I’ve started watching class of 3000. Why is there only two seasons it’s so good!! Aaa

How I would've written "Westley Side Story"

Because I found the twins' fight kinda out of nowhere. Up until that episode, they clearly got along well, and what disagreements they had didn't lead to a brawl. I know it was just for the plot and comedy, but I wish their conflict was better thought-out.

If I was writing this episode, I would've started it with the twins' birthday party. It took place in the Chin household, and the whole class was invited. Everything was going well until the twins' opened the presents and see they got each other the same K-engraved pendant. This leads to an argument.

Kim: Matching pendants?! Those are so tacky! This is the worst birthday gift ever! Kam: How was I supposed to know you'd get me the same thing? Actually, why did you think I'd want an accessory for a present?! That's your thing! Kim: Well, if you knew that, then you should've known I'd get this pendant, and get something else! Kam: Just because we're twins, it doesn't mean we have some kind of hive mind and know exactly what the other is thinking at any given moment!

And the scene fades to the next day, when Sunny is teaching everyone to find rhythm while the twins are fuming in the background. The plot unfolds in the same way as the original episode, except I'd change how the twins reconcile, too.

They had just been abandoned in the forest and are arguing about it. The fight causes them to reveal they have been wearing each other's pendant the whole time. When they look into those pendants, they don't only see themselves, but also the memory of them choosing a birthday gift that would make their beloved twin happy.

Kam: A lettered pendant! And it's gold; Kim's always talking about adding some bling to her outfit. Kim: This gold pendant perfectly complements Kam's red blazer!

Realizing what stupid jerks they had been, the twins apologize and make up. Then, they work together to get back to the others like in the original episode, except in the end, they thank Sunny for leaving them in the forest because it gave them the time and space to work things out between them.

Throughout the show, there have been many moments that hinted the twins trusted and relied on each other a lot despite their disagreements. I wish the one episode about their relationship would've properly exemplified that.

Oh, and another thing—during the introduction of the Eastley music class, Jim and Jam should've been the counterparts of Kam and Kim, respectively. Now I'm done!

Sunny: So. Who broke it? I’m not mad. I just want to know.

Madison: I did. I broke it…

Sunny: No. No, you didn’t. Philly Phil?

Philly Phil: Don’t look at me. Look at Lil D.

Lil D: What?! I didn’t break it!

Philly Phil: Huh. That’s weird. How did you even know it was broken?

Lil D: Because it’s sitting right in front of us and it’s broken!

Philly Phil: Suspicious...

Lil D: No, it’s not!

Kam: If it matters, probably not…Tamika was the last one to use it.

Tamika: Liar! I don’t even drink that crap!

Kam: Oh really? Then what were you doing by the coffee cart earlier?

Tamika: I use the wooden stirrers to push back my cuticles. Everyone knows that, Kam!

Eddie: Alright let’s not fight. I broke it, let me pay for it, Sunny.

Sunny: No. Who broke it?

Lil D: [whispering] Sunny, Kim’s been awfully quiet…

Kim: Really?!

Lil D: Yeah, really!

[All arguing]

Sunny: I broke it. I burned my hand so I punched it. I predict ten minutes from now, they’ll be at each other’s throats with warpaint on their faces and a pig head on a stick. Good. It was getting a little chummy around here.

hiii. after watching class of 3000 what character interactions do u think would be most fun to explore. I almost typed explode

YAAAAY this is such a good question !!!!!! honestly as an ensemble cast i feel like class of 3000 overall balances itself and its cast interactions out pretty well (lil d, eddie, and philly phil maybe get some more extra centric episodes in my opinion though. granted it makes sense for lil d since there was an interview where andre said that the character was supposed to in some way kind of be based off him as a kid/his experiences in school)

ALL THAT TO BE SAID !!

pretty much tamika and anybody else. being fully transparent, this is bias cuz tamika is arguably one of my faves of the show and while she does actually get moments to shine i feel like shes just a liiiittle underutilized. when they start using her to set up gags about eddie being clearly infatuated with her instead of that being more of a consistent background detail it starts really negatively effecting the writing of both characters imo. she and madison have some charming bits and that episode where theyre paired up together but i would have also loved to see more of a dynamic between her and kim !! kim's very artistic and expressive and wants to be something of a trendsetter but is obviously (for very reasonable 12 year old reasons, i think) invested in still being apart of the "in" crowd and other people's perception of her, and i think that mirror's tamika's whole thing of being cool and tough but being afraid that that image might be compromised if she lets more of her softer side come through (her collecting dolls, baking cookies with her goofball dad, and actually really enjoying very mushy displays of affection for example) rather nicely ! plus their instruments (turn tables, misc percussive instruments and the harp) would go nicely together imo

