BALIPORTALNEWS.COM, DENPASAR - Menindaklanjuti kembalinya kunjungan wisatawan asal Tiongkok ke Bali, Wakil Gubernur Bali, Prof. Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati (Cok Ace) berharap jumlah penerbangan langsung (direct flight) dari Negeri Tirai Bambu itu ditambah. Penambahan direct flight diharapkan meliputi jumlah kota di China sebagai titik keberangkatan dan maskapai yang melayani penerbangan langsung ke Bali. Permohonan itu disampaikannya kepada Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif RI Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno melalui acara ‘The Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno’ yang berlangsung secara virtual, Selasa (24/1/2023). Wagub Cok Ace yang mengikuti acara dari Ruang Kerjanya di Kantor Wakil Gubernur Bali ingin direct flight ditambah secara bertahap. “ Kami sangat berharap direct flight dari 20 kota di China dengan 15 maskapai bisa dikembalikan sebagaimana situasi normal sebelum pandemi,” harapnya. Hal ini penting, mengingat Tiongkok adalah negara potensial pemasok wisman ke Bali. Saat itu, ujar Cok Ace, wisman China yang dilepas menunjukkan rasa haru karena tak tahu kapan bisa kembali berkunjung ke Bali. Sebaliknya, pada kedatangan perdana pasca pandemi, wisman China menunjukkan wajah sumringah ketika menginjakkan kaki di Bali. Guru Besar ISI Denpasar ini menyebut, ada beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan besarnya kecintaan warga China terhadap Bali. Dijelaskan olehnya, Bali dan China mempunyai kedekatan secara historis. Hal ini tercermin dari sejumlah peninggalan yang menjadi bukti sejarah akulturasi budaya Bali-Tiongkok sejak ribuan tahun lalu. “Karena itu, mereka sangat cinta dan sangat senang berkunjung ke Bali,” cetusnya.
