🌾 Describe your OC through the eyes of someone absolutely head-over-heels in love with them.

He might be a little on the small side, for a demon, though he’s hardly easy to overlook. His skin matches the sky, and his eyes outshine any gold coin. Any treasure pales in comparison. His blue slitted eyes may make him nervous, but just make him look adorable before something he enjoys. His long, messy brown curls frame his face like a painting. His little smiles shine like the sun. The dangerous stinger at the end of his tail is a token of how he’s not to be taken lightly, though his kindness rivals the saints. He’s the most gentle, most careful, most handsome demon one will ever lay eyes on. Anyone who does not treasure him is more foolish than a court jester.

Tall, dark, and brooding, he makes quite the imposing figure. But his grumpy expression and sharp jawline don’t hide malice. Speak to him, and one learns quickly that he’s anything but mean. His heart nearly has more gold than his eyes. His impressive strength doesn’t overshadow his gentleness, and his sternness gives way easily to softness. A touch of pink on his fluffy hair and smooth feathered wings makes a gorgeous contrast against black and white skin. Sharp horns show he has the means to defend himself, even as he keeps to himself. Lonely, but safe. Despite his scars and his sharp edges... he feels so... safe. Like home. Exactly like home.

💐 How does your OC handle being unwell or forced to rest in bed? Who cares for them and in what ways? Does your OC enjoy being doted on or are they a terrible patient? Reversed: is your OC good at taking care of others who are ill or in need?

Ahahaha, that’s a perfect ask for clancy if I ever saw one XD

Generally? He’s miserable the whole time. Even if he gets sick super often, he hates it. He loathes every second he has to spend recuperating instead of attending to his shop/work/etc. Like. He’ll do his best to take care of himself, dw. He’s just gonna complain the entire time. And be back on his feet the very second he’s feeling better HFJFJJD

Until the rest of the squad shows up and gets stuck at his place, he’s the only one taking care of himself. Once they do, tho, Beri takes very good care of him!!! He’ll bring him blankets/wet cloths/turn off the lights for him to try a snack... whatever clancy needs, he’ll do it. And he’s very convincing about it.

The only person Clancy’s a good patient for is Beri. Otherwise, you’re gonna have to fight him to keep him in bed/resting. He haaaates having to rely on other people for health related problems. He feels like since he knows his body, nobody else should be poking around. Beri’s just. Too nice for him to resist. He’s got killer puppy eyes, man!!!

Aaand as for reverse! Yeah!!! Bc he’s had to deal with so much of his own bullshiz, he’s actually super good at taking care of sick people. He’s got a great bedside manner (if u can get past the fact that he’s 6’6” without horns and kiiiinda looks like the grim reaper in the right light)

Clancy:

I’ve probably explained this before, but the reason he can’t fly is cuz the muscles in his right wing got all messed up by a lightning strike. The combo of scar tissue and nerve damage means he can’t extend or move his wing very fast, which makes flight impossible :(

That being said, he does like to go stand up on top of high places during a windy day. Jus so he can feel air on his feathers. Sometimes he can kinda glide (like toothless when he was tethered to a stump)

The eye on his right wing is blind, but his left one’s fine

He absolutely does the “pupils get bigger when he sees something he likes” and he looks like a big dumb cat every time

His tailtip twitches if he’s annoyed

If he’s using a lot of magic, his eyes will turn white! Likewise, if he’s using a lot of dark magic, they’ll turn black with silver slit pupils. Spooky boi

His mom taught him to sew, and his angel parent would sneak him pattern books from the surface. Together, his parents basically got him into plushie crafting.

He’s not fond of caves

The easiest way to get him sick is to get him worked up (ex: too angry, scare him bad enough, panic, etc)

Beri:

While he knows he needs dark magic to live, he hates how it’s used, and how it can hurt people. This makes him extremely reluctant to go out and find ways to get some. Especially since the stuff he needs it can’t be his own/demon created dark magic, it has to come from another source.

While mushrooms do make him feel full, they don’t actually give him any nutritional value! The kinda demon he is will only get the energy they need from dark magic.

He starts eating properly once he meets clancy. Since he accidentally curses things and coughs up tons of dark stuff on the regular, beri’s got a stable source of food that he won’t feel bad about using

Sometimes Beri can help out clancy when he’s sick, too! If it’s a dark magic buildup making him unwell, Beri can jus. Pull out the extra. Makes clancy better instantly.

While he can put on a brave n confident face in his shop, but he’s a v anxious n shy dude outside it.

The better he eats, the more potent the venom in his tail becomes! It can go from mildly numbing and making people woozy to near lethal and a strong hallucinogen. Spooky!!!

He’s incredibly resourceful, and can either turn all those useless trinkets he trades for into valuable objects, or can find someone who’s collecting em n would pay a pretty penny. Fancy.

Due to his super sheltered upbringing, he’s actually not that great at reading subtle social cues. He’s just really good at pretending he knows what he’s doing

Most of his knowledge of manners/etc came from books, actually. He loved reading books abt fancy nobles n high fantasy! Hence why he acts so formal.

That, and he’s just a polite n civil dude. Ain’t see no logic behind jus bein rude for no reason.

All that being said!!! He can be pretty intimidating once u put it together with his 6’6” height n horns n all that! But he’s a big sweetheart once u get past it.

He likes tea and braiding his hair and dressing up fancy and has a clearing where he exercises in the woods

He’s buff as frick and built his shop himself

He’s not got the best grip on his magic, so sometimes he ends up cursing stuff on accident. He has a black market shop where he’ll advertise and sell cursed plushies as a result.

He misses flying a lot more than he’d admit :(

He absolutely hates being sick, which sucks cuz he gets sick easy/often

May or may not have gone to the afterlife once. Perhaps. All he might’ve gotten is a cool scar so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
