Dragon Collage 2
Tumblr media
Aye, the second set of dragons in my roster! Monster Hunter style icons because it still looks really nice and good doodle practice.
It was good going back into this style, really kicked off the doodlebug nicely. Also a very good reminder for me to work on em when I can, but man does it feel nice having visuals.
Might do more if the bug is strong enough, maybe with actual characters in the list... Who knows :>

30 Random Character Development Questions
1.) Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?
- Hannah still talks daily with her Mama and at least once a week with her Daddy. She loves them both dearly even if she is starting to question their strict rules. Her parents didn’t believe in spoiling their kids, but they were still well provided for. She definitely misses her Mama’s cooking and home but being away at school has been very freeing.
2.) What are your characters most prominent physical features?
- Her big brown eyes
3.) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason?
- As a kid, Hannah almost always had a scraped knee or elbow. One scar she has is a 3” scratch near her elbow on her right arm. She got it trying to climb after Joey up a tree in their yard when she was 9. She ended up having to get stitches.
4.) How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?
- Hannah was raised to be humble and modest. She knows she’s pretty but never brags about it or thinks about it much.
5.) What is your character’s sexual orientation?
- Heterosexual (Demisexual)
6.) Describe your character’s happiest memory.
- One of Hannah’s happiest memories was the first time she heard Joey verbalize ‘Doodlebug’ (his nickname for her). It is still one of the things he can say the clearest and what she would think of if she was trying to cast a patronus.
7.) Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?
- The only thing she sometimes wishes is that she was born deaf like the rest of her family. Being a hearing person in the deaf community occasionally makes her feel like an outsider. 8.) List of Favorites! What’s your character’s favorite ice cream flavor? Color? Song? Flower?
- Cookies & Cream, Yellow, How Great Thou Art, Gerbera Daisies 9.)  Who does your character trust?
- God, Linc, Joey (most of the time), Cassia, Sam, everyone really.
10.) Can you define a turning point in your character’s life?
1)     Starting speech therapy at the age of 4
2)     First trip to Disney World that she remembers at the age of 7
3)     Confirmation at the age of 14
4)     Moving away for college at the age of 18
11.) Is there an animal you equate with your character?
- A golden retriever
12.) How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email?
- She is decent, as a kid of the new millennium, but her screen time was limited up until she was in college so she is way behind the times in terms of understanding memes. 13.) What does your character’s bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?
- Hannah prefers sleeping with at least five pillows on the bed, surrounding her. She sleeps curled up on her side. As a kid, she always made her bed, per her parent’s rules but since starting college she has stopped.
14.)  How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold?
- Hannah hates the cold and always has a sweater with her, even in the summer.
15.) Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl?
- More of a night owl, though she wakes up at least an hour before her first class. She loves naps.
16.) Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones? Cousins, Uncles, Grandfathers, Aunts, et cetera. Are there any others that your character practically considers a blood relative?
- There aren’t any extended family that Hannah is especially close with. Her family lives quite a distance from any of them so she mostly just saw them for Holidays. Hannah considers Cassia a blood relative, and like the big sister God never gave her as a kid. 17.) What’s your character’s desk/workspace look like? Are they neat or messy?
- Hannah is most definitely a mess. Her desk has homework, pictures, a box of colored pencils & markers (some of them are not in the box) and her bullet journal.
18.) Is your character a good cook? What’s their favorite recipe, whether they’re good or not?
- She’s getting better, it was one of the skills her mom actively taught her during high school so that she could be a proper young woman. The thing she makes the best (and likes the best) is homemade baked macaroni and cheese, closely followed by the family recipe that has been passed down for generations to make meatballs.
19.) What’s your character’s preferred means of travel?
- Riding shotgun, driving makes her anxious. Though she loves plane rides because they always mean an adventure is coming.
20.) Does your character have any irrational fears?
- Spiders and other creepy-crawlies. Going to hell. Being intentionally poisoned by someone putting peanut in her food.
21.) What would your character’s cutie mark be? (The mark My Little Ponies have on them)
- Probably the Sun or a Rainbow
22.) If your character could time travel, where would they go?
- To the future, to see how things turn out for her.
23.) Is your character superstitious?
- Not particularly
24.) What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?
