that’s actually smth i love about gurren lagann so much, like i love all the little character design nods to previous outfits and where they came from. like with nia’s hoodie having the red armbands like simon made for himself with kamina’s dad’s cape

and with the new government uniforms having a tie that’s based on nia’s

and with rossiu’s uniform having the left shoulder stripes like adai’s clothing did

like it’s just!!!!! so cool to me, it makes their whole world feel very natural and the whole “evolution” thing make a lot more sense, cause you can tell where their inspirations for designs came from

#also i think the notion of kittan modeling his tie after nia’s after their ‘fight’ is hilarious LMAO #sorry for the shoddy images i had to use google like a schlep cause i’m not at my computer #i just. thinking about how in ep12 it’s implied that the bachikas are the only ones who are familiar with the ocean (like when kittan explains what it is to the others, and yoko’s at least confused by the sisters’ bathing suits) and not only are they familiar with it, they’ve VISITED before
