FANFIC IDEA
Tumblr media
Idk I feel like I been going crazy over this idea ( plus my love for Cody Rhodes growing each day ) ALSO I'm not gifted enough to make this a reality so if anyone is willing to make it I would be so happy
- I was envisioning this as a plus size reader ( maybe black too but I might be pushing it 😓)
But I don't really see a lot of plus size wrestlers reader so 🤷🏾‍♀️🫣
ALSO PLEASE MAKE THIS A SERIES 🛐 begging
IF CONFUSING OR HAVE QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK I DID WRITE THIS AT 4am SOOO YEA
So imma like bullet point it so it's easier for writers to add or take away stuff but this is like the main plot idea(s) I had in mind
Cody and reader have been seen backstage getting close by triple h, getting the idea of a love storyline. So he tested it out by having reader and Cody do a promo (them flirting but like bickering kinda idk) with it getting positive reactions
Triple h asking Cody and reader their thoughts on the idea with both Cody and reader like idk but quickly agreeing to it anyways
They do a couple promos, ringside etc picking up on hints of them getting closer and closer and starting or care for each other on a deeper level ( i want to say that Cody falls in love first but reader starts to quickly after not being as revealing in it as Cody is but reader is more subtle with it )
But it all comes to a head when Rhea picks up on reader and Cody's closeness challenging her to a match ( I want to say that reader as already been butting heads with Rhea ) the match being that if Rhea won reader won't be able to interfere with anything that has to do with judgement day and Cody and his group ( Seth,Sami, jey and Randy ) and if reader does then they can't go for the women's world championship until after wrestlemania.
Reader would lose the fight. But Cody wouldn't know about the stipulation UNTIL Cody had a match with Dominic with Rhea coming out to jump Cody ( causing a DQ ) with reader watching nothing knowing what do it ( a manger would remind user of the stipulation but reader doesn't care if it meant helping Cody and protecting him from a possible injury) so reader goes out there ( maybe with a chair or something) defending Cody, checking on him calling for help.
It won't be until a week ( or more then a week up to y'all ) that Cody would find out about the stipulation when Cody and reader win a match against Rhea and Dominic. Both Cody and reader are heading up the ramp when Rhea is handed a mic as she tells Cody about the stipulation rubbing it in readers face.
Cody he walks off mad, upset, he felt like it was his fault. He wasn't strong enough so you had to go out there to save him and cost you your chance. Reader catches up with him basically telling him that it wasn't his fault and that it was their decision and he shouldn't feel that way and how they hate when he's mad at them. ( I had the idea of Rhea joking calling Cody reader's boyfriend and Cody mentions it and reader plays dumb confusing Cody )
Causing Cody to be in his head it would be until he's in the locker room with Sami, jey, Seth and Randy did they talk to him asking what's up and Cody is like "do yall think reader actually likes me???" And they're like "ofc!!!" With Randy ( who wasn't really speaking comes out of nowhere) "dude she throw away her chance for the championship for you🙄"
OKAY IM YAPPING BUT LIKE. Maybe they get Naomi and bianca involved on how to ask reader out and well the rest is up to y'all I would to see this as a series !!

Thank you! Here’s a quick preview of the AU!
They all sat around in a full circle in silence. Taking small bites out of every single snack that they could possibly divide for one another. For now it wasn’t enough, as the snacks that they only had were just small amounts of protein and not enough to actually at least fill them for the next several hours or so to speak. They were only able to get snacks just from their bags, thankfully. Most of their stuff was not destroyed during the plane crash. Only a few things were caught in the fire, but it was just a small amount of clothes.
Rhea remained in her seat right between Dominik and Damian, taking small bites from a Reese’s peanut butter cup that Sami had cut up. Admittedly, she was never a big fan of sugar, let alone peanut butter. But as long as it kept her stomach from grumbling every ten seconds, then so be it. To be fair, Becky was actually smart in suggesting to limit the amount of food and water that they consumed, just so that they could save up in case they were to be stuck in these woods for a few days until the rescue team could find them. Roman out of all people even suggested in having three or four volunteers to go out and hunt for food, such as deer meat, for example, but Seth was somehow opposed to the idea, saying that some of these forest animals could possibly carry diseases that they don’t know about. Which Roman replied with an eye roll, saying, ‘do you want to starve to death, or just remain in the hospital for a few days and get better after we get our asses rescued?’
