I live!
Ah, sorry for being MIA. Real life has been so busy for so long now and I really needed a break from social media---BUT I logged back into tumblr because I started working on a few ChrisMiyu fics for 2/2.
My WIPs look like this so far:
Actor Miyuki, Med School Chris...?
A College AU...?
A sexy fic...?
A Miyuki POV for my Yakuza AU...?
As you can see I'm not super confident about these WIPs. Lol I have no idea what I'll be able to actually finish, but I've missed these two. T.T
Wish me luck!

ChrisMiyu Day 2019 is coming February 2, 2019!
ChrisMiyu Day (2/2) celebrates all aspects and variations of Chris and Miyuki’s relationship, from teammates and rivals to friends to lovers to anything else you can think of (canon and AU equally welcome). The only limit to this challenge is your own imagination.
On February 2, 2019 we invite you to share art, comics, cosplay, fic, fic recs, gifs/gif sets, graphics, headcanons, imagines, meta, playlists, podcasts, scans of official art (books, magazines, etc.), scanlations and translations (that are your own), vids, literally anything you can think of featuring Chris and Miyuki!
This year we have an optional theme: “Coming Home”
In addition to the theme, we also have some optional activities planned:
A prompts database (anyone who wants to can submit prompts in advance for those who want inspiration for their works) Separate SFW and NSFW prompts memes, hosted at AO3 (links and details coming later in December).
Bingo cards which will be offered in the following themes: AU, baseball, popular tropes, and nsfw.
A crack collaboration/blind round robin (details coming in January).
The theme and the activities are purely optional and not at all necessary to participate. If there’s a ChrisMiyu something you want to do, we want you to do it --- and to share it on February 2nd!
Full details are available on the “About ChrisMiyu Day” page on our tumblr (which we can’t link to at the moment because of how tumblr is handling posts with links --- but you can click on the “Source” of this post, and we’ll also put the link in a reply comment). :D

In His Arms - ChrisMiyu
Word count: 563
Happy kinda late ChrisMiyu day
He couldn't find it. No matter where he looked, Miyuki couldn't find it. As a result, he was ready to tear apart his room to look for his favorite shirt. There wasn't any mix up in the laundry, Miyuki always made sure that he had the entire laundry room to himself whenever he washed his clothes. He searched his drawers at least three times and still nothing.
It was unusual for the catcher to be so hung up over something material that. Sure, Miyuki was protective over his gear and his precious pillow, but a piece of clothing that wasn't his uniform? Hell, he cared more about that shirt than his uniform; he wasn't worried about losing his number. Only one person could challenge Miyuki like that. That's why that shirt was so important to him. And if he was asked, he would never admit to being sentimental over it either.
Thinking back, it was probably the fondest memory he had with the older catcher. And since Chris graduated, it was even more imperative that Miyuki find his favorite shirt. He didn't even want to think what would happen if he couldn't. Miyuki laid down on his bunk nearly defeated. Despite all the memories and constantly texting him, not having that little piece of Chris hurt.
Honestly, it was an accident the way he got the shirt in the first place. Okay, maybe it wasn't an accident and he was totally figured out, but Miyuki will forever deny it. Maybe he wasn't as slick as he thought he was. Maybe he made a miscalculation in his plans. Either way, Miyuki was acutely aware that there's always one person who could see right through him.
It happened freshman year right after coming to Seido. Any chance he could, Miyuki would start a conversation with Chris. To be able to be on the same team as someone as amazing with Chris was like a dream come true. At first, they would talk game and pitching strategies especially when it was apparent that Chris wasn't going to be healed in time for any of the games. And despite all of his struggles with physical therapy, Chris still found the time to talk to Miyuki. He couldn't remember when his admiration for his senior grew into something more, but when he saw a chance, Miyuki took it.
