See You in My 19th Life (2023)
Tumblr media
I unabashedly love this show. The actors, the characters, the way it was shot, the convoluted dramatic plot that seems to bend back on itself, it all works for me. But you have to keep in mind that this is not a romcom: it's a weepy dramedy with big romantic feels.
What worked
This cast is so great. Beautiful people acting out big feelings while telling a good story. The cinematography was excellent, restrained when it needed to be and leaning hard into the fantasy to tell the story in other places. The plot didn't always make logic sense, but the writing was very good at getting across the feelings it wants you to feel.
What Didn't Work
Some of the musical cues bothered me, especially when it tried to play up this big mystery about Kang Min-gi. (Was he a bad guy? Yes. Did he deserve his own sinister background music when he came on screen? No.) Also, there were a few logic breaks that I feel like would have been ironed out if they'd had 16 episodes instead of 12. Finally, I'm not an expert, but people who have read the webtoon it was based on were disappointed with some of the departures from the original story. None of this bothered me, because it had so many high moments.
The Performances
Shin Hye-sun as (19th lifer) Ban Ji-eum. I would die for this character. I would love to see her play a short season of the Korean version of Doctor Who, because she would nail that role. It wasn't just the moments of a beautiful person looking sad about drama, she played the comic parts well, she played the angry parts well, she was downright weird at times in a way that was unsettling, and that totally worked for this character. I now have to go back and see everything this actor has been in before now.
Ahn Bo-hyun as (sad rich boi) Moon Seo-ha. This actor was also really good. He had to play it straight and stoic through much of the series, and that could come across as wooden in some scenes, but then they would let him loose in a scene and it was amazing to watch. His chemistry with Shin Hye-sun was so good, as well.
Ha Yoon-kyung as (spring sunshine) Yoon Cho-won. I loved her in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, and this is even better. Her best role yet. The second lead couple in this was (somewhat) less emotional, and that made the slow burn more enjoyable in some ways. But I really loved the scenes with Cho-won and Ji-eum. Just as much fun to watch as the romantic scenes.
Ahn Dong-goo as (the driver) Ha Do-yoon. Somehow, this guy had to be more stoic than Ahn Bo-hyun's character, which made the moments when the emotions leaked out of him even more electric. I wish we'd had a few more episodes to get some happy romantic moments towards the end of the series, but he was still great to watch on screen and did an excellent job.
Cha Chung-hwa as (the niece) Kim Ae-kyung. She was good in Hometown Cha x 3, but I would riot if something bad happened to her character in this drama. Did I riot? Watch and find out!
Lee Si-woo as (the little brother) Ha Do-jin. A delightful character played really well by Lee Si-woo. It was always a fun scene when he showed up.
Lee Chae-min as (one weird guy) Kang Min-gi. I always felt unsettled when this guy was in a scene. In case you had doubts about the guy, he had creepy music following him around the entire series, but the actor didn't really need it.
Kang Myung-joo as (the sad mother) Jo Yoo-seon. I really loved her performances even though they were usually the saddest scenes. She had so few lines, and managed to do alot with them.
Bae Hae-sun as (evil stepmom) Jang Yeon-ok. I especially disliked her. The actor did a great job of playing a shameless, entitled backstabber. Nice to see her get a bigger role (liked her in It's okay to not be okay), even if it is as someone not very nice.
Baek Seung-cheol as (all time bad dad) Ban Hak-su. I hated this character so much, which shows the actor did a great job.
Moon Dong-hyuk as (bad brother) Ban Dong-woo. I loathed and pitied this character, overall another good performance.
Kim Si-a as (the 18th lifer) Yoon Joo-won. She did a very good job in some tough scenes. I'm always amazed at how good some of these young actors are.
Park So-yi as (the young 19th lifer) Ban Ji-eum. Very good in the episodes she showed up. Was fun seeing her onscreen opposite Ahn Bo-hyun.
Lee Han-na as (mystery girl) Han-na. They should have done more with this character or figured out how to do without her completely. They just didn't have the episode time to do her justice. Overall, an okay actor that was completely overshadowed by the other actors.
Seo-ha's Family. I'm usually indifferent to chaebol corporate nonsense, but the actors did an excellent job of making you feel like part of the family. A terrible family, that treated Seo-ha terribly. The uncle (played by Lee Hae-young) was a standout, but they were all good in their own way, including the step-brother.
