“So, walk me through it again.” He was pacing the shed, walking back and forth in front of Eddie and only driving the boy slightly insane as he made him repeat the rules they’d made.
“We only sleep in the shed, we only move to and from the house in the dark,” Eddie rattled off in a monotone voice, “and we stick together.” It was the most important rule, and the one Eddie himself had added.

mara's endless oc list ⋆ Oscar 'Oz' Reynolds
Oz never intended for shit to turn out the way it did. Honestly, that might as well be what they write on his tombstone: Here lies Oscar Reynolds. Nothing he ever did went according to plan. With his luck, they'd have to write it sooner than he'd like.
It all started during the summer of '85, when Oz had finally managed to get hired for a job at Starcourt Mall only for the whole place to burn down literally the next day. Even worse, the next job he applied to resulted in him having to work alongside Steve Harrington. He would have preferred to be stuck in Starcourt while it burned.
As if that isn't shitty enough, he's also probably going to die.
At least, that's what his coworkers Robin and Steve tell him. If they are to be believed—which Oz heavily questions—he is being hunted down by an inter-dimensional demon who wants to crack his bones like glow sticks. All because he's incapable of dealing with his feelings, or whatever. Then again, Robin and Steve literally kidnapped him and locked him inside a house with Eddie Munson of all people. Not exactly the kind of circumstance in which Oz would be keen on telling these practical strangers his deepest, darkest secrets. He isn't keen on it, until Oz is convinced he's going to be the reason Eddie Munson dies.
Here lies Oscar Reynolds. Everything was his fault.

Oz attempted to move, to scramble up and away from the two boys with their eyes on him. Neither allowed him, though, Steve diving to hold Oz down right as Eddie was on him, gripping Oz's shoulders and gently but firmly pressing Oz back into the couch cushions.
"Take it easy," Steve said, "you're still pretty out of it." Steve wasn't even sure why he bothered talking at all. He might not be the brightest, at times, but as he looked at Oz and Eddie in front of him even Steve could tell that he might as well not be in the room at all.

oc halloween challenge 2022 ⛧ day four; supernatural au
There are werewolves in Indiana. To some, they’re simply a rumor — an old wives tale that holds no truth — but to others they are as real as the ground they walk on.
Eddie Munson has never believed in werewolves, but that hasn’t stopped him from going out to try and find one. Along with his loyal Hellfire Club, Eddie takes off one full moon to try and prove for once and for all that werewolves are just a stupid superstition, made up to scare the children of Hawkins.
He could have never imagined he would find local high school weirdo Oz Reynolds alone in the woods, covered in blood, his eyes glowing a bright warm orange.

“A staple of it’s genre, the original ‘never going back’ was released in August of 1987 to much critical acclaim. One of the first horror movies of its time to feature and center several queer relationships, it remains an important movie for the lgbtq+ community to this day. While the movie was often criticized for falling into the ‘bury your gays’ trope with its main couple, the sequel sought to rectify this by bringing back fan favorite character Eddie Munson.”

stranger things oc challenge ⋆ day 007 — alternate universe: experiment 007
Seven. That’s what Oscar had been called for most of his life. At least, until he and Kali broke free from the Hawkins lab and ran away together. Ever since then, he’s been Oscar. Oz, to friends. Free from the lab and their torture, Kali and Oz set out to live the lives they never got to have: the lives of rich, happy kids with nothing to worry about. And it all seems to be working out pretty well, until Eleven finds them.
There’s just something about the young girl that makes all of Oz’s deepest worries kick into overdrive, and when Eleven threatens to run away from them again Oz can’t help but join her in the quest to save her friends. Suddenly, he’s living with the Hawkins chief of police and pretending to be Eleven’s — or, Jane’s — older brother. Suddenly Oz has to pretend to be a normal teenager, something he hasn’t been his entire life, and all he has to teach him is a disgruntled fourty-three year old man and an even less well-adjusted fourteen year old.
So Oz turns to the first teenager he can find who seems relatively normal — at least, to Oz. He turns to Eddie Munson for help.
