I think people focus on the “Foreman stabbing Cameron with deadly painful mystery disease”, but tbh if there’s a time to act crazy and in your own self interest, that’s it. I think people neglect this scene which imo is peak Foreman lunacy. Like, to anyone in the workplace, this is just fucking nuts. Babygirl, you’re in the “weird about your colleagues show”. But even if you weren’t this is a shit take.

First of all, I REFUSE to believe any of these fellows have friends. Second of all, Foreman, you have had to move every four years since you were 18, who tf passes this criteria. Third, who says this to a coworker. Just torpedo a working relationship #justgirlythings. What is wrong with you. You could’ve LIED. You could’ve said IM NOT SORRY. Instead, you go we were never friends in a high-school-mean-girl fashion. You’re an adult professional. More rambling under the cut

A) I am sorry, tf is Foreman's friendship criteria. He projects a decade in the future??? Ten years? Foreman mentally tallying that they'll probably lose contact around year 5 and therefore they are Just Colleagues.

B) no, this insane, if you are not a USAmerican who goes out of state for college and grad, you might not realize that VERY FEW ppl in your life are physically around to hang out for ten years. Ppl are far away.

C) does foreman have a single friend under this criteria? Do Any Of Them? It's not like house hours are conductive to a social life, and also their experiences are not relatable and also the three of them are freaks (affectionate)

Last decade he's gone New Jersey, California, Maryland, New York. Unless he's currently hanging out with his undergraduate friends, who tf is this man's friend???

(With hindsight power, we know chase will be his friend but at this point he currently doesn't even like him)

No way he kept any childhood friends considering his contempt towards most of his peers. Then he has to keep in touch with college friends from NYC while in med school at Baltimore, a famously busy time period three hours away. Then he could theoretically keep those friends while in LA, but doctors don't have a ton of free time in residency and I don't see Foreman posting MySpace updates. Residency is what, 3-5 years? Then he moves across the country again...

D) People are often friends with their colleagues? Especially in a narrow field like diagnostics? Foreman, at this point in the series, who are you going to ask for a recommendation. Your reputation with ppl like Wilson or Cameron is important. Are you just. Planning on having an awkward workplace dynamic for another 1.5 years and dipping?? You could've lied.

E) seriously, I’m trying to imagine one of my coworkers saying this to me. We know PPH doesn’t have an HR department, but like, the edge.

I wish Tsubaki-sensei had gotten the title she wanted for the manga instead of having it decided for her by her editor (who I can definitely see as part of the inspiration for Maeno from Nozaki-kun). If the English localization title had been Fight Girl like it is in France, that would’ve been so cool. Also, I’m glad that her intent was to make Saeki despicable and didn’t back down from it.