The past lives. I really enjoyed the different past lives. They didn't always have alot of lines, but they still made you feel something as you got little snapshots of harrowing moments in their lives.
The bad rich boy society guys. Honorable mention. I didn't always know their names, but every scene where they mistreated Ha Do-yoon's character was still infuriating, and that was on the actors as much as the writing.
TL;DR
This show is something special. I highly recommend it if you have any kind of interest in the premise. I will definitely be rewatching it.

One of the most original time-travel thrillers since 12 Monkeys. A brilliant subversion of the Time Paradox trope, with enough plot twists to keep you entertained until well after the movie is finished. Predestination is an amazing movie with great performances from Ethan Hawke and Sarah Snook. It’s a movie that will feel like Inception, when it comes to messing with your mind and barely anyone has heard of it. It is highly underrated and unknown, sadly.
4. Train to Busan (2016)

A zombie virus breaks out and catches up with a father as he is taking his daughter from Seoul to Busan, South Korea’s second-largest city. Watch them trying to survive to reach their destination, a purported safe zone.
The acting is spot-on; the set pieces are particularly well choreographed. You’ll care about the characters. You’ll feel for the father as he struggles to keep his humanity in the bleakest of scenarios.
It’s a refreshingly thrilling disaster movie, a perfect specimen of the genre.
3. Serenity (2005)

Serenity is a futuristic sci-fi film that serves as a feature-length continuation of the story-line from the TV program Firefly (2002–2003). The story revolves around the captain (Nathan Fillion) and crew of the titular space vessel that operate as space outlaws, running cargo and smuggling missions throughout the galaxy. They take on a mysterious young psychic girl and her brother, the girl carrying secrets detrimental to the intergalactic government, and soon find themselves being hunted by a nefarious assassin (Chiwetel Ejiofor). The first feature-length film from Joss Whedon (The Avengers), Serenity is a lively and enjoyable adventure, replete with large-scale action sequences, strong characterizations and just the right touch of wry humor. An enjoyable viewing experience that stands alone without demanding that you have familiarity with the original program beforehand.
2. Sorry to Bother You (2018)
Genre: Comedy, Fantasy, Science Fiction
Actor: Armie Hammer, Danny Glover, David Cross, Ed Moy, Forest Whitaker, James D. Weston II, Jermaine Fowler, John Ozuna, Kate Berlant, Lakeith Stanfield, Lily James, Marcella Bragio, Michael X. Sommers, Molly Brady, Omari Hardwick, Patton Oswalt, Robert Longstreet, Rosario Dawson, Steven Yeun, Teresa Navarro, Terry Crews, Tessa Thompson, Tom Woodruff Jr., Tony Toste, W. Kamau Bell
Director: Boots Riley
Tumblr media
In the year of the Netflix TV Show Maniac, another absurdist title stole critics’ hearts. Sorry to Bother You is a movie set in an alternate reality, where capitalism and greed are accentuated. Lakeith Stanfield (Atlanta) is a guy called Cassius who struggles to pay his bills. However, when at a tele-marketing job an old-timer tells him to use a “white voice”, he starts moving up the ranks of his bizarre society. A really smart movie that will be mostly enjoyed by those who watch it for its entertaining value, and not so much for its commentary. It is like a Black Mirror episode stretched into a movie.
1. Ex Machina (2015)
Genre: Drama, Science Fiction
Actor: Alex Garland, Alicia Vikander, Chelsea Li, Claire Selby, Corey Johnson, Domhnall Gleeson, Elina Alminas, Gana Bayarsaikhan, Oscar Isaac, Sonoya Mizuno, Symara A. Templeman, Symara Templeman, Tiffany Pisani
Director: Alex Garland
Rating: R

Ex Machina is the directorial debut of Alex Garland, the writer of 28 Days Later (and 28 Weeks Later). It tells the story of Caleb (Domhnall Gleeson from About Time), an IT developer who is invited by a billionaire CEO to participate in a groundbreaking experiment — administering a Turing test to a humanoid robot called Ava (Alicia Vikander). Meeting the robot with feelings of superiority at first, questions of trust and ethics soon collide with the protagonist’s personal views. While this dazzling film does not rely on them, the visual effects and the overall look-feel of Ex Machina are absolutely stunning and were rightly picked for an Academy Award. They make Ex Machina feel just as casually futuristic as the equally stylish Her and, like Joaquin Phoenix, Gleeson aka Caleb must confront the feelings he develops towards a machine, despite his full awareness that ‘she’ is just that. This is possibly as close to Kubrick as anyone got in the 21st century. Ex Machina is clever, thrilling, and packed with engaging ideas.

