Smaugust 2023 day 31. It's like this every other week with Claude's wyvern.
8/31/2023. Drawn with Pilot Petit fountain pen, using Monteverde "Charoite" ink. Colored with Copic markers.
9/1-5/2023. Digital clean-up, fixes, and assembly in Krita. Also used previous days' fanart of chibi DMCL with wyvern. Older fanart included some drawn with Platinum Preppy fountain pen, using Noodler's Ink, and colored with Copic markers, and once with Daiso Water Colors.

In just one day, Dimitri loses everyone he's ever loved and is forced to claim his untimely birthright as boss of the Blue Lions mafia. For five years, he leads a life of isolation, fighting for misguided revenge in the name of those he lost, until one day, just as suddenly as he supposedly died, his childhood friend Claude reappears on the grid. Happy Dimiclaude Day!💐💐💐💐
Celebrating June 30, the equivalent date in FE3H Azure Moon route, when Dimitri rescued Claude at Derdriu.
6/30/2023. Clamp light used on tripod as fill light, in addition to phone camera's flash lighting. Roses used to cover figure support bases, but also to imply a rosy/romantic perception. I'm reluctantly trying to return to a habit of putting my watermark logo in the corner, after recently, when one of my older figure photos got broadly spread around without attribution. Used Krita to digitally erase some dust fibers from Claude.

Happy Dimiclaude Day! An oldie but a goodie pose! ^_^
My calendar alarm said that June 30 was Dimiclaude Day, so I'm trusting that past me noted that correctly. Should be the date when Dimitri rescued Claude at Derdriu.

Practicing mediums with chibi Claude & Dimitri mers.
Continuing MerMay 2023, since I missed a lot of days in May.
6/11/2023. Line drawings in Copic Gasenfude brush pen. No pencil underdrawings; no erasing. Colored with Daiso Water Colors. Fish scales and fin ribs drawn with Col-erase color pencils. Bubbles drawn with white-out pen, because my Gelly Roll pen wasn't opaque enough, on top of the watercolor paints. It's a very old Gelly Roll pen. Some digital fixes in Krita: erased some specks; brightened lighting since my scanner makes colors drab.
Trying a mix of watercolors and color pencils, since I don't use them often. I think I should use them more often as backgrounds like this, even though I rarely use watercolor paper. I've also been wanting to get into the habit of mixing mediums more often, which is why I added details with color pencils, instead of using a smaller paintbrush.
I was supposed to continue my fancomic, but I've been so out of practice with drawing, I got too intimidated and decided to just practice-doodle instead. I'll try to continue my comic later today.

Dimitri endears himself to Claude's wyvern.
I like Dimiclaude fanfics and headcanons where Claude's wyvern is overprotective, so he has to teach the wyvern to get used to Dimitri.
I was organizing files tonight, and decided to finally arrange my drawings from 8/13/2022 to 9/3/2022 into one file, like a sequential comic. (Drawings' details are in the individual posts of each fanart, from the August-September 2022 sections of my/this art blog.)
Usually, I insert panel gutters/frames, but these drawings seemed to work well without them.

Quick DMCL doodle.
I need to work on turning a lot of my analog sketches into vector drawings, but digital drawing doesn't scratch the same itch for me as practicing traditional drawing. So I'm going to try to do a quick analog doodle everyday, before I hunker down to work on digital for a while.