Rhea wanted to roll her eyes at the unnecessary bickering that she had to endure hearing. She was able to thankfully cut it off and admit that Roman had a point. They could possibly be stuck here for days, just a few days. The rescue team obviously wasn’t going to stop their search at any time due to the fact that they were all known superstars and that their disappearance was probably being talked about through the media as they speak. So instead of being worried if they were going to get any sort of stomach bug or a bad case of stomachache, they might as well start eating cooked, unseasoned, yet nurturing food.
With that, everyone collectively decided to agree. They decided to assign certain people with food hunting instead: Roman, Seth, Damian, Santos, and Sami. The decision somehow left a few hesitant, knowing that while Roman and Seth’s issues were put to rest for a while, Damian had a serious issue still with not only Sami, but Seth as well. And to top it off, Roman still had his eyes peeled towards Sami, especially after everything that happened. When this decision came to be, Rhea could only hope and pray that they didn’t crushed each other’s skulls or that a bear didn’t maul them because of their bickering and fighting.
The next thing was cutting up rations, cleaning, and preparing the meat before cooking. Having cooked before, Rhea volunteered.
But to her dismay, Raquel and Kevin also volunteered.
Admittedly, Rhea didn’t wanted to be anywhere near Raquel, let alone Kevin. For one, she and Raquel have been having their own issues over the past several months due to Rhea costing her and Liv Morgan the tag team titles. Since then, she has been on a feud with both, which ended up with Raquel challenging her for the title. This time, however, it was Liv’s turn to challenge her for the title at Wrestlemania 40, with all of them including themselves making their way to Colorado in which the event would take place. Thus, it was going to seem as if the event was going to be postponed due to their unfortunate situation.
The plane crash happened out of nowhere. None of them had zero idea as to how they’re even still breathing, let alone with some injuries in which Zelina, Becky, Jey, and Cody decided to take care of for the most part for everyone. Now, they were stuck in the middle of nowhere, with the only hope of the media or authorities tracking them down since the pilots were unresponsive and dead… which was also depressing, to say the least.
Sometimes, Rhea was making herself think that they only survived for some unknown reason- or force, even.
After a while, they began to hear footsteps as they looked up. They saw Roman and Santos emerging from the woods, both carrying a large deer that would be more than enough to feed them all. At the sight, everyone’s gaze immediately went up while some of them even stood.
“Oh thank God, I’m starving!” Sami said in relief while both Santos and Roman set the dead animal down.
“Now hold on, Sami. We don’t wanna eat this all raw.” Santos told him as he chortled. “Gotta prep the fire for that first, my man.”
“While we’re at it—“ Roman said as he turned to Rhea. She didn’t even have to answer as she quickly stood up and left her own rations to the side.
“Wait wait- how are we gonna cut up the rations and clean the meat?” Kevin blurted out. “We don’t have knives or anything like that, let alone water.”
“Found this at an abandoned shed. You’re welcome.” Seth called out as he also arrived with a large, old looking bag as he threw it on the ground.
“Well… guess we’re good to cut meat then.” Kevin shrugged as he stood up from his spot and went to grab the bag.
“As for water, we did found a river down by this cliff.” Roman told them as he pointed to where he, Seth, and Santos came from. “Just about five minutes from here, turn to your right, and you’ll find it there. Might as well use that as an opportunity to swim if you guys want to.”
“You sure there’s no crocs or anything like that in there?” Finn asked as he dusted himself while standing to stretch a bit. “Because if I’m gonna die, I ain’t dying by letting a croc eat me alive.”
“Finn, calm down, there’s no crocs.” Seth rolled his eyes. “We checked the area, and it’s clear. Now, it’s up to all of you if you want to take a quick dip there or not.”
Everyone shared a look with each other. “Well, someone can just grab several buckets of water for us here while we cut up the meat.” Raquel suggested as she gestured at herself, Kevin, and Rhea. “But it’s up to you guys if you want to go. We’ll stay in case someone arrives.“
“Well… y’all heard ‘em. Let’s take a break, everyone!” Seth said as he gestured at everyone to follow him. Several of them stood up, with Damian and Rey volunteering to grab buckets of water for the three butchers who were staying behind. In the meantime, Rhea began to prepare some of the utensils that Seth brought them to cut up the meat along with KO. It’s been a while since she had cut up a dead animal, but from her father’s teachings, she has learned how to do so, especially in situations like these. While Kevin volunteered to chop off the legs, she went to begin to slice at the middle part. Raquel would need to take care of the dead animal’s upper body in the meantime.
