My first DMX2 came. The other one is still in transit.

Really wanted to wait for the Red and Purples to get an official restock, because I really didn't like the colors on the alt versions at all. So I decided to swap my DMC ver 1 and my DMX2.

I don't know why orange doesn't show up good on my camera, but those buttons and that frame are not yellow, they're orange, and they look pretty good on md DMC ver 1 in person,

The DMX buttons and frame snapped right onto the DMC. But I had to melt a little bit of plastic in order to make the frame fit onto the DMX. It wasn't very difficult and you can't tell unless you look really closely... I do wish Bandai USA would stop putting fucking GLUE on the screws of the english devices.

Keemon and Yarmon were unfortunately left out of Impmon’s 16x16 v-pet debut on the Pendulum 20th but fortunately just a year later they made their first appearance on both versions of the DMX2.

in terms of the vpets...got a sakuyamon on the vb. i was gonna do stuff with my wizardmon today but i had a migraine after work so that kind of died. ended up switching him back into the freezer to make sure i’m not wasting hours that i could be spending getting trophies or doing battles with him for evolution purposes. lynxmon continues to sit in the phone app with wezengammamon. i’ll probably switch out whatever the wizardmon turns into for one of them when he evolves...

on the dm20 i’ve got an agumon and a gabumon after resetting my progress. decided i might as well after replacing the battery since the thing had been dead for well over a year at that point. it’s still an amusing little device.

waiting on dmx1s right now, black and white. was able to get them both for around 26 dollars. but i’m waiting on shipping now. i am excited about these ones because i’ve wanted to try a dmx for a bit now but when i had learned about the line the first time they were already pretty pricey. thankfully the english ver. 1′s have released and so the things are cheap for the time being. kind of sad to see that the english dmx2′s are in some sort of weird limbo still after the recall (i know little of it. simply that there was one apparently).

also kind of wishing i knew where my childhood d3 had gone. i was always slightly bitter with the thing since it wasn’t actually a vpet like i had assumed it would be as a kid. but i did genuinely like the toy and now the things are expensive as shit.

Had a chat with my buddy @avinryd this morning...

Long story short and without launching into absolutely flying off the handle with everything that I'm angry about the DM of my group completely bailed on us...

NO YOU KNOW WHAT THE GUY SUCKED. He led us a into the game blind, punished us for being awkward and not knowing each other without having a session zero, consistently misgendered my character and another player AND his character, was really ridiculously sexist and misogynistic, he ignored all of the players attempts to really engage and be involved in building the world of our characters, would get bored if we weren't fighting stuff (like BORED as in would actually pull out his guitar and just play random stupid chords while we were trying to play), got mad when we killed stuff to quickly, interrupted and constantly made side comments while we tried to RP including one time actually stopping my character and asking 'are you really having this conversation?', tried to force us to do stuff we didn't want to do, wouldn't pay us for jobs we did, fucked over multiple characters with really weird ass story choices that essentially stole our paladin's chance to take his oath and made our barbarian the daughter of a random god, consistently dead ended actions we tried to take, cheated us out of XP then whined about us not being higher levels and 100% gave us ALL the vibe that he wasn't really happy or comfortable with how diverse and LGBTQIA+ our group was shaping up to be.

So two weeks ago we started an hour late, he pretty much ignored us for most of the session and then just left after an hour of us playing. Then this week the day before we were supposed to play he was like "until further notice I can't DM and it could be a long time before I could pick this back up".

The party decided to go ahead and meet for our normal time and talk about what to do. We aired some grievances, actually had the chance to really talk to each other and in the mix of it all my genius self offered up the position of DM if they were willing to do a Wildemount campaign because thats the only world I feel I can really confidently DM in.

To my honest surprise they bit.

A few weeks earlier one of my very good friends and favorite d&d artists @alikandhoney asked me to DM his group of buddies. I'm offering their group the chance to choose their setting, one of them is also Wildemount that they can choose.

Its so scary and exciting. And after what I've been through I want to be the DM that I would want to play with and I have been trying hard to build a great and unique storyline for each campaign and build up to each of PCs individual goals and the stories they want to accomplish. And its so insane to me that that old DM blew off my group so much because every single one of them has been so creative and excited and building some of the coolest ideas and even jumping on stuff that I wanted to do myself in our old campaign and was ignored and brushed off. And in my other group they're all seasoned that their ideas and characters are so unique that its making me really strive to come up with some really amazing stuff (I hope) that will be above and beyond for them so its stuff they've never seen before.

Honestly the hardest part is I don't get to gush about my ideas to any of my friends in either group CAUSE SPOILERS.

But bless @avinryd that they're in the same boat as a brand new Wildemount DM and we get to talk to each other and share ideas and get excited together.

Cause honestly you gotta have a buddy that understands to talk to cause you'll go crazy otherwise.

Cause Bro... BRO... B R O... I really seriously am excited about the stuff that I've been making and I really hope they go over well...

Okay, now that i'm actually up and around, Happy Odaiba Day everyone. I know it's generally used to celebrate the Digimon Anime, but who give a shit, I'm gonna celebrate v-pets by doing an annual overview of my V-pet collection and what I'm currently running ( don't worry, I have anime related plans later this evening )

My V-pet collecting has slowed down this year. I have most of what matters to me. A DM20th for every version exclusive, plus a few extras with special paint jobs for Holidays, though I contemplate giving away my extras. I have one of each DMX and DMX2, and one DMX3 that I bought before I realized there were plans for english versions, if Bandai doesn't localize DMX3 this year, I may bite the bullet and get the last one I need. And I have the Digivice version complete.

I have put all of these ( sans the Holiday paintjob ones ) in this neat little 3 tier storage container. I have plans to decorate it with stickers, but I'm trying to get very specific custom made ones. Also I want to get another one, because the one I got is already nearly full, and I still haven't even put my Pendulums and DMCs in it yet which as you can see below...

I have all the Pendulum Zs, two Pendulum 20ths, and 2 DMCs, and i'm expecting version 3, 4, and 5 in the mail this Autumn,

The first of the month is generally when I swap my V-pets around. But I was doing an extended run for the last few months of my DM20 to complete my log, and didn't want to put my DMC away yet, also I'm loving my Floppy Frog too much to put it away before it dies, because they don't have battery saves. So half way through the month, I put the DM20th away, and replaced it with Silver Black Pen20, and a Tamagotchi gen 2. Floppy Frog is still going at nearly 90 days, and no battery change. Amazing.

Currently running Saint Galgomon and Ogudomon.

Also, not pictured here, I'm running my Vital Bracelet BE, and I currently have Regulusmon, but I've kept him asleep the whole time, i'm literally just using it as a watch that I set ahead by 10 minutes so I get to work on time. I think he may have Evo failed anyway. I'm not a big fan of the Vital Bracelet BE anyway. I don't like the time limit you have to power up.

That's all for now when it comes to Digimon v-pets. I've got some more V-pets coming in the mail, but they're not Digimon related. I've also been on a Tamagotchi kick, and I'd like to get a Tamagotchi Uni for my birthday in about two Weeks, but we'll see how things look financially around that time.

Although Metal Greymon X’s virus variant has only appeared on the DMX2 it’s left arm made it to TV screens in 2020 attatched to Metal Greymon: Alterous Mode with a palette change. Maybe next reboot pal.