Im Soo Hyang and BLACKPINK Jennie: The Secret Behind Their Friendship
Tumblr media
Im Soo Hyang and BLACKPINK Jennie are two of the most popular celebrities in South Korea, but did you know that they are also close friends and furmoms? In a recent radio interview, the actress revealed how she met the idol-actress and how they bond over their love for dogs.
How Im Soo Hyang and Jennie Met
Tumblr media
(Photo : Singles Magazine's Instagram) Im Soo Hyang and Jennie first met on the set of the variety show “Village Survival, the Eight” in 2018. The show was a mystery-themed program that featured eight celebrities who had to solve clues and find hidden money in a rural village. Im Soo Hyang and Jennie were part of the cast, along with Yoo Jae Suk, Yang Se Hyung, Jang Do Yeon, Son Dam Bi, Kang Ki Young, and Song Kang. The show aired for two seasons, and during that time, Im Soo Hyang and Jennie became close friends. They showed their chemistry and friendship on screen, as they teamed up to solve puzzles, played games, cooked meals, and shared stories. They also had a lot of fun moments, such as when Im Soo Hyang teased Jennie for being scared of bugs, or when Jennie helped Im Soo Hyang with her makeup.
Tumblr media
(Photo : Im Soo Hyang Official Instagram) The two also supported each other’s careers. Im Soo Hyang attended BLACKPINK’s concert in Seoul in 2018, while Jennie sent a coffee truck to the set of Im Soo Hyang’s drama “Graceful Family” in 2019. They also exchanged gifts, such as when Jennie gave Im Soo Hyang a large flower pot and some Gentle Monster goodies in 2022.
How Im Soo Hyang and Jennie Bond Over Their Dogs
Tumblr media
(Photo : Im Soo Hyang Official Instagram) Another thing that Im Soo Hyang and Jennie have in common is their love for dogs. Im Soo Hyang raises three bichon frise dogs named Aki, Ori, and Rai, while Jennie has two dogs named Kai and Kuma. Kai sadly passed away earlier this year, leaving Jennie heartbroken. Im Soo Hyang shared that she often visits Jennie’s house with her dogs, and they have playdates together. She also revealed that her dogs participated in a photoshoot with BLACKPINK for their Season’s Greetings Calendar. On October 2nd, Im Soo Hyang appeared on Park Ha Sun’s radio program “Cinetown” and talked about her friendship with Jennie. She said: “Aki, Ori and I were invited to Jennie’s Season’s Greetings Calendar photoshoot. We’re both furmoms. My dogs took photos together with BLACKPINK. It’s an honor to my family. I regret not bringing Rai with me.”
Tumblr media
(Photo : Im Soo Hyang Instagram) BLACKPINK Jennie with Im Soo Hyang's dog She also mentioned that she met Jennie through “Village Survival, the Eight” and that they are very similar in personality. “We’re both shy at first, but once we get close, we’re very talkative and playful. We also have similar tastes in food and fashion.” Im Soo Hyang also praised Jennie for being a kind and humble person. “She’s very sweet and considerate. She always takes care of me and asks me how I’m doing. She’s also very down-to-earth and doesn’t act like a superstar.”
What Im Soo Hyang and Jennie Are Up To Now
Tumblr media
(Photo : Im Soo Hyang Instagram) Im Soo Hyang is currently busy with her acting projects. She recently starred in the historical fantasy drama “Kokdu: Season of Deity” alongside Kim Jung Hyun, Kim Da Som, Ahn Woo Yeon, Kim In Kwon, and Cha Chung Hwa. The drama aired from January 27 to March 24, 2023 on MBC TV. She is also set to lead the upcoming romance drama “Beauty and the Devoted” with Ji Hyun Woo. The drama is written by Kim Sa Kyung, who previously worked with Im Soo Hyang on “Young Lady and Gentleman” and “Blow Breeze”. The drama tells the story of an actress who falls from grace overnight and a producing director who helps her rise again through love. The drama is expected to air in early 2024 on KBS2.
