I've been wanting to give Rand and Jamie kids for a second but I was still unsure if I should. Anyway I'm glad I did it because they are just the cuestest little blue beans ever!!

And after thinking about it further Rand would actually be a pretty decent father. I mean I look at the type of relationship he has with Lottie and I'm like "why COULDNT he have this kind of relationship with a kid of his own?"

And I even had the same thought process when thinking about Jamie. I can imagine she would be timid about having a child without her mom present but she uses that aspect to spend as much time with her boys as possible ❤️

I don't think I have any strong opinion on them? I'm not opposed to this ship by any means, and since eleteo shippers were the majority of the fandom for a long time, I often consumed the content made by them, but at the same time it just never really appealed to me. I can definitely see the arguments for it, objectively, and they did get a lot of ship tease (though that might also be just the fandom's influence) but it never really captured me, you know?

It might also be just because I'm kinda lukewarm towards Mateo in general so I suppose I didn't really see him as potential ship for Elena, whom I really like XD

So, yeah, I suppose this is my opinion. It neither warms me nor cools me, as we say in my language.

Ok having now watched lone star as well the difference is becoming so obvious... like 9 1 1 is such an ensemble show, but LS is just like... random people who work together? Like the latest episode, there was no Paul, Marjan, Mateo, Nancy or Tommy, and like 30 seconds of TK and Carlos.... like the only characters they treat as actual characters are the Strands, the Ryders and Tommy. Barely even Carlos, he's just there to further the TK plots and I'm like ok you put together a progressive and diverse cast and just fucking... ignore half of them 95% of the time... the 118 is a family that was built, and has been taken apart and built again over and over but the 126 is just side characters and the Strand pain show. When he's not actively spiralling TK is just there for comedic relief apparently? And I loved him at start but hes so one dimensional now it's hard to watch, like I can imagine what the 118 get up to on days off but the 126?? No idea. Like what's up with Paul's heart?? Is that just all good now?? Are nancy and Mateo getting coffee? Hows uncle Julian going? I literally know more about Lucy Donatos backstory than I do Marjans, and we met her 5 episodes ago. Anyway lone star loves to throw around the word family but they have no idea what it really means

I'm starting the third book of the year

it looks like I like to suffer because I started the year with the seven husbands of evelyn hugo and now I'm reading they both die at the end

the worst part is that I'm reading in public because of my commute and every 10 minutes I have to stop and breathe or I will cry in public

i feel like Mateo had potential to be a foil to Strauss (early seasons Strauss at least) seeing as he has spoken fondly towards the BAU and has no ill feelings towards them and then he just stopped showing up

Honestly the struggle of them casting such a great actor like EM is I am pretty sure there were scheduling conflicts which is why he didn't come back

Because even EM was fond of the cast - he posted a lot about them way back when on his socials

Also it might be JUST me but I would have liked them to maybe develop his relationship with JJ more because in 9.23 its like they haven't seen each other since the events of 200 and I feel like with the shit they were working in for the State Department AND the fact that they were tortured together and he was trying his best to protect her AND his (unofficial) love admission at the end of 200 there should have been more there

I don't ship JJ and Mat but I am fully convinced that he is head over heels in love with her

And I am convinved the only reason that Spencer got to stop by the bullpen before his prison transfer in S12 is because JJ asked Mat and she is his Achilles' heel

But his final appearance in the franchise was in BB 2.07 when he chewed Jack Garrett out

And then we never see him again but he is mentioned in Spencer and then NEVER again
