minecraft mods are plural. examples 

-alex's mobs (adds weird creatures that make unknown noises which scare me [metephor for realizing ur a system]; racoons and seagulls steal your food [not unlike headmates]; the fly that killed elquackity is from this mod; the void worm is there)

-any origin mod (non-human swag; whatever the hell new life smp has going on)

-create mod (the definition of system is "a set of things working together as parts of a mechanism or an interconnecting network", hence the mod is LITERALLY about making systems)

-ferdinand's flowers (flower symbolism is inherently plural to me)

-decocraft (interior design is also inherently plural. to me)

-the corners (locations that are alive are an inherently plural concept as well. the idea of a human craft like architecture symbolizing and creating sentience, a house that haunts itself, a place that is both simple and infinitely complex...that's plural af baby)

-alex's caves (radiation poisoning)

-any itsjim mod (we have an introject of that guy; also radiation poisoning again)

I've been following this blog for a little while now, and I just want to say I really love the builds! (And also would like to ask maybe just a *few* questions.)

Aside from Cocracot and Miniatura (hope I spelled those right), do you normally use/like to use anything else? Carpenters Blocks? Decocraft?

And also, what texture pack(s?) do you use?

oh no worries! this is a very nice message :) at the moment i've just been using cocricot and miniaturia, and then some QOL mods like lot tweaks and worldedit. in the past i've also used decocraft and sometimes customnpcs just for aesthetics.

i dont love how decocraft meshes with the aesthetics of the other two so i havent been using it lately. i also looove create but that scratches a different itch i would say. more problem solving than aesthetic building.

i use the cocricot and miniaturia texture packs when im using those mods, and when i'm not ill use mizunos :)

Tried to get better at making Minecraft (1.12.2) buildings. The mods I have installed are Macaw's furniture sets (including windows, trapdoors, etc.) and the Decocraft mod.

Hi friends, at the moment, this whole list (besides Mizuno16craft to the best of my knowledge) is Java only but I will be adding more Bedrock stuff in the future! Also, adding the links as I have the time/energy to do so!

These mods also have "dependencies" needed to work, so you will also need to install PTRLib & Just Enough IDs to get these mods to work. If you have a low spec computer, I would recommend choosing between Cocricot and Decocraft, and skipping Flat Colored Blocks. Also, IMO don't add Flat Colored Blocks to your world if you aren't using Chisels, it is absolutely not a necessity at all.

Must Haves

Sodium- Rendering engine and Optimizing (250% to 500% boost in FPS)

Iris Shaders- Open-source shaders mod that allows you to toggle your shaders with a single keypress. Super quick to update when new versions come out.

WI Zoom- Adds a Zoom key that allows you to use your mouse wheel to zoom in and out. Similar to the OK Zoomer mod which is no longer usable on Fabric as per 1.19. (Works with Optifine or Sodium)

Cull Leaves- adds "smart" leaves to Minecraft without Optifine (performance boosting!)

Lazy DFU- fixes an overengineered but mostly unused feature of Minecraft to have less wasted resources (saves at least 9 seconds when converting worlds to newer versions)

Mod Menu- adds an in-game menu allowing config editing in game

Optifine Parity

LambDynamicLights- Adds dynamic lighting to Minecraft

Capes-  adds the ability to use capes from Optifine, LabyMod, and the MinecraftCapes Mod

CIT Resewn- Reimplements MCPatcher's Custom Item Textures, exactly the same as Optifine's CIT as it was adapted from the same source

Continuity- adds connected textures to Minecraft, supports Optifine's texture formats

Animatica- Reimplements MCPatcher's Animated Texture format, works perfectly with optifine's textures.

Transparent- Allows resource packs to have transparent entities.
