Road- Lane 8

Its 1:24 am and I am wide awake. I got cancelled from my per diem shift today. Such big changes are coming to my life, career change, bigger things, futuristic ideas and goals.

If you told me where I would be today, I wouldn't have an idea that this is exactly where I will be. The future seems bleak, with all the thoughts that occur my mind.

The way I view life, the way I view my being is so different now. I think it is truly leaning into my late 20s, adulthood, stability and more. I am really starting to root myself profesionally, financially and socially.

This week I went to CRSSD and this song ROAD by lane 8 has been stucked on my head.

I’ve been staring at a road

I think for the longest time I feel this huge sense of heaviness that while I have been the one driving and staring at the road in my life, I cant help but think that this idea that I keep staring at the road that life just keeps flashing before me. This heaviness of having comfort vs going another path has been dwelling on me.

If there is one thing I learned recently about myself that I am not stucked in a box, I am not defined by my career, my roles, my location. The world is a vast amount of space that can offer multitude opportunities.

I am not really sure where I am going but this song has strucked such a big hurl in my heart. At the end of the song it mentions I keep getting closer.

Continua a crescere nell'autunno 2023 il successo internazionale della nuova versione house di "Mas Que Nada" realizzata dal top dj italiano Samuele Sartini (nella foto) insieme ad Oki Doro. Pubblicata dalla label italiana UMM, ha già raggiunto le prime posizioni delle chart in diversi paesi, compreso il Brasile di scritto da Jorge Ben Jor e Sergio Mendez, l'autore e primo interprete di questo brano senza tempo uscito originariamente nel 1966. La voce della nuova versione è quella potente e intensa di Romina Johnson.

Qualche giorno fa l'inglese James Hype, uno dei dj importanti al mondo per per quel che riguarda la scena house internazionale, ha proposto la canzone durante un suo dj set all'Hï Ibiza, uno dei pochi club al mondo a fare sempre la differenza. Non solo, Hype, ha anche realizzato un video in cui suona il brano. E che succede proprio in queste ore? Anche l'australiano Fisher, altro nome di riferimento nello scenario della house internazionale, ha fatto ballare al ritmo di "Mas Que Nada" durante un suo dj set in California. Ha proposto la canzone al pubblico del CRSSD, festival che si svolge ogni anno in autunno ed in primavera a San Diego.

"Sono risultati importantissimi per la nostra versione di 'Mas Que Nada', che continua a far ballare anche adesso che l'estate è finita", racconta Samuele Sartini. "Fa davvero piacere, perché è un brano che regala energia a tutti coloro che lo ascoltano e lo ballano, in ogni parte del mondo".

Il mondo Media Records / UMM è in ebollizione per cui chi ama la musica dance può aspettarsi bella novità, in ambito discografico e non solo. UMM è una delle più storiche label italiane. UMM sta per Underground Music Movement. Fondata originariamente a Napoli da Flying Records nel 1991, è stata una delle prime label italiane a pubblicare musica house e progressive.
