I never posted my completely finished Shepard armour here! I’ll share some photos as I get them, but I’m really proud whenever I see this cosplay in motion because I fuckin made that shit and it’s comfortable to wear and it moves perfectly holy shit I actually did it so here is a video!

I almost gave up several times but l’m glad I pushed through - I’m so grateful for the response to all this hard work both at Dragon Con and from everyone who followed along with this build online. I have a highlight on my insta stories (@ mockingnerd) that shows the progress as it went, and made a bunch of videos on TT @ livelaughlongsword.

Commander Shepard N7 (ME3) Armour WIP Update: Chest & Abdomen

Did I forget to take photos or videos of the process so far? Yes, I did. Don't be like me. This has consisted of a lot of trial and error (and contact cement on my hands) but it's been fun! I still need to sand/seal and more, but it's starting to come together!

Worked with some talented Ukrainian artists on a Cerberus crew/Normandy SR-2 uniform. Always loved this uniform and so happy with the way it came out—it’s just how I imagined it would be in real life.

Not to beat my own dead horse but: get u a girl that does both (swords and guns) (in space) (with red hair)

Still processing this year’s Dragon Con a bit and will clog up your tags with more cosplay photos when I have them, but wanted to say a huge thank you for the lovely responses, both in person and my ridiculous mashup on here haha. I love these two characters so so much and while Gideon’s always fun to do, I worked my ass off on this Shepard build and I was so relieved it came together. (Even won second place in the Masquerade hallway contest!)

It was also super rad to finally make it to the meetups for both fandoms, everyone was so kind. I hope to return to them both next year!

COMMANDER SHEPARD MAKEUP TEST!

Second attempt, and I'm really happy! It'll never be perfect but this is good for me and I think it's a look for Shepard that I like. 🖤

I decided to forego full base makeup this time, opting only for concealer and some contouring to make my face less... squishy looking.

Blocking out the tail of my natural brows was definitely a good idea, as I was able to angle them upward more and achieve a look that I would like to describe as stubborn and badass.
