Welcome to Pet Divine, a Pet Crematorium Providing Individual Pet Cremation Services For Dogs, Cats, Reptiles, Birds and Small Pets, covering Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and London.

Pet Divine is a pet cremation service run by animal lovers. We know there are many pet lovers out there and almost as many pet owners. If you want to remember your pet once they have passed, cremation is a good way of doing so. Meaning that you don’t have to visit a pet cemetery to be with them again, your pet remains close by, in your home with you or their remains can be scattered elsewhere.

We are professional, reliable and caring, taking care of your pet when the time comes. Once your pet has passed, we provide an individual cremation and package the ashes in your choice of urn.

Pet Divine is based in Weedon, Northamptonshire at The Depot and are fortunate to have a canal running through this business centre. We’re sure that this small spot of wildlife will give us lots of joy throughout the changing seasons.

As well as covering Northants, we also cover Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London and Hertfordshire. Our pricing structure is simple – dependent on the species/dog breed and the urn of your choice. We have a collection and delivery service (additional charge) if you can’t get to our premises.

We don’t need a special day to remind us of our pet loss, because we remember them all the time. Thank goodness for memories. A previous blog post mentioned a few ways pet owners can remember their pets who have passed on.

However, having a national day – Pet Remembrance Day – to remember the pets we have lost acknowledges their importance.

They meant a lot to us and their loss …well sometimes it’s difficult to find the words to express how we feel in the moment and even much later.

But we know that while they are no longer by our side, they are forever in our hearts

You may not need help at the time, it may be weeks or months later, after the loss of a beloved pet. But if you find that at some point you require pet bereavement support, please do have a look at our website which signposts help available for grieving individuals and families.

As pet owners, not clinicians we can’t share the science behind the benefits of having a pet. But we do know is that having a pet, their very presence offers comfort, stress release, and lots of joy. Regular exercise is also on the cards If you have an active pet such as a dog or horse.

As employees

Working pets are those who were primarily taken on to help humans with daily living such as emotional support or visual and other physical differences. Animals are smart and can help humans manage medical conditions i.e. epilepsy

Full time working animals who work for law enforcement or border control use their powerful sense of smell to sniff out controlled and illegal substances. You don’t have to look too hard to see animals in other occupations – lifeguard anyone.

As family members

Having a pet is a responsibility, but it also teaches us how to care for a living sentient creature that is defenceless and dependent on us. Which is a great skill to develop at whatever age. If you have the chance to pick a pet to join your family, enjoy the prospect.

Even when they are looking after us, we must not forget that our pets have feelings too and we should look out for their wellbeing also. We’ve mentioned a few of those ways in a previous blog post.

Our tongue in cheek post today lists the 10 benefits of having a pet. While light-hearted, there is real emotional, social and health benefits to having a pet.

Taking care of pet is a big responsibility, as the saying goes pets are for live, not just for Christmas – or in this current climate, a pandemic impulse.

We know that as living sentient creatures they require a lot from us but in turn they provide immeasurably more, a lot more, once we better understand their breed and personality

Physical Health

We have to make sure that they are fed and watered according to their needs. We should provide them with the amount of exercise needed and an environment that they can thrive in. Looking after their health includes grooming, in addition to their vaccinations and regular check-ups. Even being vigilant to different weather conditions is something to bear in mind.

Knowing how to take care of them in extreme heat or cold is a must.

The RSPCA have a short booklet on how to deal with common pet first aid scenarios. If you get the opportunity do sign up to get a copy.

Mental Health and Wellbeing

Mental stimulation is so important, playing with your pet and giving them opportunities to behave according to their breed and personality will make them more comfortable. In turn this will translate into a happier home. We know that bored pets can lead to anxiety, regression or even destructive behaviour. Interaction is vital, as is training. Doing thing that give your pet pleasure should be high on the list. The following are a few of our favourites: ear rub, cats in a boxes, and hosepipe fun.

What Determines The Cost Of Pet Cremation?

The price of pet cremation can vary between crematorium, but the biggest price difference is if you want an Individual pet cremation or Communal.

An Individual Cremation is a singular cremation within a clean and private chamber.

A Communal Cremation means that more than one pet is cremated at the same time and the owner does not get the remains (ashes) back.

Pet Divine only offers Individual Pet Cremation Services, so we can guarantee pet owners that they will be getting the ashes back of their pet.

How Much Does It Cost To Cremate A Pet Near Me?

Pet Divine has competitive all-inclusive prices for pet cremation which are dependent on species. For dogs this is further differentiated by breed.

So, there is one price for an individual cremation, which includes a certificate and a premium cardboard urn.

What Other Costs Are There?

Pet Euthanasia At Home Cost

The price for a cremation does not include the cost of euthanasia.

If a pet is unwell and isn’t already deceased (from natural causes or an unfortunate accident), as a pet owner, you will know when the time is right for them to move on, be it due to age, chronic illness or becoming pain free.

Your vet will discuss the suitable options available and may be able to provide euthanasia at home rather than the vet practice. But if your own vet can’t or you’d prefer to have the last moments at home, there are mobile veterinarians who will be able to follow your wishes.

Collection And Delivery

If you would prefer not to handle your pet after they have gone or are unable to get to our premises, we can arrange collection of your pet. Additionally, Pet Divine can return their remains (ashes).

Collection Service

Collection is available from a vet practice or home. We will arrange a convenient time to collect your pet when you are ready to let them go.

Delivery Service

Pet Divine prides itself on a personalised service, thus once a pet has been cremated we only a delivery service or option for the pet owner to collect from our premises. This allows us to be certain that the right ashes are returned to the right owner. And allows us to trace the journey of each pet from arrival to return home.

Other Services

Please let us know at Pet Divine, how we can make the cremation service memorial for you and your pet, this could be from providing a pawprint, setting aside some of their fur (this is only possible in certain circumstance) for a keepsake or another other request.

Here at Pet Divine, we couldn’t agree more. Once you get to know a pet, there is no doubt that they are more than their breed/species with distinct personalities and traits. Thus, when they are gone from our lives, we do not want to forget them

There are many ways of remembering your pet from burial, taxidermy, cremation, photos, taking a pawprint to even incorporating their fur or ash in bespoke or off the shelf memorial jewellery. We mentioned in a Facebook post one simple way such as using their watering bowl as a plant pot. Having a living reminder of a pet is a wonderful visual memento of their life.