- Someone who is loving, kind, gentle, follower of Christ, and someone willing to learn ASL to be able to speak to her family if he is not Deaf.
25.) Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?
- Hannah’s hands are easily the most graceful part of her body. She is constantly talking with her hands in ASL when she doesn’t mean to. Her fingers are fairly long and slender, and she is always seen wearing at least one ring as it’s second favorite accessory. She usually has her nails painted in a pastel color.
26.) Second list of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite guilty pleasure, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday.
- Mama’s Pasta Fagioli soup, cheesy romance movies, one of her many sunflower dresses, spiced apple cider, autumn, CHRISTMAS!
27.) Pick two songs that describe your character at two different points of their life, and explain why you chose them.
1)     Fireflies – Faith Hill, This song encapsulates young Hannah so much! She is and was a dreamer who loves to go on adventures and believe in the magic of the little things in life.
2)     Don’t Forget to Remember Me – Carrie Underwood, This has a lot of the feelings that Hannah felt leaving for Massachusetts for school. It also is true to her (sort of) Southern roots.
28.) If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be?
- Probably a high school rom-com
29.) How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?
- Hannah doesn’t wear perfume often, most often she smells like her conditioner which smells like raspberries. She occasionally wears body spray, her favorite scent is Bath & Body Works Bright Autumn Blooms
30.) And finally: Write a letter to your character, from yourself.
Hannah Banana,
I have so loved getting to know you already. You’re really my first original character that I have fallen so in love with that I want to get to know even more. I know I intentionally set you up to get hurt sometimes, and I know that there’s going to be rough seas ahead. You can get through this. Never stop believing in true love and happily ever after.

#53 05/02/2021 #ProjectMindcube We don't exactly interact directly with the world around us. More accurately, we interact with the CONCEPTS already inside our headsthat have built up from repeated exposure, imagination, study, etc. Our brains create these things called heuristics, which are basically tags that allow the brain to assess a situation more quickly than if it had to process each interaction as entirely new and separate. Naturally this very helpful survival mechanism does us more harm than good. I.e. xenophobia. But with practice, you can get very good at responding to new incoming concepts rather than always trying to fit them into an older pattern of experience. Cleopatra Jones: The Analysis
Apparently released exactly one month after Coffy, Cleopatra Jones proves infinitely more digestible. Unsurprisingly, however, the moments underlaid by a sense of black feminist ethos are mostly confined to the black community represented in the film. The hierarchical race war rages on, as does the insidiousness of white feminism.
Like Coffy, Cleopatra/Cleo adopts a guise to cover up her true occupation. Superficially, she is an overseas model, yet her true identity is an undercover agent for the U.S. Government. Indeed, her prowess supersedes the sole use of guns, as she is trained in martial artistry. This skill of hers makes for several highly entertaining scenes in which she, quite simply, kicks ass. After taking down a trio of white male hitmen in an airport, she silences a pair of white cops with a flash of her special agent I.D. Later, after curb stomping another condescending, sadistic cop, her white male agency overseer mutters to a fellow gobsmacked white man, “You ever have feelings of inadequacy?”
Cleo acquires even more kickass cred when she jacks a dirtbike at a local race, startling the man she is chasing down for information, who seems to assume that her feminized incapability will mean that she won’t be able to follow him. These moments of skillful maneuvering are important in setting the tone for her representation, as they inspire awe rather than encourage fetishistic objectification. Furthermore, unlike Pam Grier in Coffy, Tamara Dobson is fully and appropriately clothed throughout the film. In other words, there is none of the unnecessary cleavage that seems to become Grier’s signature in Coffy. In fact, Dobson’s wardrobe oozes ‘70’s cool.
Despite Cleo’s tasteful style, Cleopatra Jones is not without its sexualization of black female bodies. Perhaps the most overt example of this is when two black men ogle Cleo’s retreating figure, giddily whispering to each other, “She looks like nuthin’ but bed!” At one point, Cleo is also reduced to the aforementioned “wild woman” stereotype as she pursues Snake, a black dope pusher, who calls her a “jive jungle freak.” Further sexism and misogyny is observable in the dismissal of a rape case by Cleo’s white male overseers (“Nobody’s perfect”) and the dramatization of Cleo’s supposed temper (“Whoo! She’s hot”), although she remains cooly stoic throughout the entirety of the film.
