rossiu at the end of ep5 when he says “once we reclaim the surface as a home for humanity, there will no longer be any need to allow ourselves to be bound by such painful laws” and he looks so so hopeful and he’s smiling a lil and then he gets above ground and faces the sky and the sun shines off his face and he walks towards gurren lagann and there’s triumphant music playing is the most. heartbreaking shit

#also can’t believe they made him n gimmy and darry take the fuckin stairs all the way up 💀#BUT FOR REAL HE WAS SO FULL OF HOPE.