That part was the honest mistake. Miyuki would often help Chris with his laundry while his shoulder was healing. It wasn't until he was changing before dinner that Miyuki realized one of his shirts had fallen into his hamper. He had every intention of returning it at first, but forgot after being rushed to dinner by his roommates. A week later, it was the last clean shirt he had before laundry day. Miyuki was just going to wear the one from the day before, but when he picked up the red sleeved tee to return, he noticed that it still had Chris's scent. And of course, Chris noticed immediately when his junior came down to the laundry room in one of his old shirts. The next part is what threw the young catcher off.
It looks good on you, keep it.
Smiling, Miyuki rolled over, spotting the red sleeve on the edge of his bed. He reached out to grab it and fell asleep with Chris's shirt in his arms.

Happy ChrisMiyu Day to all of you! <3
Life's been a butt lately, but I couldn't just let this day pass without posting a little something. :') Have a very strange soulmate verse with a casual age swap between our beloved (former) first years and third years. I kinda dig the idea of Miyuki being Chris' senpai. :'D
      Sweet Golden Taste
There were exactly two kinds of people in the world - Miyuki used to think.
The ones belonging to the average; people without an aura, who therefore weren't sticking out, and usually didn't want to. Miyuki knew that most people belonged to this group - not by choice but by chance ,- and watching them for the past 16 years from afar (since he'd barely ever interacted with any of them besides his father), he'd learned none of them seemed to ever be frustrated by their fate or the sheer lack of peculiarity.
Peculiarity, he repeated in his head. Yes, that's all it's been about with the other kind, those who were always surrounded by an aura, some weaker and some stronger, but all of them easily distinguishable by their unique kind of mark that was impossible to miss. He'd met a lot until this point, and it made him come to the conclusion that any aura was usually focused on one sense; seeing - mostly in all shades of colors -, smelling, feeling - by heat and cold -, and Miyuki could even remember meeting someone who'd triggered his tasting senses (although he preferred not to think about the constant bitterness on his tongue that had gotten strong enough to almost make him vomit).
He might've been wrong though. So, so entirely wrong.
"Are you alright?"
Miyuki blinked, slowly realizing that he must've been staring at this guy. Again, like he always did for some reason.
"Yes", he quickly said, "Thanks for asking, Takigawa..."
"Chris", the younger one said. "You can call me Chris."
"Yeah." Of course, the special first-year catcher people were having high hopes for. Miyuki seriously tried not to think about how this would possibly endanger his own position as the current catcher, because he was pretty sure that it would've become quickly visible due to his own aura (and even if it was very tempting, he didn't want to terrify their new member already -, he'd get to that point eventually anyway).
Still, he had to admit that this guy was... outstanding. Not really by his physical features that looked average at the very best. Possibly not even by his skills related to baseball (at least he wanted to think that despite knowing better), but...
His aura. His aura was everywhere and it seriously confused Miyuki. He could see a bright shade of gold surrounding him, a shimmer that almost gave him something... royal. Even his bright brown eyes seemed to have the same tone, that caused an immediate shiver when Miyuki dared to look at them longer than a moment. At least it distracted him from the constant taste of sweetness on his tongue. He couldn't say what it was, and usually he hated sweets altogether, but this was terrifyingly delicious, and the short thought of tasting him shot through his mind that irritated him enough to shake his head. He probably got too used by Kominato's constant sweet smell of bubble gum, he decided, swallowing hard.
Speaking of others: why was he even alone with this guy?
"Well, I guess I'll see you around", Miyuki said, closing the door to his locker with more force than intended and turning around, expecting his underclassman to wince or step away to let him pass. Strangely enough, Takigawa was still looking at him with a calm expression.
Too calm, he thought.
"I actually was hoping you'd have time. I've got a few questions concerning Sawamura-sepnai's and Furuya-senpai's pitching style. Since you've been primarily working with them, I assumed you'd know best when it comes to dealing with them."
Dealing with them? Yeah, he thought, probably exactly what he'd call it too. It was even harder to deal with their pitchers considering they were his upperclassmen. Sometimes Miyuki wondered how that was even possible when they were often acting like some first years.