Tumblr media
(Photo : Ji Hyun Woo Instagram) Jennie is also busy with her activities as a member of BLACKPINK. The group recently celebrated their seventh anniversary on August 8th with a special live broadcast for their fans. They also released their movie “BLACKPINK: The Movie” on August 4th as part of their “4+1 PROJECT”. Jennie is also preparing for her solo comeback, which is rumored to be released in October or November this year. She debuted as a solo artist in 2018 with her hit song “SOLO”, which has over 700 million views on YouTube. Day 2 in Korea - Friday 28 July 2023
Eonnie Oppa let me sleep in, the kids were busy going in and out for activities, I was with Oppa. As he cleaned etc, we talked and he left, gave the key of the house as I planned to exercise outside the apartment. I went out, observing the neighbourhood, walked, and it was so hot. I went back home, survived, enjoyed the quiet apt and did pilates. Rest for a while then the kids came, we are learning hangeul together. Sooyi was so excited to teach me and bring me many many books to learn, sooo cute nae sarang. Seoyi hates it tho, she said na gongbu shiro!! wkwkkww... The kids had lunch preped by Taekyun Oppa.
Then oppa brought us to book cafe Milkbook in Paju as I wished. It was sososo nice. Oppa really get my idea, the place is just my dream, what I always wanted as I saw instagram. On the car was so cute already, we all sat at the back but the kids were being so noisy so Oppa said Marsella appe, sit in front with me hahaha.. we really had a great time, ordered ice cream, coffee, read and walk around together, took pictures with my camera, oppa warned the kids as they told me to keep studying but he said Imo want to swui (rest) hahaha.. then the kids beg to buy cookies and books to me buy the father took over. I spent quality time with Seoyi as well, read pallgang moori, we took turn taking pictures, i love you so much chung seo yi.
Then afterwards we head home because we need to prep for Friday worship. But i was starving then Oppa cooked ramyeon, the best one, also served with halmeoni's kimchi which is the best!! I remember we talked a lot and learned for Indo performance together.
We head out, listened to sung si kyung (as I watched hangang n yeoudo sign: jjinj hangukidaaa), we talked in the car, dropped the kids to tung tung kimbap, the head to Oppa's studio in the church. we brought our shirts also Eonnie's, and I watched him work on songs SO COOL! Seoyi called me as we became Katalk friends hahaha.. they came back and we're heading to the rehearsal room where I saw many familiar faces. Han Jibsanim, Ha Jangronim, Mi Yeong Onni, etc and we're histerically reunited. The youth also come one by one, Jongsu, Zion, Hyemi, GwangHui with his laptop, EunJung Onni, Yoora, EunHye, Seungmin, Hakman, Kiwan Sieun, DongHwan, Yeseung Yeneung, Eun gu, Haon, KyeongJu, Haram, Hye Yeon, and many others. Everybody looked busy just finished from work though.
We rehearsed so cutely, with motion etc, haha hehe, trying to remember the lyrics, put on our position, n turned out me was put in front next to Yoora, Sieun, GwangHui and we had to hold microphone omg what is this.. Then we head to the main hall church, rehease very cutely and helped by the performance team, remember our mic, correcting our choreography, trying to get ready and 1st song that was sang was the 1st korean worship I downloaded during my father was sick in the hospital back in 2020 (merinding gak sih -0- pengen nangis tersedu kalo inget kala itu ga kebayang bisa bolak balik korea ky sekarang gini, but I know that's when God started to work in koreanness DNA in me HAHHA).
Then Han Jibsanim asked us to get ready and went to the backstage on the 3rd song. And we watched out Bali video mission for the first time with bitjereun nun (mata berbinar/shining eyes), teasing each others WOOOOOO on different part, feeling blessed it happened, unity, thankful, proud of God's work, nostalgic and mixed feeling. I remember every second of it, I want to keep it in my heart forever. I love you guys so much, God thank you for this new family and our strong bond, please keep this and the fire for the gospel forever.
Then time to show hahaha, it went well i guess and i enjoyed and smiled. I think it's what Chung Eun Ju muksanim meant by we shouldn't give up in our fate - that I was born shy like this, ugly or fat, but with God we can change everything, being used to be a light, brave, attractive and kind compassionate, willing to get out even though im an extreme extrovert. So God, all the glory belong to you again, please keep me humble and under Your grace. We then listened about the missionaries' work in Batam, SG, Malay with Maurice muksanim that I heard the next day as well.
