Download this sewing pattern for our sweet little bunny doll, complete with a set of overalls and beanie to keep him snug.
The perfect toy / gift for a loved one, you will have fun making it and they will have endless hours of fun playing. The overalls are very easy to put on and off, even for small children.
The finished height of the Bunny is 30 cm ( 11 ¹³/₁₆ ")

Another year, another outfit to die in! Happy birthday again Izuna!!!!!!
Like last year, I played with someone else's lines for these charming patterns, thank you so much Lena @elhnrt ! I had a ton of fun :D
Check the readmore for pattern references and explanations, there are some easter eggs in there :)

My goal for this piece, in addition to playing with patterns and textures and adding some Naruto references, was to add as many death flags as possible.
The idea of having Izuna in a fireman's coat is obviously not from me. I've always like the idea of Uchihas in fire resistant clothes, and the opportunity for a thick texture alongside a reversible double pattern is very appealing. I used the image of the second reference as a base, with skulls on one side and stylized lightning patterns on the other (visible inside the sleeves and collar). Both were common immagery of firemen coats.
The actual skull pattern is taken from the third reference. I'd seen this one before and before even learning anything abt it it was too beautiful to pass up. Those white and navy gradients are absolutely delightful and I enjoyed using my gel pens for them very much.... This particular type of imagery with skulls and bones in a field is called Nozarashi, inspired by Buddhist representation of death and transience.
The lightning pattern itself is a reference to water and lightning dragons :) Like Tobirama's iconic jutsu, it's one of the hints of what's abt to happen to our little guy. The scabbard is also decorated with dragon motifs for the same reason.
The background pattern is taken from the first reference, another fireman's coat with an illustration of Raijin, the thunder god. He is often representated with drums decorated with tomoes. It works nicely as a standard looking sharingan illustration, with a reference to Tobirama's hiraishingiris with the thunder imagery, like the thunder patterns inside the coat.
If you're interested in this I recommend the book linked in the second reference! It is entirely about skeleton motifs in japanese clothing of the early 20th century.

I made Anne some bloomers using Heirloom Doll Clothes for Götz by Martha Campbell Pullen, Ph. D, using the White Bloomers pattern.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I did alter the pattern by taking out 1/2” in the leg. I was worried they would be too long, but now I see they would’ve been fine as is. These bloomers have a higher back waistline than the front
All in all, it took about 2 or so hours to sew these up. I used an amalgamation of techniques, drawing on this book, my own knowledge, and the Mary Francis School of 1910’s Sewing including:
felled hem for the lace,
hand finishing for the inner leg seams,
increased the casing from 3/4” to 1 1/8” to accommodate the elastic I had on hand,
moved up the leg elastic placement,
stitched on top of the elastic, instead of not catching it (my machine stitch only goes to 3 mm width)
tailored the amount of elastic (from 5”/ 7” w/ 2” seam allowance, down to 4 1/2 with 1/2” seam allowance),
and added my own touch with extra lace trim above the elastic frill.

Anne is still borrowing Addy’s Semi-Historical Camisole Top, but I plan to make her this peplum camisole once I get some more lace trim… plus a petticoat with the same wide joined type lace trim I used for that lace camisole and Addy’s fancy pantalets.

Woe. Tiny Brother Guy of Dijon be upon ye.
Tumblr media
I've spent the last few days doing this, I used the designs/patterns from "Felt Wee Folk" by Salley Mavor. The face got messed up, of course, by the actual painting of the face. Also Tumblr fucked the picture quality I swear it wasn't this blurry before.

Behold the Beaded Bride!
I consider this my Magnum Opus as I’m not doing this again anytime soon! I did this back in 07-08 (I think) for my mom for Christmas. She was made using the 1901 French Bridal Gown from the Paradise Collection crochet series.
Tumblr media
This is the materials and the beginning of the skirt pattern. Yup, you read that right-1000 sequins! (So it’s more sequined than beaded but whatever),Luckily Sis would string stuff for me whenever she got frustrated with homework/her video games.
Tumblr media
It’s made in two sections; the bodice:
Tumblr media
and the skirt. Both are rather simple; it’s the appliques that make it really fancy. The medallions were crocheted first and the lines of sequins or beads done up separately. Then using the template in the pattern you glued the pieces onto a thin piece of fabric to create the appliques. These you would cut out and glue onto the gown (which is why it hangs funny in places)
Tumblr media
The circle medallions are spaced all around the bottom and the edges of the skirt are heavily beaded as well. You can also see the sleeve appliques here.
Tumblr media
Here you can see the beaded choker and headdress. I had to redo some of the hanging beads as mice had chewed it! (but thankfully it was easy to fix)
Tumblr media
Her veil is HUGE. It’s crochet beaded all along the edge and features another applique at the bottom.
Tumblr media
Close up. I love the butterfly here matches the one on her bodice.
Tumblr media
Her bouquet! The outer edge has a row of beads ans sequins. The mice ate the ribbon roses so I had to replace them; I like these better anyway. She also had a beaded purse but the mice destroyed it and I’m not inclined to make another one (I’m just thankful it wasn’t anything else!)
Tumblr media
It’s been about 15 years and I’m STILL impressed I managed to make this! I hope you enjoyed seeing it:)

Here's a look at an art doll iv been working on for the longest time.
He's halfway till being complete, just have to bust out the old sewing machine and make him some 1920s themed explorer clothes to finish him off!
He is fully posable, with his spine being made from ball and socet joints and his limbs and fingers being made from wire.
Every part of him is hand made :)

i wanna make more clothes for my little sonic guys other than the basic skirts but im not very good at sewing and theyre so small and a lot of them have spikes or tails on their backs that get in the way of clothes so i dont really know where to start with it because it would probably be really hard to make anything else ....

Love thinking abt the Raggettes sm. Are they also rag dolls? Or other dolls? Or humans? Or their own thing? Can the others see & hear them? Are they all friends?
