Covid 19 wasn't enough

 Covid 19 wasn't enough so besides the train derailments contaminating water, factories burning down they now invented a fungal that is not curable by antibiotics or any kind of medication. 

The fungal is called Candida auris or C. Auris. They are saying it is a yeast type of fungus that is spreading through health care facilities.

 Apparently it was only in 3 states back in 2016 but has spread to 20-27 states in 2022 but now is in 30 states.

 Why are they just now sharing this? Why are they just now talking about it now that the Covid has died down and no longer causing a panic?

This is probably to lead to another panic and pandemic as if the train derailments, the factories burning down and everything else going on in the world is not enough.

"Did Bakura ever find out who murdered Pegasus" Almost certainly not, imo. The only witness was Yami Bakura who has no reason to tell him. They all got replica millennium eyes during dinner which YB switched the real one with, so finding it in his pocket later wouldn't have been suspicious, and in fact he would expect one to be there. Likewise no one would tie the stolen eye to the murder or even mention it in reports, because by all appearances it was never stolen. The only thing that could tip Bakura off was the timing, which isn't a lot--there was so much crazy intrigue and magic going around on that deserted island, and YB had been on such deliberate good behavior since Monster World, that if we didn't all have the pre-existing knowledge of what YB's aims are then we'd never think he had a motive to kill the guy who's been kidnapping and murdering everyone else's loved ones all weekend. Yami Bakura is the last person we would suspect might kill Pegasus on an island full of people who loathe Pegasus.

It is certainly possible that the conspicuous blackout period made Bakura suspicious, but he'd been having voluntary conspicuous blackouts all weekend, and Bakura is...pretty good at ignoring and rationalizing away the fact that the ring is obviously dangerous. If he thought of it I don't think he did so for very long, seeing as there's zero evidence. I really do think Yami Bakura just got away with murder here.

Honestly I loved Branch and Keith's little relationship in TBGO I Hope if we get a Third show he comes back even just for an odd episode here and there.

their relationship was just very cute to me he was almost like Branch's little bro but years before he canonically had Brothers lol.

plus the idea of a normal kid choosing to spend this much time hanging out with the village's local crazy paranoid conspiracy theorist was always very sweet to me.

thinking about Keith returning to Earth for the first time in the AU where he's human but raised by the Blade anyways is so funny to me, because like... there's a missing persons report for him and everything. They probably found Heath's body some years after Krolia left, but there was no sign of his three year old son, so it's just been one of those cold cases for years. Then all of a sudden, here's someone who is calling himself Keith Kogane, who has apparently been living in deep space this entire time.

It's wild. It's catnip for conspiracy theorists and true crime people alike. People keep wanting to ask Keith dozens of questions, which he of course, has no interest in answering. He's really good at making himself scarce. Naturally, he doesn't even have any social media they can bother him or or even a phone that they could possibly get the number of.

I have been keeping up with this David Keith Quigley (the name the deep state Mafia gave him) and it dawned on me who he lööks like? So I put these together. They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I have not seen a video of Quigley without a hat on. When listening to him speak I will say, I believe he wears dentures. Is he legit? I don't know yet, he does have a lot of knowledge about the Kennedy family (but he could have been taught/programmed). He sure did throw in a plot twist though.

lance - sorry to teenagers in fanon in 2016 but I don’t think lance would listen to the pop hits of the 2010s. I think lance is too hip for that. He is not listening to pop from 100~ years ago. (Or more, nobody can agree on when the show takes place & I think that’s beautiful). lance is listening to the billboard top 100. He’s listening to what people are talking about . I imagine their pop music as very synthetic, almost edm, with loud vocals over top of it. Less bass than we have in our pop music, more tenor. he’s into particular celebrities and while he likes their music, and he says it’s about the music, he’s more into the celebrities really than the music. he’s into his eras version of, like, Britney Spears. Because they’ve gotta have an edge to them. Some controversy. if they’re too squeaky clean he gets bored

hunk - whatever the sci fi future equivalent of melancholy, heavily vocal guitar indie music. the kind of music that’s more poetry than it is really music. Stuff made by underground artists. it’s all emotional, ranging from sappy to comforting to sad. he likes love songs about pining but they make him really emotional . He also likes pop music generally, soft hip hop and r&b. also atmospheric music. He strikes me as the type of nerd to listen to a lot of video game osts because of the sweeping orchestral vibes, but for some reason refuses to just listen to actual classical music. Feels too pretentious but then he just listens to orchestras perform the video game osts anyway so lol

