((THANK YOU!!! It's actually taken from a video by Dire Trip about a creep at a Cracker Barrel who got beaten up by a bunch of angry dads. The video itself is far from funny, but the phrase "cracker barrel street justice" stuck in my head and I couldn't stop thinking about it and cracking up. So I decided to keep it as a crack tag.))
((I cropped the dude because he got beaten up pretty badly and I doubt people want to see that, but the phrase has been rotating in my brain for years.))

She's been waiting for this one for what feels like months, but it couldn't have been more than a couple weeks. First the Student had heard a rumbling from the usual meatheads who hung around the parking garage that a local drug lord was planning something serious. She'd been feigning being asleep at the time, but the words had perked her right up - enough that she'd gone over to ask about it herself.
She'd "asked" convincingly enough that she'd gotten a location and a night in return for preserving most of the bald-headed hoodlum's fingers, and since then the Student had been... something approaching excited. Late nights had gone later not because she was wrapped up in research but because she just couldn't wait. Actual organized crime... something like an apertif for what she really needs to do.
Of course, none of this shows on her face as she looks to the door swinging open. She's done it every time, but now things are about to get interesting. The man entering matches the description of the man who was going to be going through with the deal... now she just has to wait for him to talk to his contact and she'll have a better idea of who she's going to be tangling with tonight.
It doesn't occur to her, somehow, that a watcher can also be watched.

Starter for @dontunderestimatemypoison nyx and eris both waited for one of their dads to come out. Trying their best to be on their best behavior and not make a mess. They were both unique because they were created by combining both m bison’s and f.a.n.g’s dna. Making them their own children which they both loved dearly. Eris fixed her dress as nyx fidgeted a bit by fooling around with his jacket. Finally f.a.n.g come out of the room and looked at them. The both of them prepared for what he was going to say.
