When I started getting more into Vanguard, I made custom classes for the OG four Vanguard operators plus Mateo. I chose the operator favorite weapons for the XP grind and also because… yeah, it’s their favorite weapons. I tried to match their aesthetic as well.
VENGEANCE- Polina’s loadout, 3-Line Rifle (as secondary), Nightengale
BULK BOGAN- Lucas’s loadout, Owen Gun, Bogan
KING’S CROWN- Arthur’s loadout, Sten, King’s Crown
TAILGUNNER- Mateo’s loadout, M1916, Tailgunner
FLY-BOY- Wade’s loadout, Type 100, Fly-Boy

How did you study about military gear? I'm currently trying & searching sources and looking for some tips.
I really like your work btw. Keep going✨️
Hi! Thank you so much, I'm excited to share some knowledge with someone. <3 I tried summing up methods that have helped me the most: 1. lots of research (vids, blogs, magazines, loadout lists,...) 2. store/product photos 3. military photos (not airsoft!) 4. damtoy loadout showcase vids I first started off with doing extensive research on cod operators. Cosplay guides by shadeops21 (DeviantArt) are a huge help with the most accurate loadout lists.
Next step was looking up product photos & studying the functions, shapes, different angles. Store/product photos are my most used refs, they're in high resolution & you'll see every detail thanks to a well lit environment. I also collect military pics in one huge folder, not only for pose refs & inspo, but also as refs on how the gear is used. Product photos will lay flat, worn gear will always look different!
Make sure to learn how to differentiate airsoft from real military pics, airsofters (except for dedicated reenactors/milsimers) tend to have wacky tastes (ugly, black amazon gear and fake, glowing NVGs,...).
The gear of Damtoys is incredibly accurate & precise, watching videos of the dolls being dressed will also give you an idea on how accs (pouches, glow sticks, radio systems, ...) are attached to the equipment.
My strongest interests lay in SOF, so I'll also collect magazines with expert info, insights & loadout descriptions (K-ISOM (German) SPECIAL OPS (Polish)). To my advantage, I do have friends who are either huge military nerds or in active duty, I'll sometimes ask them questions and learn about the features and (dis)advantages of various pieces of gear. It's a life hack, but you'll achieve your goal either way if you're determined!
After you got a feel for the basics, you can start accommodating knowledge. Study drawing/recognizing the most used equipment first, western modern kits are very repetitive (as the products are so good, they don't need to be replaced). Headsets: 3M Peltor ComTac, Sordin, Ops-Core AMP Helmets: Ops-Core, Crye AirFrame, Team Wendy, MICH 2000 Plate carriers: Crye JPC, Crye AVS, First Spear, Lindnerhof, AGILITE, LBT Slick & 6094 Gloves: Oakleys, PIG FDT Alpha, Mechanix, Petzl, Nomex flight gloves, Outdoor Research Ironsight After that you can start looking up more niche or less iconic brands and gear, you'll be a nerd in no time. I hope this is helpful and I'm sorry for the late reply. If you ever need help or info on something, feel free to dm me on Twitter or Tumblr!

HOW TO PLAY: MWIII CAMPAIGN
Aside from revealing the number of Campaign Missions, the following information is considered spoiler-free.
The Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® III Campaign is a direct continuation of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II narrative, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. The ultranationalist Vladimir Makarov is back on the scene, extending his grasp across the world.
Tumblr media
From COD HQ, head to the Modern Warfare III section and select the Campaign tile. Even though the game has already launched, we don’t want to spoil anything about it. Follow the prompts when starting the Campaign to choose your difficulty setting and then get right to it. The game will tell you everything you need to know to get started. Prepare for a wild ride.
Tumblr media
Open Combat Missions:
Modern Warfare III introduces Open Combat Missions (OCMs), which occur throughout the Campaign alongside more traditional single-player missions. OCMs redefine player agency, offering an unparalleled degree of freedom and greatly expanding the playable area.
Open Combat Missions require the best of the best. In each mission, you will deploy as a designated member of Task Force 141: Farah, Ghost, Gaz, Soap, or Price.