"I was about to grab some score books." And he wasn't really in the mood of spending time with a first year, especially not one that everyone seemed to be so fond of, based on his talent and his personality that was basically the opposite of Miyuki's. Also---
Miyuki took a breath, shouldering his bag. He needed to get away from this aura, from this sweetness.
"That works for me."
"That's not what I..." Miyuki stopped when an invisible force seemed to take away his breath. His fingers gripped his bag stronger, and he could feel his senses sharpen even more by the sudden silence.
This wasn't the first time it happened; this feeling of being overwhelmed by the presence of the other, by his scent, a mixture of mint and grass, that shimmer that never failed to draw his eyes back to him. He was like a magnet, and Miyuki was the opposite pole, too close to get away and not able to repel.
Did Takigawa even notice his own aura? Was he doing this on purpose? And why is it that it always seemed like Miyuki was the one suffering from his presence that made him so hungry, so longing, so... irritated. Was he really the only one feeling this?
When he tried to ask Kuramochi, the shortstop had just given him a weird look as if he'd been asking something fairly obvious (which was no, he didn't feel anything unnatural emerging from Chris - at least nothing aside of the colorful aura everyone seemed to notice).
"Maybe it's your mate. Didn't they say that you'd feel something different about the aura of your mate once you meet them? You know... things others can't sense. I heard stories of people just feeling a strong pull towards the person too."
Miyuki's eyes widened at the realization.
"Shit."
He wasn't ready to actually bond with anyone. He knew he should want to, with everyone taking interest in other people, occasionally dating or just flirting, but this was something entirely different (and he wasn't even thinking about the fact that he'd never been interested in any kind of romantic relationship with anyone, let alone with someone he'd preferred to see as a threat).
"That's rude." Chris didn't even blink at the reaction, still looking at him with that calmness that only made Miyuki panic more. "But they told me that you'd be rude."
They...?
The younger averted his gaze and the pressure faded, leaving him with some space to take a breath. There were still no words leaving his lips, not when the other was so damn quiet and relaxed, looking like he was the older one to begin with.
"Kuramochi-senpai and Sawamura-senpai. When I found out that you're my mate, I asked them for their advice on how to approach you. It wasn't really easy since you've been constantly avoiding me since our first formal encounter. I apologize if you wanted to keep this a secret."
"Hah." Miyuki didn't notice how his knuckles had turned white nor the petty try of a fake smile on his face. "I think you're misjudging the situation. There's... there's no such thing as mates."
At least not for me.
"Oh”, he heard Chris say.
He really wasn't the best when it came to reading people outside of the field, but the way Chris' lips fell looked off, as if he was holding something in.
"So that's how it is."
Not really, Miyuki wanted to reply, but he decided not to speak, not to try and limit the damage, because Chris didn't look sad for too long, nor did he look particularly upset about this rather forceful rejection (or rather denial). It was almost as if he could read his mind.
But that was impossible.
Right...?
"Well, I assume I'll have to find someone else." Chris shouldered his bag.
"Yeah. I'm sure you'll find them." Someone who wasn't him. Someone who was going to give the first year what he was looking for. So not him. Anyone else but him. And until then, he'd have to learn to ignore his watering mouth and that constant feeling of wanting to be close to this guy. He’d managed up to this point already, keeping his distance as much as possible and only crossing paths when necessary. It would work again. It had to work again.
"I think you're misunderstanding, Miyuki-senpai."
It was that moment, when Chris looked at him again, catching him like he was a straight ball aimed right to the center - and Miyuki knew he was in deep trouble.
"I'm not going to give up on us being mates. I'll show you. That you belong to me."
The determination behind his words was too strong to ignore, and more than enough to make Miyuki believe that he'd stick to his words. Because after all, this guy's been under his skin since the first second. And that bastard knew damn well how to use it, leaving no doubt that Miyuki was bound to lose this fight. Perhaps not today or tomorrow, but he could feel that there’d be a day he’d give in to that gold, letting it emerge with his own aura Chris would call silver after Miyuki had always considered it being gray.

