What if Diane Sanchez is alive OUTSIDE of the Rick finite curve of universes. What if there is a Diane finite curve of universes? Please just let me have a multiverse where Diane Sanchez is the smartest person alive. Or a multiverse where she is just alive in general. Maybe Rick never figured out how to leave his finite curve, maybe he has a chance to meet Diane again.

All in all, I found the season 7 finale quite upsetting in terms of the relationship Rick and Diane showed.

I got the impression that for most of the series we are watching Rick constantly grieving. Sometimes he forgets and lets himself be absorbed in the moment, and other times he relives Diane's death.

We have seen many times in the series how Rick loses himself - whether it's going to be all around drunk or in a more self-destructive way. I don't think it's until season 7, or more specifically the last few minutes of Fear No Mort, that we see him begin to work through this grief and find a new purpose after killing Rick Prime.

That's why I felt sorry for Rick.

I wanted to draw him happy with Diane before everything he had was taken from him.

That series finale might’ve single-handedly kicked me out of my Hogwarts Legacy hyperfixation and back in to being feral for Rick. This is now my OTP.