In your first playthrough of an OCM, your Operator is assigned a starting Loadout according to the mission’s narrative, including the Spotter Scope to better scan the environment for enemy threats, tagging enemies, locating equipment, and discovering information about points of interest. One of your first tasks is to seek out better gear, of which there is an abundance, found throughout the area of operations.
Gear Up
Expect to find all sorts of useful items in OCMs, including new weapons, Equipment, Field Upgrades, and even Armaments (that Multiplayer Operators know as “Killstreaks”) that will boost your offensive and defensive capabilities. Of particular importance, however, are the Parachute, Ascender, and Armor Plate Carrier upgrades.
➢ Parachute: The Parachute is a game changer, allowing you to safely jump from great heights and soar over long distances. Follow the button prompt when jumping from a high point to activate the Parachute. When you’re close to landing, your Operator will automatically cut the rope and return to a standing position, or you can cut the cord manually to force a landing.
➢ Ascender: Going up! The Ascender helps you reach the highest points on the map. With this item, you can zip up ropes that lead to places in key positions throughout the environment, or ziplines to move across long horizontal distances. Use your elevated or newly-acquired position to escape a problematic situation, snipe from a distance, or, if you’ve got the Parachute, reposition far from your current location.
➢ Plate Carrier Upgrade Vest: Initially, your Operator can only equip one Armor Plate at a time, a reasonable-enough defense in minor battles but lacking when the action gets hectic. Find a Plate Carrier Upgrade Vest to increase the number of Armor Plates you can equip at a time. When you first find the Vest, your carrying capacity will increase to two Armor Plates, and then three after finding another one. Now you’re ready for anything.
Getting Around: Your Tac Map and Minimap
➢ Tac Map
The Tac Map is of essential importance, providing an overview of the objective and its location. A legend indicates the position of important items, and a tracker shows your most important gear and the weapons and items you’ve discovered in the level.
When first deploying into an OCM, the majority of the Tac Map will be covered in a fog of war. As you explore the environment, the fog will be lifted, revealing greater environmental detail.
➢ Minimap
Use the minimap to pinpoint items in your immediate surroundings without needing to pull up your Tac Map. Discovered weapons, Supply Boxes, Field Upgrades, and other Armaments will be displayed here along with the objective location and other points of interest.
➢ Enemy Alert Levels: The minimap is also your cue to the enemy’s current alert level. When you’ve been seen, the borders will turn yellow, indicating that they are aware of something in the vicinity without knowing your exact location. If found — or if you initiate the attack — the borders will turn red to show that they know where you are. At this time, an enemy may even throw the alarm to call in reinforcements.
The enemies themselves also follow this color-coded system. Red dots on the minimap indicate enemies rushing to engage in combat, while yellow dots represent enemies on the lookout.
With fast movement and clever repositioning, it’s possible to get out of the alert state. Red will revert to yellow when they’ve lost you but are still on guard for your whereabouts, and then will return to a less aggressive state  if you continue to remain out of sight. At this point, you can resume your stealth operations, or just get into a better position before going guns blazing again.
Play It Again
OCMs reward exploration and repeated playthroughs with weapons and items found throughout the level. When you replay an OCM, you get to customize your starting Loadout based on the weapons and items you’ve found in previous playthroughs.
Start the mission with your Parachute and Ascender already in hand, plus any extra Armor Plate carrying capacity earned through Vests. Use your enhanced starting gear to push into higher difficulty levels and/or try out new tactics.
Top 5 Tips for Open Combat Missions
1. There’s always another way. Grab a vehicle and race past the sentries straight to the objective; dive into the water and reposition out of sight; use your Parachute to soar over enemy encampments. OCMs offer endless possibilities in how you approach the task at hand. If something’s not working, revisit your tactics and take a new approach.
2. The right gear for the job. While at first, you’ll need to make do with the gear you’re provided, with enough exploration and scavenging, you’ll soon a wider variety of equipment that can best suit your style of play. If you’re going stealth, Throwing Knives and a Recon Drone are better choices than Frag Grenades and unsuppressed weapons and vice versa.
3. Know your enemy. Even if you’re not going the stealth route, it pays to stay out of sight and scout nearby enemy positions. Look for red vehicles on the minimap indicating enemy patrols, and scan the horizon for snipers and other threats you might miss when rushing straight in. Regardless of your approach, that intel will help you make better decisions in the heat of the moment.