“Well now, that’s a coincidence,” Chris says.
Kazuya thinks his heart rate is awfully high, suddenly. “Yeah.”
It’s quiet for a moment, with just the quiet sounds rising up from the streets disturbing the air. It’s cold, Kazuya’s hands are absolutely freezing, but he’s not even thinking of going back inside.
He breathes. “Let’s meet.”

Title: Maybe things happen.
Chapter 1: Something Odd (Day 1 - Distance/Longing)
Characters: Miyuki Kazuya, Takigawa Chris Yuu
Relationship: Miyuki Kazuya x Takigawa Chris Yuu
Rating: General Audiences
Total Word Count: 1167
AO3
Event: @daiyarpwk2020
He took a deep breath. In and out. 5 seconds inhale, 5 seconds exhale. Each breath became a point of anchoring as he swayed dangerously on the field. If he focused he could probably hear his knees shaking from strain; if he listened to his body he might feel the exhaustion.
Instead he closed his eyes, head tilted back as he let the last of the setting sun wash over him. The grounds had long since emptied, practice ending hours ago, and even the remaining stragglers were taking solace in the air conditioning and relaxing baths. But still he stood, breathing in the atmosphere like it was some kind of drug that was his feeding through his veins via an IV.
Anyone else looking at him would be confused. A random highschooler simply standing on the baseball field? Not even in practice gear, but instead a third-year’s school uniform. He looked out of place, and in a way, he was. He was out of time, out of luck, and out of place. A cynical chuckle escaped his lips, hurting even as it left.
He opened his eyes, blinking through the light that smarted his eyes, and turned towards the hill. He was no longer alone. An upturn of his lips, not enough to be really called a smile, appeared on his face as the field gained another member. Maybe it was poignant that on his last day, the one who’d fought to fight him, who lost the chance to fight him, and then easily overshadowed him stood there. But even moreso, maybe it was gladdening that he wasn’t alone on his last day, that the sharp sting in his shoulder wasn’t his only company, that the radiating pain down to his wrist was coupled with that sharp smirk.
“Miyuki.” A soft utterance, followed by a simple nod. What else could define their relationship? Simple, and utterly complex.
He watched, waited really, as Miyuki titled his head to the side. Seemingly looking for something before replying. The self-satisfied smugness said that Miyuki found what he was looking for.
“Chris.” A chuckle coupled with a raised eyebrow as Miyuki glanced around the empty field. The usual smirk appeared.
With such company, he felt an urge to reach a caliber of performance. In everything. Be it on the field, or on the field. He sighed to himself, the urge building even more the longer Miyuki stared at him. “Last practice.” He turned away looking out towards home plate, and ignored the gaze that locked onto the side of his face. “Today was the third year’s final practice, a bit of homage from the coach.” He clenched his fist, again ignoring the flinch of his shoulder. He ripped his eyes away from the plate, glaring down at his shoes. “And yet, I’m on the sidelines. Because the chance of doing more damage before I leave?” He was bitter, his voice becoming harsh. “Too high.”
Most would become uncomfortable at his blunt words, taking the harshness as a cue to make their excuses and step away. But Miyuki revelled in the discomfort that others avoided. He took social cues as an instruction manual that one threw away without perusing. Rather than leaving, Miyuki simply laughed at his angry words.
“Chris-senpai, you’re very much like a grumpy kitten.”
The teasing lilt to Miyuki’s voice did nothing to help the incredulous look that passed over his face. A kitten? Lifting an eyebrow he stared at the younger man, hoping the lengthy pause would trigger a response or even an explanation. But Miyuki just chuckled again, and turned to stare out at the field.
“You’re leaving soon, aren’t you?” The joviality usually present in Miyuki’s voice was missing.