The aim to snuff out the drug trade reappears in Cleopatra Jones, which speaks to the political atmosphere at the time, specifically the heavily racialized War on Drugs. This time around, the white drug lord is “Mommy,” a bitter, bloated white woman who seeks to ruin Cleo after she burns her Turkish poppy field to ash. Mommy viciously refers to Cleo as a “coon,” and yet she ironically employs black men to do her bidding, as well as provocative white women, who apparently indulge her in her suggested sapphic proclivities. By subordinating these marginalized identities, Mommy simply reconstructs the white male power structure. Clearly, this is neither feminist-oriented nor revolutionary.
Black sisterhood takes center stage at several points in this film. Most notably, Cleo succeeds in saving Tiffany, a black woman who has been subjected to Mommy’s wrath. Furthermore, in one particularly lovely scene, the film features a female soul performance of “Swing Down, Sweet Chariot” in an all-black club venue. At one point, the Bechdel test is even *nearly* passed in an exchange between Cleo and a black female bakery owner, who also happens to be the mother of Cleo’s martial art pals.
Evidently, there is a substantially greater sense of black community in Cleopatra Jones. The film clearly has a black audience in mind, with humorous quips about white lawn jockeys and skepticism about the ethics of law enforcement. “Nothing smells worse than a rotten cop… Protect and serve? Shit.” Doodlebug’s refusal to remain one of Mommy’s henchmen is one of several moments of triumphant resistance. “You are no match for that black lady,” he sneers at Mommy before leaving her to rot in her own humiliation.
Black community is further underscored by Cleo’s healthy relationships with men in this film. Her black male friends clearly respect her, and her lover, Reuben, shows her sincere respect and admiration as well. Upon killing off Mommy and saving Jimmy, a black man that was wrongfully accused of drug possession by a group of white cops, Cleo is honored with a toast held by her community. Unlike Coffy, she chooses to venture off solo, leaving Reuben behind as second string to her priorities as a special agent. The film closes with a shot of her white agency overseer appropriating the black power fist and exclaiming, “Right on!” in her honor, to everyone’s amusement.
Hypersexualization, racist remarks, and questionable white allies aside, Cleopatra Jones arguably represents themes that adhere to black feminist ethos. Although the film certainly does not embody the tenets of black feminism in its entirety, it exhibits promise given the politically and racially tense atmosphere that defined the decade in which it was released.

22, 43, 13, for that character ask meme. idk any of ur characters tho so... choose ur tallest character? idk haha
Gunna do Chandi for this one because I have 1MIL characters and rn all I can think of is my doodlebug. This is Chandi. He’s a Hell Demon and a Warrior of his tribe. (He’s the one awake, wings wrapped around the Prince he is protecting). His legs are anthro and are scaled like a dragon. Also has a dragon tail. Art is by Simply-Psycho.This is his old ass ref that needs re-doing holy shit.
13. three things that set them off or make them anxious:
Chandi is generally calm and collective, and isn’t known for letting his temper get to him. However, there are a few that seem to get to him. He has a porcelain doll from his deceased sister that he keeps in his vest. If anyone touches it or it becomes out of his reach, he becomes increasingly nervous and aggressive. Mentioning the death of his comrades at war, or mentioning anything degrading about his tribes’ women. (The women are prized and feared as they are stronger than the males in magic. It’s not common to see a woman join their ranks, though they are more than welcomed to).22. opinion on romance?: Warriors believe they’ll die at war, or protecting their tribe and do not have time for romance. However, it does manage to happen.  Chandi is not a romance person, nor would he give it a second thought. He has never tried to woo any of his tribeswomen or tribesmen, so he probably just doesn’t care. He’s too busy fending off raiders from other tribes.
43. what’s one thing that turns them on?( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)Ok but no, it’s not as nasty to us humans as I make it out to be. Not even gunna have to mark it nsfw.