However, she thought she was going to do so now when she noticed that her former best friend wasn’t beside her nor Owen’s. She looked up for a second to see that she and Liv were talking among themselves only. Liv had a concerned look on her face while Raquel placed her hands on her shoulders in reassurance. The blonde sighed and only gave a small nod before she patted the taller woman’s arm lightly and went to try and catch up to Zelina, who was leaving with the group as well down by the river.
Before Raquel could turn back to her, Rhea instantly turned back to her task, acting as if she didn’t see anything, but also trying not to feel… bothered by what she just saw as she began to slice off the meat a bit more aggressively.
THIS WAS A SMALL PREVIEW?? Anon, I absolutely LOVE this. (Also Jealous!Rhea? 🤭🤭)

Reassurance [Fic]
Me when I got (technically back) into wrestling: I'm not gonna write fanfic for this, most likely...
Me Now, lost in The Zowens Saga sauce: *writes this* Confound these Canadians, they drive me to feel and need to vent those feelings creatively!
KInda had to give myself some Zowens hurt/comfort after last SmackDown/the pessimism vibes setting in. Enjoy. (And sorry if I don't get their voices 100% its my first attempt at writing them like this.)
Summary: After The KO Show went awry, Kevin and Sami need to touch base on what they're gonna do going forward.
Tumblr media
Sami knew by the time they got to the hotel room that something was up.
He had his suspicions on the car ride back from that night's SmackDown. Every time Sami tried to start a conversation, Kevin answered in a blunt, quick way. Like his mind was only on the road and elsewhere. Sami initially didn't pry, for the sake of his friend's space.
But then Kevin sighed when they entered the room and aggressively threw his hoodie onto the bed. Yep, something is definitely eating at him, Sami thought.
And if Sami was gonna continue to enjoy what he'd heard the others call their "honeymoon phase" and not have to crash alone again, he had to be persistent as usual.
(Yes, he COULD crash with Cody, who always offered. But after hearing The American Nightmare talk in his sleep too much the one time he did, Sami always politely declined.)
"Alright, what's up?" Sami said as Kevin sat down on the bed.
 "Nothing, it's stupid."
"Come on, Kev. Not talking is what got us in this mess in the first place."
 Kevin didn't say a word.
Sami started pacing. "Hey, if it's about the entrance thing, I'm sorry. We can do it your way next–"
"Did we rush into this, Sami?" Kevin said, not making eye contact and stopping Sami dead in his tracks.
 "What?"
"Tagging together. Did we rush into it? I mean, we haven't even had a tag match together in years and here we are, taking on the longest reigning champs next week at freaking WrestleMania. And if we weren't bickering over something as stupid as our entrances, we might not have had time to get blindsided by the freaking Usos!" Kevin pounded the bed and groaned in frustration.
"Kevin..." Sami said, gently sitting down beside him. "Tonight was just a rough patch. I mean, obviously we've still got stuff to work out. It's just like ring rust. We'll just do what you've always done: keep fighting and it'll work itself out. We'll be back in the swing of it in no time and we're gonna win." He added, ignoring they had a week/two shows to go before WrestleMania.
Kevin sighed. "I'm just...terrified I'm gonna lose you, again. Like you're gonna get caught up in all the love you're getting and leave me, again. Or I'm gonna get pissed for some reason and betray you again and regret it later but now I have to double down cuz it's too late, and–"
Sami grabbed Kevin's hand, stilling him this time. "Kevin, you're not gonna lose me..." He sighed. "Maybe I am getting a little carried away, though..."
"You're a pair of sunglasses, wild clothes, and an annoying laugh away from being Seth Rollins at his worst." Kevin teased.
Sami laughed. "Aren't you guys kinda friends again?"
Kevin smirked. "Doesn't mean I can't call him out for being a douche sometimes." Kevin leaned back. "His theme song is catchy, though." Sami then caught him mumble "Maybe I need to get one you can sing, too..."
 Oh.
Sami turned to Kevin, "Hey, you get a lot of love, too. And honestly, why wouldn't you? You're insane in the ring and fire on the mic. And come on, have you seen what you've pulled off over the past year? You dragged freaking Stone Cold out of retirement to main event last year's first night of Mania, and fought tooth and nail with Seth Rollins to keep that spot! You tore Theory a new one with that one promo! You were one of the only people smart enough to see that Ezekiel was clearly Elias!"
"Aha! So you admit I was right about it!"