Chris just nodded as he knew that Rei-san had most likely spoken to Miyuki about his plans. With his shoulder the way it was, Chris had finally bowed to his father’s requests. There was a clinic in Los Angeles that had agreed to work with him for the next year. In a way it would be helpful as Chris had convinced his father of the value of going to a college there – baseball scholarship and all.
“We’re moving next month. Should give me enough time to pack up and head over.” Even if he was excited, having not been to the states in a couple of years, he knew there was a part of him that was anxious about the stark differences between Japan and the United States. Honestly, even the differences between Seidou and another school scared him. And if he wanted to be completely true to himself, the reality of not seeing some people for some time again scared him just as much.
“Keep in touch then senpai.” Miyuki’s smile softened the teasing start of his words, “I better not be hearing updates about you from Sawamura of all people!”
He laughed at that, knowing the pitcher would probably hound him for updates and info about his life in the US. “Alright, then I guess you better promise me one thing Miyuki.” He waited for the other catcher to face him fully before continuing. “I expect replies to all those messages with your own updates. I might know Seidou well, but I want to know more about you, captain.”
He walked away before Miyuki could reply but the dumbstruck look was enough. Chris chuckled once again, a common occurrence around Miyuki he presumed. Odd.
––
Miyuki: How was the flight senpai? Did you end up taking any of that sage advice Sawamura was dishing? Something about beans? (1:30 PM)
Pulling his suitcase from the luggage pick-up, Chris laughed as he looked down at his phone. Always on time when it was unnecessary apparently. Not wanting to garner any more attention than he already had, he pocketed it quickly and joined his dad in leaving the airport. He ignored his dad’s questions and only pulled his phone out again when they were sitting in the taxi.
Me: It was fine Miyuki. Long of course, but perfectly safe. And you don’t need to call me senpai anymore, I’m not your senior any longer. As for Sawamura’s eclectic advice? Let’s just say I had a couple other ideas in mind.
He smiled to himself, a hint of sadness lingered on his lips as he looked down at the phone. Miyuki’s grainy smirk looked back at him. Looking out the window as they drove towards the apartment his father had rented, he watched as the bright lights on the tall buildings blended into the night sky. His father’s continuous ramblings became white noise as a series of buzzes from his phone drew his attention.
Miyuki: I mean if I was you, I would clearly listen to Sawamura’s “vast” experience with flight. (1:45 PM)
Miyuki: Have a good night Yuu. (1:46 PM)
He blinked, and then disguised another laugh into a cough. His fingers moved across the screen rapidly.
Definitely odd.
Change Name: “Miyuki” to “Kazuya”?

Notice me, senpai
Happy ChrisMiyu day, fellows!!
Here is my small contribution to our celebration.
Notice me, senpai
Miyuki notices Chris and also wants to be noticed by him. This desire causes many trials and tribulations for him and also his friends. Kuramochi just wants to laugh, because sometimes, Miyuki is his own worst enemy.

Prompt: Chris and Miyuki decide to go camping. Miyuki reads the map [wrong] and they both become terribly lost. Fandom: Daiya no Ace Pairing: ChrisMiyu Rating: General - Just a fluffy thing. Notes: A @chrismiyuday fic thingy. (More at the end.)
-----
“I swear the trail is right up ahead.”
Chris stopped, adjusted his backpack and sighed. “You’ve been saying that for the last two miles. I could help if you’d let me see the map.”
Kazuya turned. “Ah, but that would ruin my master plan.” He grinned. “Come on! We’re almost there!”
Chris couldn’t help the smile that came over his face. Kazuya had planned a camping getaway for their anniversary and insisted on doing almost everything from packing, driving to the campsite, pitching the tent...everything. It was sweet...and a bit frustrating, but Chris just let it be. Kazuya could be stubborn about things and Chris knew when to pick his battles.
They left early in the afternoon on a hike and were heading back. Or, they were supposed to be heading back. Chris was pretty sure they were lost. And it was starting to get dark.
