hii author! i hope your doing well, the last update and the hints at the end of the chapter about seven killed me, but pretty please answer my question… does this mean that we get to see the mating in the next chapters? 😩😩😩
I already have the next chapter planned out in my head. It’ll begin in the bathhouse and eventually the setting will change when he takes her to a certain place. While he won’t mate with her next chapter, I smell spice that will be it’s own sort of foreplay to the mating.
The actual mating chapter will come after the next one, but I promise some smut to tide you over until then in the next one.
The entire fic has led up to them mating, so I have a very specific sequence planned out already to really make it gratifying for you guys, and for me.

CoC Chapter 26:
I love Bobby, I have to say. He's been probably my favorite person this whole journey.
I'm not the biggest fan of Lauren, I think she's a bit too abrasive and self-centered to be really likable, and I think I resonate too much with Bobby to really love her. I appreciate her, and I can see that she could be the favorite character for a whole lot of other people, but she just isn't for me.
It's so fascinating that we're just now talking about Pan, and his connections to potentially being the Piper. I love this idea, and I want to know more about it.
It does feel like it's taken Lauren far too long to really come to the conclusion that the Piper is truly behind these things. I would have expected after the first death and ominous warning, and first sightings of Marie, that it was inevitable. Maybe after the Mo interrogation. Certainly after the Harmonica incident. But no, it's taken over 200 pages for her to really, truly get it together, which feels bleakly frustrating.
I know she doesn't have all of the information that the readers do, but still, it feels... Almost unnecessary for her to have gone this long without that confirmation.
The death scenes were properly horrifying, and also frustrating because I want to know how much the adults in these kids' lives actually know, and what have they seen or heard? How are they explaining these things?
One final thing: the further we go, the more grammar errors I'm noticing. It's kind of jarring, especially the ones where the quotations are wrong or forgotten entirely. Maybe it's just me being in the midst of my degree, but it feels wrong to see double-quotes used during dialogue (eg: "he saw "the little drummer boy" in the theater") when they're supposed to be single ("he saw 'the little drummer boy' in the theater").
