So I love the original Little Mermaid. Like alot. And for a long time I was defending the remake like crazy because it was getting hate for bullshit reasons. Then they released the clip of Kiss the Girl and I almost threw up from how disappointed I was by it. And then I found out the director is the same guy who made the shity Into the Woods movie..
But people seem to like it so far. Admittedly, I die a little inside when I see someone say it's better than the original but that's to be expected. Like my brain literally can't conceive that as a possibility.
This is all to say, is the remake good? Like really is it good? It's not like trashing on the original or anything? It's just making a good movie now?
Idk I'm having a crisis lol.

Out of all the fandoms to become so toxic that multiple people have quit/paused their blogs......the fucking vampire one is where it's happening??!!
Like the creatures that have to literally suck the life out of people to survive?? The characters who have been around for literal decades and have tons of background with all kinds of morally terrible behavior???
That's the fandom being poisoned by purity culture?! Yall need to grow the fuck up and just fucking block people if you don't like their stuff.
Stop trying to censor shit or control what people say cause thats what fascists do no matter how you slice it.
And if you've got a problem with the series that's literally about toxic messy murdering vampires, then don't join the fucking fandom. It's literally dead dove: do not eat.