“Ah-ha! See!” Kazuya exclaimed. “Told you we were fine, he of little faith.”
Chris stood next to his boyfriend on the path that went to the left and right. “Nice work.” he said and kissed his cheek.
“We’ll be back before you know it.” Kazuya began walking the left path.
“Not going that way.” Chris said. “We need to go right.”
Kazuya considered the map in his hand. “Nope. This way.”
Chris crossed his arms. “Are you sure?”
“Yes!”
“Remember last time?”
It was Kazuya’s turn to sigh. “No fair! That was Sawamura’s fault! He of all people should have known where we were going.”
Chris laughed. The last time they’d been camping it had been with a group of their Seido teammates in Nagano near Sawamura’s home. In a similar situation, they had gotten lost on a hike; Kazyua had been holding the map, but Sawamura assured everyone they were going the right way. They weren’t.
Chris held up his hands in surrender. “All right then. Lead the way.”
***
They walked on for awhile, Kazuya consulting the map every now and then. It had gotten darker, the sun almost gone through the trees.
“We should be close, right?” Chris asked. They were both in good shape, but the hike plus the extra detour was starting to take its toll on him.
Kazuya nodded, looking a bit exhausted himself. “Yeah, we should be right around…” he let the rest of his sentence hang in the air and stopped. Ahead, where their campsite should have been, instead was an empty and unfamiliar campsite. Kazuya swore. “This should have been it!” He opened the map again.
Chris took in the campsite and noticed the wooden number plaque near the fire pit. This particular campground had each site numbered so it would be easy to locate on the map should campers wander and get lost. They were at campsite 21 and looking for 22, so they were close. Behind him, he heard Kazuya swear again and throw the map to the ground. Retrieving it, he found their location and which way they needed to go.
“We’re not that far off.” He said reassuringly, hoping to relieve some of Kazuya’s frustration. “Just a bit further north along the river, no problem.”
Kazuya huffed and crossed his arms. “Yeah, not that it matters. The rest of the night is ruined.”
“Ruined? How?” Chris asked.
“Doesn’t matter.” Kazuya sighed. “Let’s just go…”
Chris stared after his boyfriend for a moment, wondering what was going on in his head. He folded the map and followed.
***
The sun disappeared on the horizon as the pair silently walked along the river. All of Chris’ attempts at conversation, trying to figure what Kazuya was so upset about, were received with curt, one word responses, if he responded at all.
Out of the corner of his eye, Chris noticed streaks of light in the sky. As he turned to look out over the river, more lights appeared. It was a meteor shower.
“Surprise.” Kazuya whispered, suddenly beside him and taking his hand. “I wanted us to enjoy this more comfortably, with a nighttime picnic of sorts.” He sighed. “I had everything set back at camp, we just needed to grab it and head down here but we hiked a little longer then I got us lost and I was sure we’d miss it and we’re both tired and--”
Chris cut him off with a kiss. Kazuya liked having things planned out and prepared for most situations. He could usually roll with the punches, except when Chris was involved. Things like birthdays, anniversaries, holidays...Kazuya could get annoyed if something interfered with important plans.
Breaking the kiss, Chris looked into Kazuya’s eyes and smiled. “It’s perfect. You’re perfect.”
“Hardly.” Kazuya laughed and gently pulled Chris to sit on the riverbank. “But I’m happy you love me anyway.”
Chris chuckled softly as Kazuya leaned on his shoulder. “I do.”
“Happy anniversary Chris.”
“Happy anniversary Kazuya.”
Hello friends! Happy ChrisMiyu Day! :) I hope you enjoyed this small contribution. I got the prompt from an RP generator and I think it’s something coherent. They might be a bit ooc, now that I’m rereading it...Sorry. I’m not used to writing fic thingys (yet). But I hope it was enjoyable! Feel free to drop in my inbox with your thoughts, helpful writing tips, or just to chat. :)