"You made compelling points in hindsight. Anyway, you took on The Bloodline single-handedly for like–forever! Hell, if I wasn't an idiot, you would have had Roman at WarGames."
 "You aren't an idiot–"
"And you freaking had him at the Rumble, too! You should've won! AND YOU EVEN LAID OUT SOLO THAT ONE TIME THAT SHOULD'VE COUNTED BEFORE THAT! And...you didn't give up on me for the longest time..." Sami looked down. "And that's just some stuff from this year. Hell, if I start going further back, I could go on and on about the rest of your career," he chuckled before meeting Kevin's gaze again.
"You know how you said you've been my biggest fan for twenty years? Well, I've been your biggest fan for twenty years. And there's no one I'd ever want to be in that ring with me–let alone in my corner or holding those tag titles up–than you, Kevin. I meant it when I said I love you."
Kevin looked stunned. "...You're serious about this, aren't you? You're really sure?"
Sami cupped his face. "Does this seem unsure to you?" Sami said, leaning towards him in a way that was slow enough for Kevin to realize what was happening and pull away if he wanted, but fast enough to not ruin the moment with awkwardness when Sami's lips finally met Kevin's.
Given the way Sami felt KO's hands settle onto his sides, it was clear Sami had his permission to kiss him and kiss him hard.
Sami pulled away, looking into Kevin's eyes with all the love in the world as he rested his forehead against his and stroked his cheeks with his thumb. "Did that clear things up for you?"
Kevin looked almost a little flustered. He shook his head then smirked. "I dunno, you may have to run that last part by me again, Sami."
Sami laughed. "I'll run it by you as many times as you need."
"Good," Kevin said, "cuz I might have some things to run by you, too."
 "I'm listening intently."
Pulling each other close, the tag partners began the next of many kisses that night, Sami throwing his arms around Kevin's neck as he leaned him back against the bed.

Elimination Chamber preview
Roman Reigns vs. John Cena vs. Braun Strowman vs. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor vs. The Miz vs. Elias - This match will be held within the elimination chamber, a large cage composed of heavy chains stretched across a steel frame surrounding the ringside area.  The winner will challenge Brock Lesnar for the universal championship at Wrestlemania XXXIV.
Normally this is a timed gauntlet elimination match, where two wrestlers start and everyone else enters at five minute intervals. Eliminations can occur at any time by pinfall or submission, but the match can’t end until everyone has entered.  The last participant who is not eliminated is the winner.  The chamber structure comes into play in that everyone is locked inside until they are eliminated; everybody but the two starters are locked inside four “pods” until they are allowed to enter the match.  That assumes there’ll be six participants, but this time we have seven, and WWE has not explained how that will affect the rules.
The order of entry is notionally random, and revealed only during the course of the match.  Occasionally, though, the order is affected by matches held before the show; in this case, Elias gets to enter last while the Miz is forced to start.  Theoretically, it’s possible for many eliminations to occur before the last person even enters, which would be a gigantic advantage, although I can’t remember it ever really helping that much.
Rollins is probably going to be the sentimental favorite.  Originally he wasn’t supposed to be in this match, and was slated for something with Jason Jordan at Mania, but Jordan needed neck surgery.  So Rollins made an impassioned plea about how he doesn’t want to miss Wrestlemania again (like he did in 2016), and now we have seven guys in the match.  Then the 2/19 Raw featured all seven men in a gauntlet match, and Rollins wrestled for over an hour to beat both Cena and Reigns.  That doesn’t mean Seth is going to win here, but I expect a lot of people will be disappointed if he doesn’t.
Balor is probably the best choice for a dark horse.  Miz and Strowman are expected to face each other at Mania, so I’d look for Braun to do some crazy power moves, get fucked over by Miz, and then chase Miz out of the building.  You’d think Cena should be a favorite, but they seem to be doing a thing where he’s increasingly concerned that he won’t even get a Mania match, and the best way to advance that story would be an unexpectedly bad loss.  As for Elias, I will personally be surprised if he does anything but bring his chair and guitar into the chamber and do his shtick.
It’s been widely believed for nearly a year that Roman Reigns is facing Lesnar at Wrestlemania, so this match would seem to be a formality.  On the other hand, there have times when the build to a Reigns title win (or a long title reign) appeared “inevitable” and then suddenly collapsed.  A swerve where Reigns loses here (and perhaps has to get added to the Lesnar match for a three-way) is at least possible. But not very likely.