Chandi and his kind’s mating rituals depend on how large the males’ wings are, and of course if you could woo yourself a woman (or man; any sexuality is common among them). Like most of his kind, wings.  The size and power, the shape and the colors are what would attract your mate. If  your wings were small and were scarred, you’d have less of a chance at finding one. Flashing your wings at another, Chandi especially, would cause much embarrassment.  Unfortunately (or fortunately) for Chandi, he has very large and powerful wings. Of course he never stretches or extends them unless absolutely needed. Usually warriors’ wings are clipped for battle, but he was one of the very few there that had wings powerful enough for flying, and were therefore left alone. The Elders saw them good for tools of war.
So yeah, extending your wings at him would definitely cause him to be hot around the collar.

Class 2-A: Emoto Erika
Name: Emoto Erika
Quirk: Sketch
Hero Name: Artsy Hero, Doodlebug
Personal Description:
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Birthday: November 14th
Height: 5′3″
Weight: 120 lbs
Status:
Occupation: Student
Affiliation: U.A High
Fighting Style: Long-range Combat
Appearance: Erika’s a short girl with pale skin and an average build. She has brown hair with black tips that she usually ties into four low ponytails that resemble the tips of calligraphy brushes. Her nails are metallic and shaped like fountain pen nibs, and she uses them to channel her quirk more precisely.
Personality: Erika’s a very shy, withdrawn, and quiet girl who can usually be found hiding someplace quiet if left to her own devices. That being said, she seems to be more at ease when spending time with her girlfriends or working on various projects, Despite her nervousness, Erika’s very dedicated to not just her training as a hero, but also in various forms of visual art, such as painting and drawing.
Background: Erika’s quirk is a mutation of her father’s, which allows him to create images of light from his hands, something which helps him considerably in his career as an artist. Like many children, she was inspired by All Might and wanted to become a hero to help others, something that her parents encouraged, telling her things like ‘make the world your canvas’ and to ‘dye the world in her colors’. While unsure what those things meant, she applied to UA and was accepted. Her family lives in Mustufu and she commutes to school.
Stats:
Power: 2/5
Speed: 2/5
Technique: 5/5
Intelligence: 3/5
Cooperativeness: 3/5
Quirk:
Sketch: This emitter-type quirk allows Erika to produce an ink-like substance from her hands. While it can be thrown at enemies to blind them, its most interesting property manifests when she uses it to draw, as anything drawn using the ink produced by this quirk becomes real. These constructs can take a certain amount of damage before splattering into ink, but Erika can dispel them herself. Furthermore, she can make her constructs leave behind messages upon splattering, which makes them perfect for scouting and communication. Despite its versatility, this quirk has two major weaknesses. First, overproduction of this ink does result in dehydration, and all the adverse effects related to it. Second, this quirk’s functionality is entirely dependent on Erika being able to use her hands.
Special Moves:
Sheer Art Attack: Erika produces several drawings which come to life and attack her enemies all at once.
Scribble Wall: Erika frantically scribbles something on a piece of paper and throws it in front of her. The drawing then becomes real and forms a wall between her and her opponent.
Costume: Erika’s costume is probably one of the plainer ones in her class, consisting of a knee-length blue hoodie, which she wears open, showing off a black and white striped t-shirt, a pair of black pants and a pair of red sneakers. In a vague reference to her hero name, she wears a set of round goggles on her forehead. She also carries a messenger bag full of several sketchbooks, water bottles and a first-aid kit.
Equipment:
Sketchbooks: These sketchbooks are made with specially treated paper which renders them resistant to fire and water damage. Several pages in these sketchbooks are filled with unfinished drawings, allowing Erika to quickly summon constructs by adding some finishing touches.
Goggles: The goggles are more than just a fashion statement, Erika actually wears them in dangerous conditions to protect her eyesight.
Trivia:
She’s a polyamorous lesbian and has two girlfriends: Tsumugi and Ryuko.
She shares her birthday with Claude Monet, founder for French Impressionism.
Her last name uses the same characters as the Japanese word for picture book (画本)
Due to requiring her hands to use her quirk effectively, she’s trained herself to be ambidextrous.
Sometimes, she spends so much time working on various art projects, she forgets to eat, something that concerns her girlfriends.
While the ink produced by her quirk is black by default, she can consciously change its color to anything she wants. However, most of the drawings she uses for constructs remain black and white due to the urgency of quickly using her quirk.
