pure vanilla is helping cacao pick flowers for an upcoming event in a day. Cacao doesn’t exactly know much about flowers so vanilla took him and is recommending roses.

Also new leaks for Kingdom here including a leaked costume (I’ll put them under the cut since we got people looking at the Ovenbreak reveal trailer)
First we got two new elements, Electricity and Nature I assume
So that green color on the new Special Cookie pavilion is probably Nature, though I’m pretty sure the yellow one is still Light
And also a new Stardust costume (another one already? I mean I’m not mad it’s just a bit surprising) along with some theming
Snowy steampunk is…interesting, and I don’t really know what that means. I mean usually steampunk is more associated with the TBD, but it’s the snowy part that makes me hesitate to say that’s what it is. Eh, as long as we get Dark Cacao Kingdom stuff (which we probably won’t but let me dream)
But it also sounds like an additional winter themed update, which is good. The Icicle Yeti one only goes till the middle of December, which seemed a bit odd to me, and also there’s no holiday theming in it other than it being cold, which is also odd. Maybe we’ll get it here (please I need another chance to see Dark Choco)

Several companies that produce dark chocolate have high levels of lead and cadmium, confirmed by an independent consumer report published December 15, 2022. Trader Joe's is especially dangerous. The report uses the maximum levels allowed by California law because there is no federal limit.
There are multiple reasons for the heavy metals contained in these chocolates. Lead is naturally in cacao and must be removed when it is processed. For the companies listed, additional lead seems to accumulate on the shell of the beans from sources unknown between when they are picked and processed. Cadmium builds up in cacao trees the longer they live. These trees must be regularly cut down and replanted to avoid reaching toxic levels.
I am adding screenshots of the chocolate confirmed dangerous, and the chocolate confirmed safe.

February 2 (Friday) - 2024
My daily routine has been very similar for quite some time now. I wake up (probably because of my cat Mocka), I give her food, I make some hot chocolate, which is actually just almond milk, cacao powder and stevia. Then I do some chores, I do my gaming dailies and I play some with Mocka before I start working on my long-term goals.
And recently my long-term goal has been to get everything done that I want to get done in the old Pokémon games before the connection between the 3DS and Switch gets severed. Nintendo/Game Freak hasn't announced an official date for it, as of right now, they have only vaguely hinted that it might happen one day.
Which means I've been playing a lot of retro Pokémon since late December 2023. I played through Virtual Console Crystal and successfully hunted for a shiny Celebi. I've made sure that I've caught and purified all shadow Pokémon in Pokémon Colossuem and XD Gale of Darkness, and I also want to get the Mt Battle ribbons on my favorites, because I doubt we'll ever get access to these games ever again. I've also played through Ultra Moon again with the goal to shiny hunt the legendaries I still don't have in my collection.
This has become a whooole project... I don't know how long this is going to take but I really want to be done with it asap.

Prompt: Betrayal
(still Somni’s art, not mine! i could never lol)
And here’s the explanation for today’s art: betrayal
An excuse to imply a rarepair.
Cacao has been left standing alone at a large ball. He was expecting someone to be there…all that time with his friends getting ready was not for nothing. The petals from his carnation headpiece are falling to the floor, and his eyes are red from stifling crying over being left alone and betrayed at a time he opened himself up to someone.
(Symbolism under the cut!)
Carnation headpiece- old (I think ancient Korean) belief or activity where they’d place 3 carnations on someone’s head and whichever flower wilted first would be the stage in life they went through the most hardships (I saw this while looking up flower symbolism but i can’t find it anymore)
White roses- loss.
Red carnations: deep love