Alexa Bliss vs. Sasha Banks vs. Bayley vs. Mickie James vs. Sonya Deville vs. Mandy Rose - Bliss is defending the Raw women’s championship in the first-ever women’s elimination chamber match.  The winner is expected to be the defending champion at Wrestlemania.  The big angles in this one are that Banks and Bayley have been friends but may not be able to get along; James and Bliss have been enemies but may be able to get along; and Rose and Deville are members of the same stable and are expected to get along.
The problem with chamber matches where a title is at stake is that they always fall flat with me.  Either the champion defies the odds and retains, which makes me think “well what was the point of that?” or somebody that is not and will not be feuding with the champion wins the belt, which makes me think “well that was totally random.”  In this case I can’t shake the feeling that this match is designed to make you think Bliss is finally going to get her comeuppance, and then she’ll find a way to win anyway and smirk at everybody.  And its like, that’s wrestling for you, and it’s not a bad idea.  But it doesn’t excite me, and I feel like it’s going to cause a lot of grumbling Monday morning.
Asuka vs. Nia Jax - Asuka won the Royal Rumble to earn her choice of a title match against either the Raw or Smackdown women’s champion at Wrestlemania, but she hasn’t declared her intentions yet.  Raw general manager Kurt Angle decided that if Jax wins this match, Jax will be in the Raw women’s championship match at Mania no matter what Asuka decides to do.
So the winner of the women’s chamber match could end up in a three-way against both Asuka and Jax.  Or Asuka could win this match and choose to challenge the Smackdown women’s champion, so that there would be no top challenger for the Raw title.  At least, that’s how I understand it.  WWE hasn’t been very clear about any of this.
It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world for Jax to break Asuka’s winning streak now, to get it over with, and then you’ve got two pretty good world-beaters instead of one god-tier world-beater.  But I don’t expect that to happen.  Asuka wins, and we get a whole year of people whining about something expect Ronda Rousey to potentially do someday.
Matt Hardy vs. Bray Wyatt - OK, so in 2016 Matt developed this “Broken Matt Hardy” gimmick in TNA, and at one point he and Bray Wyatt were bickering on Twitter about whether it was a knockoff of Wyatt’s “folksy gibberish” gimmick.  Then when Matt left TNA was an ownership dispute so he couldn’t use it when he returned to WWE last year.  Then for months he kept teasing that he’d almost worked out the legal issues to bring the character back.  And finally, after losing a match to Bray, Matt “snapped” and became “Woken Matt Hardy,” and it looked like everyone was going to get the crazy stupid high-concept feud they always wanted.  Of course, that was November 27, the only pay-per-view action we’ve seen with these two has been a couple of minutes in the Royal Rumble.
So far the “Woken Matt Hardy” gimmick has been a letdown.  To put this into perspective, Broken Matt was boxing kangaroos and baptizing people in his lake of reincarnation and filming mini-movies with his aerial assault robots. Woken Matt just laughs and says “yaaasss” a lot.  If WWE is serious about doing this shit right, you’d figure they’re rolling it out slowly, to get to the real wacky stuff around Wrestlemania.  But that assumes WWE was ever serious about doing this shit right, whereas I always assumed WWE just wanted to keep other promotions from doing it.  Either way, I think this match will only be a place-setter for some more high-profile rematch later.  So both guys are going to be saving these best kooky weirdness for later.  Bray should probably win to set up motivation for Matt to step up his game.
Cesaro & Sheamus vs. Titus O’Neil & Apollo - Titus Worldwide beat Shesaro in a non-title match, so now they’re challenging for the Raw tag team championship.  On paper I can’t see a title change happening, but Sheamus has got some serious neck issues and WWE desperately needs to liven up the tag division so he and Cesaro don’t have to carry so much of the load.  I’m always pulling for Titus and Apollo, but experience suggests I shouldn’t get my hopes up.
Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel - This is set for the pre-show.  Curiously, Gallows was just saying that the Young Bucks owe it to themselves to come to WWE someday, because it’s “a worldwide platform and you can’t beat that.  Which is funny because I think Gallows and Anderson are at least as good as the Bucks, but here they are stuck in the pre-show because creative has nothing for them, while the Bucks are key figures in the big Kenny Omega vs. Cody Rhodes saga.  Point is, Luke and Karl are horribly underutilized and I kind of wish they would get the hell out of this company.  At least they have a 100% chance of wining this match, so there’s that.