I ALSO THINK tamkia and lil d would be fun to explore !!!!!! they kind of start off strong in the beginning of the first season but theres less of it as the show goes on which is a shame ! its funny to watch them squabble almost like siblings but its very clear that they still like and care about each other-- i mean in one episode where tamika goes to hang out with some other girls lil d laments that he misses her threatening him and when she shoves him he exclaims "we missed you tamika !!!" very earnestly !!! it would be nice to explore tamika's side of that yknow !!!

maybe the writers thought philly phil and madison were too similar since theyre both kind of eccentric goofballs to have them paired up more often but i think they could play off each other really nicely ! after all madison is supposed to be more of a ditzy but friendly hippie type and philly phil's mostly just socially inept and kind of clumsy, i think you could find a lot of comedy potential balancing that

i also think philly phil and kam could have gotten more screen time as a duo, seeing as they have the whole geek and nerd dichotomy going on. kam is more of a skeptic whereas philly phil seems to be more willing to believe in things like aliens and santa claus and unicorns even though hes a "man of science", i think it was a real missed opportunity to not have him and kam maybe get into friendly arguments about it or something, or maybe realize they have converging interests (like kam's belief/enthusiasm for bigfoot)

i like lil d and eddie's friendship ! it read to me like eddie was the closest to lil d out of everyone in the group, and i say that even without taking "eddie's money" into consideration (even though thats a great showcase i feel like as to what im talking about !) like everytime lil d needs to pay for something and hes just like "its whatever eddie's got it" eddie just does with very little to no complaint, idk !!! i just like em. plus i think they illustrate again some of the stuff andre was talking about in his goal of exploring the culture of atlanta and his own experiences there since lil d and eddie come from bankhead and buckhead respectively, and him (andre 3000 i mean) mentioning that he went to school on the other side of town with a whole bunch of ppl including the mayor's kids lol

i just love sunny's little individual mentor moments with the kids in general !!!!!! obviously he and lil d are big one and kind of the show's highlight for obvious reasons, but i also really love the one on one moments he gets with kim, which happen way more often than i initially expected !!! i would have loved to see him sort of guide and mentor again tamika a bit more too again to possibly help her reconcile both elements of her identity as both a no-nonsense butt-kicker and somebody with more "childish" or "girly" interests. and also him and philly phil, just because i think. it would be zany. and good for hijinks.

Now, heres their designs explanation:

Number one, Lil' D - I had gave him a slightly longer hair And I made him look a little more cuter because of his face, but I didnt change him too much

Number two, Madison - I had gave her a more longer hair, And even a Purple headband, And even some sleeves for her dress. I even gave her a beautymark on her cheek

Number two, philly Phil - I have gave him lots of details, like braces (I like giving nerdy characters braces ^///^;) a little more bigger And puffier hair, And an visible Adam Apple, And I gave him a pansexual pin on his jumpsuit

Number four, kim And kam - I havent changed them too much, but I did gave them some juicy lips, And orange hearts on their cheeks And they have that so others can know theyre twins

Number five, tamika And Eddie - same like kim And kam, I didnt change them too much, but I did gave them some details on the hair, And I gave tamika colored nails And a beautymark, And I gave Eddie some earrings, slight longer hair And fur on his shoulders

I finished watching both seasons of Class Of 3000, and I totally agree it deserves to be continued.

There has to be some changes, though, to keep it from stepping into the same pitfalls that caused the cancellation. Here's what I propose:

Hire more composers so the deadlines won't be as tight as when there's only one composer

Keep the insert songs within 1½ minutes

Make the episodes 15-minute blocks

Focus on only a few characters at a time unless the plot truly requires the whole crew

Next, I want to update the setting. It'll still be in Atlanta, of course, with all the magic, colors, and bendiness of the original series. However, the story won't happen in Westley Middle School; the kids are high-schoolers now. It's a good excuse to:

give them new outfits and hairstyles.

have more leeway in writing their personalities.

make them better singers.

expand their instrument range.

Besides being taller, the height differences between the characters will also change. Li'l D will get pretty big, so he becomes "Mid'l D". He also starts sporting a vest like Sunny. Kim and Kam grow to be the tallest, with Kam looking taller because he has better posture. Poor Philly Phil expended most of his growth spurt early and ends up being among the shortest. I'd keep Eddie shorter than Philly Phil's ears because he might look like Fred Jones if he got too tall.

Sunny probably won't appear as much since he's a middle school teacher. Maybe after his first class graduated, he graduates, too, and rejoins the music industry as an indie artist. That way, Sunny retains most of the freedom he had as a teacher. The only problem is, the plot of Class Of 3000 generally revolved around Sunny's unique music lessons, so if he's not their teacher anymore... 🤔

Or maybe Sunny won't have to appear often because he's already imparted pretty much everything he knows to the kids, who have become teenagers capable of exuding Sunny's energy on their own.

Anyway, I like making the joke that no one in Class Of 3000 is straight, and I'd totally love for everyone to be queer. I'm not done thinking through my headcanons, though; I just finished revisiting the series.
