alright
let’s talk about this!
Chapter 1: SCARLET VS PLANET HER
note: by “let’s talk about this” i mean _I am_ gonna talk about this.
there’s a fever about Scarlet by Doja Cat. 23.62 million streams in less than 3 days.
fair enough. it’s literally one of the best albums of 2023 and everybody should listen the real Doja Cat behind this versatile, heartfelt and beautiful masterpiece. SOLO FEMALE RAP.
*I think this is the way people is recognizing Doja Cat as the great FEMALE RAPPER she is (i am obsessed saying this because b!tches hated a lot on her saying she wasn’t a rapper ) + trying to forget all the _NO SENSE_ hate she was receiving from a lot of you b!tches when she shaved her hair and got some gothic tattoos*
so the point is, for whatever reason Doja is getting the success, that’s the minimum of what she deserves.
because she put from silly to typa mature bars, feelings, just thoughts, and rapped her p*ssy out. so many things. songs like “97”, “agora hills”, “skull and bones” or the love letters like “can’t wait” and “love life”…
Scarlet it’s just something else.
it’s and exquisite, iconic, valley girl, female rapper queen masterpiece.
is it… better than PLANET HER?
well, that depends on which Doja Cat you wanna listen to.
Planet Her (2021) is also a masterpiece.
songs like “been like this”, “need to know”, “alone” are just from a different era. a different Her.
i don’t think it’s better that Scarlet, because Scarlet showed us a new, happier, herself era Doja. But i am not saying Scarlet is better than Planet Her. Period. I’m a libra sorry I can’t choose :*
+ one thing about Doja is that she will always surprise us. Because she is constantly changing, being creative, appreciating different type of art and ways to express herself. She doesn’t care about what people say, i think that’s the best thing we can learn from her.
Planet Her and Scarlet are different, unique on their own way.
Is Scarlet a better “job?”
Well, that’s a whole different question.
Bye! thanks for reading.

Doja cat is one of the few artists that can make me sing the songs passionately, like I’m practically yelling the lyrics, you play Vegas, need to know, paint the town red, demons. I’m not singing the lyrics, I am SINGING the lyrics.