4. Build up your arsenal. OCMs encourage replayability through the accumulation of weapons and items found in the level. Use your arsenal to build out the perfect Loadout on subsequent playthroughs and get right to the task at hand without first needing to scavenge for the proper supplies.
5. Ramp up the challenge. Use your expanded arsenal on subsequent playthroughs to push into higher difficulty levels. Tackling an OCM on Veteran is much more manageable when deploying with your preferred Loadout.

hiii Im not sure if you're still on your car ride ummmh ignore if you're not haha but I was wondering if you have more than one cod oc? :D
I love PriceRaven and recently GhostRaven 👀👀 a lot!! So I got curious
Im at home now but its ok LMAO you can always ask me things anytime
well I have another few more OCs that doesn't have a thorough lore and attention Raven gets, or I haven't decide if I want to place them in the COD universe
they're more like a concept- lil gremlins in my head yk HAHA but I'll introduce you to a few
First off in Raven's cannon universe, there are 3-4 more OCs that exist Vik and Archi, which are Raven's adoptive parents and the founder of Cobra (I don't have a face for Archi yet sadly, technically also for Vik too, cant decide a face for him + bonus Cobra insignia) -> also the main antagonist in Raven's timeline (these are old doodles)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Second is Fish, he's a Medic OC who ironically doesn't want to live while saving other's live (rather dubiously, he decides everything with a flip of a coin) -> not sure if Im making him exist in COD universe because he's just more like a guy I ship with my friend's oc with
Tumblr media
Third and Fourth is still a process Im thinking (it's been a few months send help)
the idea is this, this new OC is a weapons specialist/engineer or munitions system specialist (basically a personnel focusing more on storage, handling, and maintenance of weapons, ammunition, and explosives)
they're one of the few people Raven trust and are close acquaintances with in Cobra
when I was brainstorming this new OC some friends suggested making it a twin, hence third or fourth
Nothing much has gone into them besides the idea is that they carry a huge plushie around and inside its their rifles XD and I want them to be ridiculously tall
They're probably going to be the type that doesn't talk much and knows sign language, owns like a real fancy garage / workshop to tinker with items and such
They operate based on their own virtue, so after Cobra betrays Raven they left Cobra as well and sort of went off their own ways
They also helped Raven in more ways than one:
sending intel to Price to let him know she was majorly injured (they couldn't meddle in because they were still active Cobra members at that time)
wiped out "Python" data(her old callsign when she was in Cobra) and retrieved what's left of her belongings(her precious sniper)
assisted her and Price's loadout situation after mw3 when they have to go under the radar for a period of time on their own
im just really bad at coming up a character design so I've put off these for so long (Raven took like legit 8 months ish to finalize her design - that's a lie there are still things Im changing for her HAHA)
If you have an OC you want to ramble about you can info dump in my inbox :3 I love reading it

One observation I've had over my 50 odd hours of playtime is that a lot of players don't realize how much crowd control and enemy prioritization lift for a team.
I play a lot of roguelikes like vampire survivors and halls of torment so I've the got the experience and muscle memory to constantly lead and avoid groups while picking off threats.
My one friend is a hardcore cod zombies dude and his ability to to remain a hairsbreadth out of danger while handling entire armies is mind-boggling in motion. He also dives literally everywhere and for any reason.
Then we have another gaming pal who pretty exclusively plays cod multiplayer and destiny pvp and he runs into enemy nests like he's invincible and just shoots at whatever moves like an overstimulated methead. He's effective to a certain degree but after like level 5 that type of bravado just kills you 80% of the time. He can't unlearn it either years of gaming has it hardwired in his brain.
I see it in randoms too where there will be a lone wolf absolutely fucking butt across the map solo wiping objectives and you watch him and he's got those bugs on a leash with good distancing and constant movement and his loadout is a balanced mix that can deal with any threat.
I even saw an absolute legend run 4 turrets and the new auto laser on a kill bugs mission and end up with the lion's share of the total kills. He pinged everything from breaches to heavies to firing lines for his guns. He was level 40 something so it makes sense but still. Really opened my eyes to the importance of crowd control.
