Bad Agere Tumblr Etiquette

Hi frens. As i’ve been on tumblr recently i’ve started noticing a lot of things that, in my opinion, are bad tumblr etiquette if you will. Some of these things used to happen a lot, but died down and are now starting again. And some others are totally new to me.

But i kind of want to put them all together in one post so everyone is able to know what i really don’t think is okay on here and can unfollow, or possibly make themselves known to me(if someone gets pissy) so i can unfollow.

so let’s go!

Putting your own personal DNI banner on someone else’s original content. Your DNI usually will not completely match another blog’s DNI. You should by no means get to decide who interacts with someone else’s original content by putting your own banner on it.

Tagging all your reblogs, especially posts not from specifically age regression blogs with endless agere tags. This might be just me, but if you take a post from a personal blog(or really any blog that isn’t agere based) especially someone’s personal art or other personal photos and tag them out the wazoo with agere tags that might make OP uncomfortable or go against their wishes. Obviously if they don’t have a DNI specifying you, go ahead and rb. But to me, just reblogging and reblogging along with adding a ton of agere tags to the post are two different things.

Reblogging posts that say “DNI: CGL(RE) etc.�� if you actually are cglre or cglre safe or use cglre tags.

I’ve heard two different reasons for people doing this. But i think both are total crap. The first one, is that non-community regressors will reblog and then defend themselves by saying, “but i’m not cglre, i’m noncom”. If you are cglre safe, reblog from cglre sources and use cglre tags for your posts to get more reach, you are the same as a cglre blog in the eyes of people who don’t want cglre interaction. Those people don’t want cglre interaction on their posts, so if you, a noncom regressor, reblogs the post onto your blog that is cglre safe it will most likely make its way to a cglre blog which is what the DNI was put in place to prevent.

The second, which is even worse than the first, are those who say. “I’m in cglre, NOT cgl(re) so the banner doesn’t apply to me”. WRONG! Cgl(re) IS NOT a community. It’s just the way that people who don’t want cglre interaction write it. I know it’s wrong. I know they shouldn’t write it like that because it spreads false information, but they do. And just because you don’t like that they write it that way doesn’t mean you get to ignore their DNI.

The last one isn’t agere exclusive and isn’t a huge deal but its pretty lame so why not add it. If you reblog an ask/question meme post thingy, you should ask a question or two to the person you reblogged from! It’s not that hard to go put a word or number or emoji or whatever that post is using in the ask box of the person you reblogged from. I do it! And if someone asks me a question i always try to see if they reblogged the post too and i’ll ask them a question in return. It’s simple, and that way everyone gets to have some fun, ya?

ADDITIONS

Ive seen a huge rise in this. And i think it’s due to agere blogs beginning to make stim and mood boards bc a lot of stim blogs don’t want our interaction(especially cglre). But making a stim or mood board WITHOUT putting any credits is not okay. I think this is especially important for stimboards but really moodboards too, bc either way you’re getting notes off of someone else’s work. Making the perfect gifs from countless stim videos is not easy. Photography is not easy. Unless you’re using all photos/gifs that are made by YOU, there should be credits along with your boards.

This is a request blog for FFXIV stuff! Whether you're here for kin reasons, rp reasons, you're seeking ship content etc... you can request here!

I can make:

1. Moodboards

2. Icons

3. Stimboards

4. Headers

In terms of what *kind* of requests I allow:

1. OC content

2. Canon characters (im only on heavensward though so make sure to be specific about what you want for post-HW characters! like make sure to include what themes you're after for moodboards etc bc I don't wanna read their wiki pages!)

3. Ships between adult characters (Canon or not, also 2 OCs are ok!)

4. Headcanons eg Trans Cid or Lesbian Ysholta

5. Pride stuff for ☆no good reason☆ like not even a headcanon but stuff like "I'm trans so I want a Trans Lesbian Tataru icon" is fine!!

6. Serious or fun stuff, as long as its sfw i don't care how silly the content is :3

if its not listed here then send me an ask anyway, worst case I'll decline the request if I can't do it!

Ask rules:

-Send a reference for OCs, i won't be like. Stalking your blogs or anything so you can either submit or dm or tag me i am Unfettered, just make sure to tell me what request its for sksk

-provide some general theme stuff like idk "WoL red mage, reference in DMs, Themes of sadness/melancholy/wanting to be better and woodland vibes/the sylphs." (Idk i am not your WoL, you can give as much or as little info as you feel like, I'm happy to hear about your OCs/kins!)

-this blog is not first come first served its "whichever ones spark inspiration in my neurodivergent brain first" though ill do all the requests! Feel free to check in if I've still got your request though, because tumblr eats things on occasion.

-im happy to do all of the standard LGBTQIA identities, if you have a mogai label or etc you can still ask! I'll find out what it is and decide based on that bc like. Idk what everything is so I don't think a blanket rule applies here. I don't have a stance on discourses like mspec lesbians bc I literally am a trans guy I have no stance on wlw issues? Ill do requests for all non-exclusionist and non-predatory/fetishizing identities but my making content isn't me saying "hey I agree w this specific bit of discourse" im just making requests for someone else.

DNI/BYF:

-no TERFS/transphobes (im literally trans)

-if you're an adult who is attracted to minors or engages with adult x minor content go away

-idk what to put here like please use common sense and don't interact with blogs you wouldn't show to the cashiers at the local Tesco?

-will expand dni if there's an Issue anywhere?
