Hello Hist Histo Gold Historix . this is a really hard quesitons
im not very good at tips and tricks but here's what i do:
fiurst i really like pinterest here's my 2000+ pin board for art inspiration
for colors there are some things that seem right according to the Cogmented Guidelines which is just tone, atmosphere, feeling, balling, ETC...
out of the three art classes ive taken in my life all of which were in my most recent school years has been in charcoal, so a lot of what i pick is based on values too: ill turn the canvas black and white using hue blending mode, or take a picture on my phone and turn it black and white for real life things
my main goal for character pieces is to make the focus stand out but also be cohesive with the background, so ill use different values to differentiate those if colors are similar. red is much darker than yellow, even at the highest saturation, u get it. the rest is just using opposites on the color wheel
i also tend to use blending modes.. usually around 2-3 layers?
these are my base colors
kinda hard to distinguish zam in the values, yeah? and planet's shoes are far too bright, i want planets face and arms and closed fists to be their focus
i use a wide variety of the blending modes, but here both of these worked to darken the characters while increasing their saturation
the similar qualities on the characters make them cohesive with each other despite the wildly different designs and colors.. this could also just be a "style" thing that makes it cohesive but that gets more into shapes and how i draw and i dont think i could even explain that
there's also just general inspirations.. i chose a light blue background for this probably because i was subconsciously inspired by an 8 year old pmv of hawkfrost and ivypool by m0zarts using the song that is in the caption (personal by stars) AND because it's a softer color outside of planet's intense pinks and zam's yellows
this is called like triadic color palette i think i cant remember
there are always exceptions to rules and based on the atmosphere i will make the character blend in more e.g.:
for poses jii dont know i have visions in my head AND pinterest boards: 1 2
a lot of my art is expressive through poses instead of expressions because most of my designs dont have the capabilities for human expression; you're left with actions and body language (im also mad alexithymic so that's probably another reason why)
ignoring general atmosphere and art style, both are big movements but hold very different emotions ^_^ sharp and angry and desperate vs gay and carefree
the use of perspective further helps the emotions within poses, lower views make a character more intimidating, etc etc you get it for sure.
if you want to go hard on perspective, colors/lighting, and composition i highly recommend taking a film class or course or watching a video idk or something related to media-making.. drawing and film are very similar especially in regards to things like storyboarding.. the rule of thirds and camera angles that depict feeling are soo helpful to have in the back of your mind shoutout my one film and media class from 7th grade

new to lifesteal? GREAT! mapicc
HAVE YOU EVER WANTED TO WATCH A FELLA WHO KILLS AND MAIMS AND STEALS? LOOK NO FURTHER !!!
This guy runs on teeth and claws alone he will kill and kill and kill, feel bad for a second, and then do it all over again. He is an unstoppable force with intense devotion both to the killing and to his teammates but will throw it all away as long as the end justifies the means.
Mapicc streams occasionally on Twitch but also posts 1-2 times a month on his channel. His videos typically range from 7-15 minutes and as of right now his focus is on SMP content, but he has previously made 100 days and hardcore videos. As well as this. Sick awesome. His videos tend to be straightforward and have one end goal. Easy to follow and entertaining!
Originally, Mapicc was the server owner. But in season 1 it was revealed he’d been abusing admin commands and thus ownership was transferred over to Parrot. Personally I would let this slide because it was kind of funny. THIS SHOULD NOT DISSUADE YOU FROM THE MAPICC! He does have a very biting personality but it is out of LOVE AND HATE! It gives him his charm, a thief and a liar who says funny things in the chat:
This guy is everyone’s enemy in season 4 and is evil to them on purpose, apart from his teammate roshambogames. From them completely removing the end, building a giant prison and capturing 4 players, covering everything in obsidian, duping items, and then proceeding to blow the entirety of spawn up, they deserve to be banned from 51 states and maybe Ireland.

i like to ask a question why did you started to be a artists in the first place. I just curious ( p.s love your artwork)
THANKS SO MUCH and i started drawing because i was on the internet a lot as a child. things on the internet around 2013 had a lot of bright colors and movement and i wanted to make things like that too
i started out coding in html and css, making little sprites and what not, but i also looked at young animators like banithekitty, taxicab, swiftkhaos, kay2036, splashkittyartist, koolkitty100, any warrior cats animator under the sun, watching speedpaints, series like homestar runner and the noob adventures, old vhs soviet cartoons and other more full production handdrawn styles...
i started out with animation, i liked seeing things move, i began to draw static things maybe a few weeks after doing animation
(10 yr->15 yr)
i did oc and warrior cats animations mainly. i only started drawing humans/humanoids in 2019, and started drawing full pieces traditionally around 2022. big charcoal fan

