne. However, Alysanne quickly won her and the other septas over to her side, and she became a devoted friend of hers, even defending the queen when she was attacked at Maidenpool. She died of the Shivers. Fancast: Elizabeth Blackmore.

Septa Eglantine (main series era): She accompanies Princess Myrcella Baratheon on her voyage to Dorne to meet her betrothed, Prince Trystane Martell, the youngest son of the ruling Prince Doran. She helps protect the princess by disguising her. Fancast: Amber Chaney.

Elaena Targaryen (b. approx. 100 BC): Eldest daughter of Daenys the Dreamer and Gaemon the Glorious, the Targaryen rulers of Dragonstone. She was married to her brother, Aegon, and ruled by his side after their parents. Fancast: Eliza Taylor.

I have to say, what made this Daenerys event so exciting and special to me in particular was the abundance of wonderful content made by book!Dany fans for book!Dany fans.

We received three gorgeous edits of Dany's book outfits!!!!!

We received four GLORIOUS gifsets (ALL of them!!!) of Dany's battle plans in Yunkai and Meereen!!!!! (As far as I can tell, there wasn't any for the Meereen strategy aside from a crappy one that I'd made, while the Yunkai plan was quoted before in captions, but was never the focus of the edit.)

We received three gifsets featuring the scene in which Dany visits and looks after the Astapori refugees!!!!! (I’m particularly happy about this one because, as far as I know, there was only one edit featuring this scene until this year. But then I used it for three crappy gifsets and commissioned an amazing fanart of it AND THEN Dany month happened)

We received five gifsets showing the moment in which Dany refuses to wash Hizdahr's feet if he doesn't wash hers first!!!!! (I think there was only one until this event)

We received the best Dany/Mirri Maz Duur edit of all time!!!!!

We received Dany/Daario edits that highlight how their relationship brings out Dany’s romantic and sweet side, as well as her dreams of home and love!!!!! I don't remember any similar one until now.

We received a gifset of the scene in which Dany jokes about how a firmer, stronger butt is what a good king needs!!!!! Now we have a gifset AND a fanart of this moment, I'm soooo happy about this!!!!!

We received a Jorah critical gifset!!!!!! It was about time, lol.

We received beautiful (and ACCURATE) edits about Dany's personality traits!!!!!

We received two gifsets with Dany fancasts riding the silver!!!!!

We received a gifset of Doreah's final moments!!!!!

We received a gifset of Dany sending a healer to take care of Belwas's wounds!!!!! AKHSJKSJO!!!!

We received a gifset of the scene at the end of ASOS highlighting how much Dany enjoys to read books as a hobby!!!!!

We received an edit showing that Dany pays attention to pickpockets on the streets because she's "no pampered lady"!!!!!

We received a fully comprehensive meta about Dany's intelligence and skills!!!!!

We received a gifset of the scene at the end of ADWD in which Dany realizes on her own that the locusts had been poisoned and that someone had tried to murder her!!!!!!

We received gifsets showcasing Dany's cast of supporting characters (most of whom - aside from Missandei and maybe Jorah - are wayyyy too often overlooked by the fandom) with excellent fancasts!!!!!

We received a gifset of the scene in which Dany laughs about Quentyn's "transformation" from frog to prince at court!!!!!

We received a gifset of Dany and Missandei's interaction at the end of ADWD Dany VIII!!!!!

We received beautiful gifsets showing how Dany is beloved by her people and seen as a symbol of hope!!!!!

We received two gifsets of Dany and Egg's parallels!!!!! They had never been giffed before, despite the two having some obvious similarities.

We received edits with unique concepts!!!!!

I probably forgot about other great edits and posts, sorry... But I'm writing this in a hurry and wanted to mention some of the highlights of the month for me, personally.

idk whether the amount of participation in this event was high or low because I'd never joined one before, but this one was a success for me regardless of that. The love, care and attention to book!Dany's character and storyline was really, really evident in every single day!

Ahhhh, I love Daenerys Targaryen!!!!! I love the Dany fandom!!!!! I love my fandom friends (this month was even more special to me because I talk to five of the people who regularly posted content, so I know how clever, talented and kind they are)!!!!! I can’t stop gushing about this event and all the content we got, I feel so incredibly grateful for it. <33333

Yeah, I would be doing more gifs. Not just of dothraki but of all the characters in Dany’s storyline. (And hopefully, other asoiaf characters and scenes too).

I kinda wanna match my Irri & Jhiqui with Rakharo/Jhogo/Aggo, hence I’m looking for East Asian and North East Asian fancasts, and I have found some with similar braids/hair ornaments/attire. So, there should be a Irri/Jhiqui/Doreah/Missandei set soon!

Random fancasting --> The Dothraki: Lesley-Ann Brandt as Irri

“She kissed Irri’s hand where Drogon had bitten it. ‘I’m sorry he hurt you. Dragons are not meant to be locked up in a small ship’s cabin.’

‘Dragons are like horses in this,’ Irri said. ‘And riders, too. The horses scream below, Khaleesi, and kick at the wooden walls. I hear them. And Jhiqui says the old women and the little ones scream too, when you are not here. They do not like this water cart. They do not like the black salt sea.’ ”

Both the Dothraki handmaidens are generally part of the background and scenery, simply adding completion to Dany’s picture. But they have been there from the beginning, two distinct presences, and they have witnessed the Mother of Dragons on her entire journey thus far.