After service I said to Eunjung Onni that I will go out with Yoora's soon which is Hakman n Gwang Hui. We're hanging out to watch movie together at 11 pm omg, we first stopped in front of the church, insa: Yujong, Seokmin, Yejin, Taeyon, Ryan, everybody is line 91, etc and we had fun walking to the cinema. Hak man bought me movie ticket and I bought uksusu drink as well. They challenged me to understand the movie hahaaa. Gwanghui on the way keep questioning how can I improve my hangukmal, so cute, I spoke to Yejin and how she used to be Yusosu's seonsaengnim. I sat next to Yoora, the seat was nice and we had adventure inside the building as well, trying to get the elevator etc, and going out was a hastle but chemita like an adventure. Hahahehe and we went seperately, going back to the church as Yoora parked there, went to toilet, pyeonijeom to buy vit c n snaks, nice ahjussi then we head to onni oppa house. Yoora continue to work while I was so exhausted and went to sleep. She used Yui's pyjama can you imagine how cute hahaha.. that's the end of my packed 2nd day..

Parasite Review
After months of anticipation and dodging spoilers online, I finally got to see Parasite, a movie that took not just the Oscars but the whole world by storm. From the very first scene, I knew I was diving into something more than a simple film. Parasite is not just a narrative; it's a social dissection. It places you right in the heart of the lives of two starkly different families and the intricate dynamics between them. As the story plays out, you're left contemplating the underlying themes: social disparity, class struggle, and the disturbing reality of a world divided. The beauty of Parasite lies in its ambiguity, allowing each viewer to derive their unique interpretations and conclusions about its socio-political commentary.
The film opens with the Kim family, living in a semi-basement, scavenging for Wi-Fi, and folding pizza boxes for a meagre living. This introduction captures their humour, resilience, and the everyday struggles of life in the lower classes of society. Then enters the wealthy Park family, living in an architecturally magnificent house, fully immune to the struggles the Kims grapple with daily. The clever, almost parasitic, maneuvering of the Kims to integrate into the Park household provides comic relief and heightens the drama. This dynamic contrast between the two families lays the groundwork for an unpredictable series of events that exposes the stark class divide; something we should probably pay more attention to. The characters in this movie are a masterclass in depth and complexity. Every character, regardless of screen time, is thoughtfully crafted and they all symbolize different aspects of society. Ki-woo, played by the exceptional Choi Woo-shik, personifies the ambitious youth trapped in societal constraints, while the mother, Chung-sook, portrayed by the outstanding Jang Hye-jin, embodies resilience. However, it is Song Kang-ho, who steals the show as Ki-taek, the father figure whose tough exterior masks a man grappling with his reality.
The Park family's portrayal is equally nuanced. Yeon-kyo, played by Jo Yeo-jeong, is not a mere caricature of the clueless wealthy housewife, but a woman navigating her privileged world with her insecurities. The enigmatic housekeeper Moon-gwang, portrayed by Lee Jung-eun, delivers a haunting performance, adding another layer of complexity to the narrative. Parasite takes a sharp turn midway, delivering a gut-punch that shakes you to your core. The movie's climax, set against a picturesque backdrop, descends into an unforgettable sequence of events. A beautifully orchestrated chaos that keeps you guessing, questioning the unfolding reality. The build-up to this climax, with the film's remarkable use of visual metaphors and sound, completely engulfs you in its atmospheric storytelling and the intricate emotional landscapes of its characters.
One of the things that made this movie so captivating for me was, even though the storyline is quite ominous, gloomy, and somewhat dark, I was completely drawn in from the beginning to the end. No other movie has ever given me such a rush of adrenaline. I believe that Bong Joon-ho achieved this by beautifully executing his filmmaking technique. As Bong wrote the script, he made mock-ups of the houses. After paying close attention, I noticed that there were front-facing windows in each house that mirrored the windows in the neighboring house. The poor family's window is small, and they can see a drunken man urinating. An expansive window was built for the rich family which faces a lovely garden. The poor family also lives underground while the rich family lives on a high hill. Bong used High and Low shots to engage the Kim family. We look up at the son as the tutor, and the perspective flips. It was Kyung-pyo's lighting, as well as Bong's framing and shooting style, that helped convey the tone of the film very effectively for me. A lack of sunshine intensified the contrast between the rich and poor which Kyung pyo played with as a way to draw attention to the differences between the rich and the poor. Most of the interior of the rich family's mansion is bathed in warm, natural light throughout the day. Only a small window lets sunlight into the poor family's basement.
