Back in March I was thinking about the events of episodes 36-37 of Tropical Rouge, and how I assumed before it aired that Butler would use the marine ring as a weapon. In the end he didn’t and instead put it in a safe, which is arguably the most sensible and smart choice in his calculated plan, very on brand for him to do that and I liked it!

However it’s fun to think about the alternative scenario in which he brings the ring with him and somehow activates it by sheer motivation(tm), creating a sort of fake heart rouge rod with his cane and a sort of Excellent Tropical Style but not quite it. It was mostly an excuse to mix together his knight outfit and the elements I like from his Yaraneda form XD

In this scenario, Oasis would show up only after a bit during the fight to help the girls get the ring back, so it wouldn’t feel as deus ex machina as it did in canon. For added drama, the girls would say something like “The Legendary Precure told us to save the Witch” and he would retort bitterly “Oh she thinks she knows better? The Witch is like this because of her” but as per usual he would get interrupted in order to not reveal too much too soon. With Oasis’ help the girls get the ring back and the rest of the episode plays the same.