This guy acts SILLY. This guy acts OBLIVIOUS. And he has done NOTHING wrong in his life.
What is destruction without a little bit of whatever the hell Spepticle is? If you have ever wanted to watch a silly goofy guy go about his funny day in scenarios he makes for himself, you’re in the right place !!
Spepticle streams fairly often on his Twitch and posts about every two months on his channel with videos ranging from around 9-15 minutes. His content is mostly centered around SMP and challenge videos. His SMP videos are lighthearted, with a focus on interactions and antics that get A LITTLE CRAZY!
Joining in season 2 along with the other applicants: ItzSubz_ and McClutch, he is not the strongest pvper out of that selection or the server (Parrot rated him E-tier because he’s Australian with bad ping). He made quite a name for himself for being oblivious and seemingly innocent, BUT he is much more than what he appears to be. By making games that won’t just kill you, being a bit of a “prankster” (scammer), and getting bullied constantly, Spepticle is a very fun guy to watch in his own videos as well as on the others streams.
For season 4, Spepticle has been busy with school and only has clips on twitch and one video up, but fear not! He tends to appear on other lifesteal streams (particularly later in the day streams for Americans). His vods can be found Here

yes my day is okay i hope yours is too hi bluejackals..... yes... the theremin instrument.. i have one single memory of it where i went to one of my estranged ex stepmoms christmas party with my estranged polyamorous criminal father when i was 9 or 10 and they were playing the south park christmas special with that stupid poop character on this tiny ass box tv and some guy brought this big box with a theremin inside and he set it up next to the tv and kept making noises like the characters talking and it was just really weird experience overall im sure it's a fine instrument

like WHAT !?!!? there is so much more of a crazy element to breaking da game than im used to, especially when used in the context of a pvp heavy turned lore (more so circumstance and event) based server like it ACTUALLY COMES INTO CONFLICT RAHH we r usually just a bunch of gamers sitting around in little test servers (i was more so an in-game code guy rather than an exploit guy, im basing all my inner technical knowledge on what my friends r thinking from the context ive shown them)
im SOOO interested in how the characters play out here, like with the tyrant groupchat and some of the key players in there (pangi, reddoons, planet, SPEPTICLE !?) and how THEY were the ones supposedly getting big power
i think planet knows a lot more about what's going on than what vitalasy thinks (i have a theory that planet's trust barrier was given by spoke, maybe it couldve been given by vitalasy to more so keep him quiet? but ive been brain rotting over a planet and spoke team up so im mad biased) and spoke is much more of a leaker than i thought! he is definitely one of the least secretive members about all dis and whatnot, but his ideals are geared towards fun fun for every1 (himself)
also vi is showing phase 2 rn this is going to be FUCKING INSANE ! im soo sosoooososososo exited omhgg kicking my legs laying on my stomach twirling my hair and drawing hearts and stars around the word exploit in glitter gel pen and giggling
this has been SUCH an interesting season im still stunned by stream viewers who say s3 was the best but maybe im a nerd whatavar whatavar ....
i am going to rant and you are going to listen to me >_( hahahahaha muahhahaha but s4 has been so new and interesting from the START. those two main groups forming at the village and the outpost and their outliers was the domino effect of extremes. im on red's side here when he said that that was the main catalyst for WHY duality duo went to the lengths they did, and how THAT, the moment subz stepped into the end to see the main island completely wiped was SUCH a crucial moment to the rest of s4 development
that was the known start. that's what, to everyone else, was the beginning of consequence
but now, there's the added factor of the plan before s4, but these extremes were needed to make a reason to use these exploits in an interesting way. yeah okay, leviathan is not a threat anymore. TO US THOUGH!!!! ONLY TO US!!! because we know everything, we know what's going on and leviathan has NO IDEA what they're in for, but what does terrain, leo, ANYONE ELSE think about them? Are they scared? probably !
but seeing this as a viewer.... a watcher haha of everything we KNOW a FRACTION of how much danger everyone is in. we dont know to WHAT EXTENT !!!!! HOLY MYSTERY !!!!! im so so so excited to see how they use this
we saw how jepex and mapic and spoke used it in jepex's latest video, but they have MORE INFORMATION SINCE THEN !!! AND INFORMATION THEY DIDNT REVEAL !!!! vitalasy is SO FUCKIGN AWESOME. SOOO COOL.
it has gotten so intertwined and complicated and layered i shouldve taken notes because im sure my memory has been warped and whatavar but WOW. RAHHHH. it's not JUST exploits. it's been zam's paranoia and terrain's frog plotline and anguish and medusa and the prison and and and no end and then no end^2 and all the teams and the betrayal and hate and the flowers and dandelions and the sun moon and stars and chaos and destruction and meaning and trust and love and care and and and