pidge - god’s most annoying electronica. I think 100 years of sci fi future is going to make hyperpop one of the whackiest music genres and pidge is right there with it. She wants pitchy, bit-crushed squealing. she wants electronic shrieking. she wants voices autotuned to the point of nigh unrecognizability. I think she also listens to more normal electronica, which I think is more mainstream in their era. Stuff we would associate with weird youtube electronica is a whole cast genre. She’s really into it. She knows all the bands, all the subgenres, all the specific sounds of each one. Matt finds this so fucking annoying because she plays it out loud and he h a t e s it. After she joins team voltron lance gets to take over matts place here

keith - forgive me for this, but I do think keith listens to what WE would call numetal. But it’s like. Classic metal, to him. Og metal. Like I think he literally listens to linkin park. I’m saying that keith kogane listens to 100 year old music. He heard it all from his crazy ass paranoid conspiracy theorist father, who only uses analogue tech because he’s terrified of the garrison finding out about his fuzzy purple alien long distance wife and his alien hybrid child. so he plays like, breaking Benjamin cds on an old boombox. So I have really detailed thoughts on what constitutes “music” and how that may be defined for alien cultures in sci fi. I’ve thought about this extensively since I was 14 and the conclusion I’ve come to is that altean music is the most industrial, heavy, absolutely dark fast paced noisemusic ever conceived. Metal grinding against metal. Plates shrieking against each other. Dull thumping on thick glass. String instruments that squeak and squeal. sudden starts and stops. Heavy drums you can feel in your teeth. clanking. whistling. wheezing. All the kinds of noises you hear in altean music. coran prefers more “classical” altean music, which entails more drums and strings (of the shrieking variety). allura prefers the “modern” (of her youth) altean music, their equivalent to pop, which is more industrial & metal grindy.

She excitedly shows the humans some altean music only to find them absolutely repulsed. Just, like, they’re trying to be nice. But when I say industrial I mean like, a collection of noises that we wouldn’t even categorize as music. so they can’t help the just inherent misunderstanding. except keith, he fucking LOVES it. He goes WILD for it. Allura convinces him to actually dance to it and they just flail around wildly.

he tries to show allura the music that he likes but sadly divorced dad rock doesn’t do much for her. But through their & pidge’s combined efforts into the forays of Abrasive Human Music they discover that allura also really likes death metal

I bought slaughterhouse five & the sirens of Titan for my conspiracy theorist coworker Keith because I think he would get great meaning from them and I'll be leaving the job by late March at the very latest so I want him to have something to keep me in mind with. Hopefully when I move home again I might pick that job up again and continue to work with him. Or at least I hope we continue to send each other conspiracy/esoteric youtube videos

Btw I’m a firm believer that Keith and Pidge were kinda friends before Voltron, they talked about aliens and cryptids and conspiracies and shit. So they actually get along very well, they spend a lot of time in the training room, Pidge working on computer stuff while Keith trains in silence.

Is the Earth Round Or Flat?

 Is the earth really round or flat or was this something that they told us to divide us? This makes no sense. 

They could be showing us videos and photos that they are showing us because they do not want us to know but we will never know.

 Everyone has their own opinions and ideas on things especially the things we were taught and told.

If  you actually look at the things around you it is flat besides a couple of hills so it is completely understandable why everyone has different opinions about the earth. 

In my opinion, I think it is neither round or flat while some are even saying were in a dome. I think it is just a simulation of thinking, something else to fight and argue and divide people more and more. 

In school they use to say the earth it moving, that the cars are moving by friction by the earth but in actuality, I don't believe that either. I say this because if it was moving wouldn't you feel the movement or even see it? 

They are saying the earth is moving backwards in which you can tell with all the conflict and the wars and the laws and the government things you are seeing along with the control they are trying to do and are doing.

They Live (1988)

If They Live was a little more serious, a little bit goofier, or more focused on action, it wouldn’t work at all. As is, the movie hits the perfect note to become thought-provoking without ever feeling pretentious or even all that serious thanks to iconic dialogue, memorable visuals, one of the weirdest fights ever shot and its creature design.

When an unnamed drifter (Roddy Piper) overhears a street preacher (Raymond St. Jacques) talking about how “they” have infiltrated our society and are secretly pulling all the strings, he thinks nothing of it. Then, he comes across a pair of strange sunglasses that allow him to see the hidden truth behind our world.