One other thing that truly stayed with me long after Parasite ended was how it presented social disparity in an ingenious and haunting style. The film is brilliant in the way it holds up a mirror to society, forcing us to confront uncomfortable realities that we often ignore. Even though I believe movies that deal with such issues of classism and social injustice often don't convey a larger message for a better world, Parasite still stands out for its frank and accurate portrayal of the human condition.
Like an intricate piece of art, Parasite demands reflection and introspection. Its genius lies in its moral ambivalence, refraining from spoon-feeding answers, thereby compelling its viewers to question, analyze, and understand the complex layers of societal structures. Much like life, there isn't an absolute right or wrong, good or evil in Parasite; it’s a compelling reflection of the shades of grey we live in. Director Bong Joon-ho masterfully raises difficult questions about class division, survival, and the human condition but leaves the interpretations to the viewer.
Only and only because of my love for feel-good movies, I give this movie a score of 9.5/10 :)

Must read: what an article👏
[HighZium] '#BigMouth' Lee Jong Suk, "The days I struggled to make Park Chang-ho will remain as special times"
Presence proved only by acting skills, praise poured out for the whole body
Park Chang-ho's A to Z captured by Lee Jong Suk! A feast of intense smoke
'Big Mouth' Lee Jong Suk solidified his presence with his overwhelming acting skills.
The MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'Big Mouth' (creators Jang Young-cheol and Jung Kyung-soon, scripted by Kim Ha-ram, directed by Oh Chung-hwan, produced by A-Story, Studio Dragon, and A-Man Project), which received attention as Lee Jong-suk's comeback, ended on the 17th. In order to express the spectacular narrative of the main character, Park Chang-ho, Lee Jong Suk, who performed a feast of intense acting, was praised.
'Big Mouth' has captivated viewers with a surprising development, repeating reversals in the setting of a huge hard-boiled noir worldview. Lee Jong Suk, who supported the weight of such a 'Big Mouth', threw out his whole body and poured out many famous scenes every day, leading to the popularity of the work. Park Chang-ho, not Lee Jong Suk, was completely assimilated with the character to an unimaginable extent and led the play, increasing immersion and persuasiveness. In addition, he received favorable reviews for perfectly creating his own character with an extraordinary sense of weight as he had to express dramatic psychology and situations.
Park Chang-ho's struggled survival story, who fell into a huge trap and lived in prison unjustly, met with Lee Jong-suk's delicate acting and shined even more. Amidst the countless threats at Gucheon Prison, the difficult and desperate struggle of the weak he showed enriched the emotional line of the play.
Furthermore, as the successor of Big Mouth, Lee Jong Suk showed his belief that he would pull out the roots of evil deeply entrenched in Gucheon City with heavy sincerity and solid acting skills. In the meantime, even the acting leadership that drew the perfect combination with the people who helped Big Mouth such as Mi-ho Ko (Yoon-ah Lim), Soon-tae Kim (Eui-shik Oh), and Jerry (Dong-yeon Kwak), again realized the trust in the name Lee Jong-suk.
In this way, Lee Jong Suk perfectly portrayed all aspects of Park Chang-ho, so he was able to fascinate the viewers of 'Big Mouth' every episode.
What does 'Big Mouth' mean to Lee Jong Suk? Lee Jong Suk said, “I think it was a work that was able to show a different side of me. Park Chang-ho was a big challenge for me as well.” “In addition to the diversity of genres such as action, melodrama, and noir, the characters themselves have three-dimensional aspects from a living lawyer to a genius con artist, a lawyer who realizes justice, and a loving husband. The days I struggled to create Park Chang-ho will remain as special times for me as well.”
On the other hand, the thrilling ending of each episode along with Lee Jong-suk's expression attracts attention. Regarding this, Lee Jong Suk said, "Personally, the ending of episode 1 is the most memorable. It is also the moment when Park Chang-ho's life is completely changed, and the narration that seems to speak directly to the viewers with eye contact made this drama more curious. It is more memorable because it is like a scene that strongly opened the beginning of the drama.”
