The boy he found on Prelude Beach is... strange, putting it lightly.
It's not as if this is a bad thing! Laventon can hardly expect someone who fell from the sky to be normal. It makes more sense for them to be odd. He has the strangest birthmarks around his eyes- like someone smeared red there, stark against his silver hair. He never seems to smile, and he has an eerie habit of never breaking eye contact when speaking with you- to the extent of never blinking.
But he has a great understanding of Pokemon! It's a shame they don't seem to like him very much though, but the Cyndaquil he gave the boy seems to absolutely adore him. He never keeps it nor the Drifloon that he brought back after his first night in the Highlands in their pokeballs, doesn't even really seem to like the devices much- but that is not so strange! No one from local Clans do either, but the boy- Ingo, his name the only thing he remembers- is not from either of the Clans.
At first he's worried about the number of ghost Pokemon that follow him around- after the Drifloon, he brings back a Gastly. He's secretly a little relieved when he brings an injured Gligar back with him that was displaced by a space time distortion, and keeps it on his team. An all ghost team would likely only make the villagers even more nervous around him than they already are. Even Rei takes awhile to warm up to him, but once he does, they become rather good friends!
Ingo, Laventon concludes, is a good hard-working boy who is just a touch odd. Perhaps everyone who comes from the sky have eyes that glow in the dark. It's surely nothing to worry about.