The premise is ridiculous and They Live knows it. The shades the drifter finds reveal subliminal messages all over the place. Billboards, TV screens and even wooden signs all instruct us to spend money, breed, accept the status quo and avoid questioning the world around us. It’s a conspiracy theorist’s dream and for a while, you’re amused by what you see. The creatures living among us are hiding what they’re doing but their messages are so on-the-nose you laugh. Then, you get a good look at them and suddenly, things don’t seem so funny anymore. In fact, it’s downright creepy.

Several times, you'll go back and forth between laughing, shivering from discomfort and cheering out loud as our muscular hero kinda-sorta decides it’s up to him to reveal to the world what’s happening. He may just be able to pull it off - this movie is nutty enough. If he does, you won’t hold it against the picture. At no point is this trying to be realistic or plausible, which is why it’s so much fun. Every time the drifter tries to explain to someone what’s going on, he bungles it so badly that you'll laugh. The funniest scene has to be the one where he tries to convince his co-worker Frank (Keith David) to take just a quick look through the glasses. The scene goes on for so long you'll lose it. “Where is this going?” “I don’t know but I’m having a blast trying to figure it out!”

We've seen elements of They Live elsewhere. Invasion of the Boy Snatchers is a great example. Rather than feel derivative, however, the film feels wholly fresh and unique. Largely, it's due to John Carpenter’s cinematic quirks. The film has its cake and eats it too by simultaneously enlightening, horrifying and sending the audience into hysterics. (On DVD, January 24, 2020)

okay i think i maybe, maybe recognise this fic a little, but if i read it, it was way before i started bookmarking and organising fics :( BUT i can show you how i find fics i barely remember on ao3!!

first step: choose your tag. for this example, i'm going to choose the tag Keith/Lance (Voltron), and it's currently got 33123 works, with 1657 pages of works. under the tag, you'll notice a few buttons: 'works' (which is pressed), 'bookmarks', 'filters', 'unfavourite tag', and under those buttons is one more 'RSS feed'. press the 'filters' button.

step two: on the left side of your screen, a grey strip will pop up, with a 'sort and filter' button on the top. under that we see an option to 'sort by: date updated'. i usually leave it like this, i find it easier to navigate. next you'll see an option to 'include: ratings, warnings, categories, fandoms, characters, relationships, additional tags' and then a search bar for 'other tags to include. under the 'include' option is an option to 'exclude' with the same list. we're going to focus on the 'exclude' list, because it's easier to exclude tags you know aren't in the fic rather than include tags that might be.

step three: you can leave the 'ratings' tab alone, that's really hard to guess. open the 'warnings' tab, though: you'll see a list of these options: 'no archive warnings apply', 'creator chose not to use archive warnings', graphic descriptions of violence', 'major character death', 'rape/non-con', 'underage'. i've gone ahead and pressed the 'x' button for major character death, rape/non-con, and underage because the fic you're describing does not sound like it includes those things.

step four: i'm not going to include a photo for this step, but the next thing you should do is look through each of the categories and cross off tags you know aren't in the fic. you might be able to filter out certain characters (for example in your case you can probably filter out lotor, krolia, romelle, and any of the later characters because it sounds like a small modern au), certain relationships, et cetera et cetera. you may also want to include tags that you remember.

step five: after you choose the general tags you want to filter out/in, scroll to the bottom and you'll find a tab called 'more options'. it includes 'crossovers' which in this case i'd choose to exclude, 'completion status' which in this case i would choose complete works only, 'word count' and 'date updated -- neither of which i usually touch --, 'search within results' which is a very hit or miss filter that i often don't use either, and finally 'language', which i've set to english because i very rarely read fics that aren't in english. under these categories you'll see another 'sort and filter' button, and if you're ready to filter, hit it!

step six: now you'll see a reduced number of works under your tag (here the Keith/Lance (Voltron) tag has gone from 33123 works and 1657 pages to 19779 fics and 989 pages). in this case you've filtered out about a third of the works under the tag, which isn't great but isn't horrible, either. if you open the 'filter' option again, and scroll through the tabs, you'll notice that there are now more tabs available to include/exclude -- feel free to keep repeating this process until there are a manageable amount of fics to scroll through.

step seven: hopefully, by now, you've found your fic! if not, it's worth filtering through people's bookmarks (same process, only make sure you've selected the 'bookmarks' button rather than the 'works' button under the tag) because sometimes bookmarkers do a more thorough job tagging than writers lol. good luck!