Lee Jong Suk, who proved his true worth as a box office king by driving both the viewership ratings and the topicality of 'Big Mouth'. Regarding his feelings after finishing his comeback after 3 years, he said, “As it is a work that has met viewers after a long time, I also waited with half excitement and half worry before the broadcast.” expressed sincerity.
Finally, “I sincerely thank everyone who supported Changho until the very end. I hope this drama will be a good weekend friend for you this summer, which is more noisy than ever due to the sweltering heat and inclement weather.”
From resentment over evil trying to get out of frame, struggling to protect his family, and counterattacking against a privileged group that seizes power and commits corruption. Lee Jong Suk, who created numerous internal conflicts and crises of Park Chang-ho amidst the hardships that was raging with his tightly designed build-up hot performance, without hesitation. His ability to finish 'Big Mouth' at the end of a hot run was clearly demonstrated.
This is the reason why attention is focused on what kind of steps Lee Jong Suk, who left a meaningful result through 'Big Mouth' will continue.

As much as you’ve been waiting, let’s enjoy the ever more sparkling summer together. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! "You make me sparkle, I'll be your sparkle" 서로를 비춰주는 별하랑과 저의 관계 같아요~ 오래 기다려 주신 만큼 더욱더 반짝반짝한 여름 함께 보내요 진심으로 늘 고맙습니다! This fetching piece features sound like a refreshing soda pop, with its identity of hyper-vibe on top of a fast BPM around 160. Like the first sip of an ice cold drink on a hot summer day, the song expresses the clear and cool feeling of a cold and tangy pop. The fast mood could easily seem as light but by capturing the fast mood with Chung Ha’s strong voice, this cool and sparkle track was completed. The arpeggio of the analog synthesizer achieves harmony with the retro but trendy drumline, and by adding in the electric guitar, the chorus also realizes a tough but witty rich sound. And Chung Ha’s chameleonic changes in emotions corresponding with the lyrics can be a key point of this song. Like the lyrics, “You make me sparkle”, “I’ll be your sparkle”, Chung Ha’s ‘Sparkling’ will glitter up our summer moments. 🌹,😑,💘 and 💣
Ship that you have as an OTP 🌹 - One OTP? No, I do not roll that way. Have a few.
- Dong Ha x Ji Yeon (Witch’s Romance)
- Man Weol x Chan Seong (Hotel Del Luna)
- Cindy x Happiness (and Seung Chan if he brings her aforementioned happiness) (The Producers)
- Dong Gu x Yoon Ah, Du Shik x Soo Ah, bb Sol x Happiness (Laughter in Waikiki) but also the 6 of them being friends thats my OTP as well. Or OT6 +bb.
- Yul x Ha Kyung (Chief Kim)
- Ship that you’re indifferent to 😑 - I liked Shim Cheong and Dam Ryeong (The Legend of The Blue Sea) when they were all historical and mermaid-y. I couldn't care less about them in the modern era tho. I mean, they were cute but like oats also is nice when you are hungry no?
- The second pair from HDL, the ghost bellboy and the schoolgirl intern. Once again, individually, okay only but together, the human equivalent of a yawn.
Ship that is unpopular but you still like: 💘-
In terms of actual canon ships, I really like:
Ok Da Jung and Nam Jung Gi from Ms Temper and Nam Jung Gi - They had a very nice mutual respect thing going on and Jung Gi really grew a spine after coming into contact with Da Jung and doing some much needed growing up and idk, standing up for himself. This is not a drama I see recommended often, or even mentioned at all but I do really like it and like them. Also Woo Joo x Da Jung’s admiration and approval tbh. They were so fucking cute.
Ship that pisses you off: 💣 -
- Cracks knuckles. It would def have to be Man Weol x Chung Myeong. The rage it makes me feel. ofc I am not angry at people who ship it cos you know, it is what it is, but omg, the fact that it got so much storyline and contributed to Man Weol’s suffering and was supposed to be something I was supposed to sympathize with? NO THANK YOU.
- Gang Tae x Mun Yeong - any affection I felt for them was cos the actors did a good job but omg the thought of them gives me hives, even more in hindsight. It’s not like ppl dont deserve love and being happy but those two deserved some serious therapy and healing before they could even the beautiful relationship the drama wanted to showcase them as.
