awaa i didn't know how to respond to this but i saw your tags; thank you for all the reblogs of my waddle dee!! i'm always so so happy when people like her or are interested in her so i'm excited by your response!! there IS lore but it's not *that* dense, i'm still working out her character relationships and so on, and there's been a bit of a hold-up on some lore related answers because i want to do a comic for her but that obviously takes time!! but she's just a weird little kreechur counting mould spots on the wall 😂

shes such a sweetheart and her character design is just!! phenomenal!! how could I NOT like her?? I am an absolute SUCKER for pink characters, not to mention the heart-shaped mark on her face is brilliant! cant believe I haven't seen it used on more Waddle dee ocs! and the big bow and the funky cheek marks??! she's got just enough going on to clue in that there's more to her than what it first seems!

The inescapable truth is, GRRM is writing a romance between Jaime and Brienne. And I mean lovey/dovey, these two are mad hot for each other romance. They dream of each other, their journey begins when they meet, their story is filled with chivalrous romance tropes, and they also have romantic/sexual feelings for each other. Some fans just really don't want to admit that. Brienne isn't a real person whose trauma GRRM is brushing over, she's a character in a love story.

The pinned post on my Tumblr blog addresses this best: there are people who don't want to believe Jaime and Brienne are a love story for a variety of reasons, in spite of George all but drawing a picture of the two of them staring at each other in the White Sword Tower with little hearts above their heads. Honestly, he could marry them off at the start of Winds and give them the most romantic sex scene in the series, and people would still be saying, "Nope. Not a love story."

Is it going to end happily? Sadly, I don't think so. But to say it's not a love story is ludicrous, and shows a complete lack of reading comprehension on their parts. As I've often had to repeat over on Reddit, there's a tweet that sums it up better than I ever could: "GRRM has a character for whom love has been a cruel joke and one that takes love very seriously and pointed them at each other. If you don't understand how that'll play out, I can't help you."
