hi, dev! I hope you don't mind me asking this question, but as a gifmaker with prosopagnosia (face blindness), what draws you toward certain faces when it comes to giffing and roleplay?

i'm autistic, so i'm just innately curious about disability shaping and framing experiences with stuff in ways those without a disability might not consider/conceptualize initially. i also notice you tend to have a lot of muse for giffing katherine mcnamara - she seems to be a favorite of yours.

Honestly what draws me to faces I tend to gif a lot of on personal time is I gravitate to people with kind looking faces if that makes sense? I've seen it described as soft features too so it's hard to describe. But I really seem to attach to faces that look kind? I also have a thing for redheads, which has become sort of a meme, love it though. Katherine has been my favourite actress for years, and she also ended up playing my favourite character ever (Clary) so my attachment to her is extremely high and just keeps growing. Which I could write an essay on how people thought my attachment to her was adorable until it came out I was autistic and suddenly certain people found it creepy and disturbing and made me untrustworthy so there's that (:

My Hero Academia but spy kids

‘We can be heroes ’ is a movie on Netflix directed by Robert Rodriguez. It’s about aliens kidnapping a superhero team, and their kids have to save them. Our cast of super-hero tweens are Noodles (Lyon Daniels) has limbs that stretch like spaghetti, Guppy (Vivien Blaie) can waterbed and has the strength if a shark, Slo-Mo (Dylan Henry Lau) runs in slow motion, A Capella (Lotus Blossom) moves objects with her singing, Ojo (Hala Finley) whose drawings can tell the future, Fast-Forward (Akira Akbar) and Rewind (Isaiah Russell-Bailey), who are sister and brother, can impose both those actions on reality, Facemaker (Andrew Diaz) he can transform his face to make ridiculous faces, Wild Card (Nathan Blair) who has every superpower imaginable but can’t control them, and our heroine protagonist, Missy Moreno (YaYa Gosselin). Now Guppy is the daughter of Sharkboy and Lavagirl, but don’t think it’s a sequel to their movie. Instead of being a figment of some boys imagination, their just there with less than 10 mins of screen time. Some people might complain that the CGI is bad, but that’s Rodriguez’s style. The twist ending was… not a good one. I don’t have much to complain about other than the characters being insanely dumb. “Oh hey your falling to your death? Instead of making you float up here I’m going to make myself float and sing the song with the title in it! Noodles can catch you, right?” But it’s a kids film and I’m probably not the target audience for this. There definitely are some stronger things you could be watching, but hey, if your kids like spy kids and shark boy and lavagirl, no harm in watching it.

photo album: describe one of your OCs' favorite memories. 

elodie’s best memory was coming out to her parents. it was the summer before her senior year, and she had been feeling very #romantic feelings for kennedy throughout all of that year as well as the years before it to a lesser extent. on the second day of june, she sat her parents down and explained to them that she was bisexual, and, to her delight, they were awesome about it. they took tons of pics of her and her friends before she went to nyc pride that month and it was just. very pure.

kennedy’s happiest memory (well memories) is her visits with her warm, gentle, and loving aunt lillian as a young girl. her aunt was a spot of happiness in her dismal childhood, and she treasured every visit to her house in long island.

jasmine’s best memory is getting the lead role in her school’s production of romeo & juliet in junior year. she had rehearsed for it for months, and totally thought she wouldn’t end up getting the role of juliet after making a tiny mistake in her audition b/c she’s Extra like that, but she ended up getting the role!! w/ her Crush leo as her romeo! and she was amazing in it and so was he and he gushed about her performance to everyone after the show @ the cast party and it was just very pure.

hazel’s best memory was meeting jasmine in sophomore year. they clicked very fast and hazel was really glad that she made such a wonderful friend so quickly.

tennyson’s best memory was the first time he read “the song of achilles” at age thirteen. it was the first book he ever read with gay main characters, and he fell in love with it.

isaiah’s best memory was the birth of his little bro, levi. he was five when levi was born and he and his little sister, hannah, who was three at the time, were so so excited. they decorated the whole house w/ Major help from their aunts and uncles to be v welcoming for their new baby brother and their mom and it was just the cutest thing when their mom came home w/ levi and she was like :o!!! 

leo’s best memory was the first show he was ever in. he played a munchkin in “the wizard of oz” in first grade and had a rly gr8 time, and that was what sparked his interest in theatre.

sybil’s best memory is the day that “crazy cascos”, the reality show in which they were forced to participate, ended. her parents were devastated, but they celebrated secretly.

elodie has very simple decor in her dorm. a deep blue comforter is paired with two matching pillows and a few photographs from home on her wall. her desk is very neat and well-organized.

kennedy has very minimal decor in her dorm. she has thick gold curtains with green vines across them that block out the sunlight in the mornings. her comforter is a deep green color, and she has just a few pillows. she also has a mahogany desk, where she stores her laptop, her phone, her chargers, her schoolwork, and a few books.
