Hey anyone remember when CG Greenblatt criticized Nickelodeon's working conditions on Harvey Beaks on Tumblr and it got cancelled? After a very strained apology from him?
As much as I hate people just sharing screenshots instead of linking I'm sure glad that what Dana Terrance said before having to play damage control for Disney got archived.
CG Greenblatt's rant got scrubbed from the internet aside from one article mentioning the apology while not making what he apologized for clear so I sound like a conspiracy theorist for bringing it up.
He deleted the fake apology too. Wish it still existed to reassure me and others that I didn't just make it up... But I'd delete a forced "apology" after the heat died down too.
I read this article yesterday and got SO excited to cause someone I know (a fan of the HTTYD movies, as am I) psychic damage: How To Train Your Dragon to take flight in a live-action flick by Sadhana Bharanidharan, posted to Kidscreen on February 16, 2023.
EDIT: If you're interested in keeping up with this kind of news, then kidscreen.com and cartoonbrew.com are both good places to start. Kidscreen deals more with the business side, talking about merchandising and licensing, and CartoonBrew tends to focus more on the artistic side and occasionally posts cool short films.

What happened with rebecca sugar?? I don't have a twitter
So, on Twitter there are several major accounts that serve as reliable feeds for news about the animation industry.
One of the more... Notorious ones is CartoonBrew. This is due to them taking a 'TMZ-esque' approach to journalism, i.e. being skeezy (for example, when they tweeted about the expansion of the Kung Fu Panda IP, an IP that is primarily for family audiences, and attached someone's sexy muscle edit of Po to it) or doing anything as long as it means clicks.
Recently, in the vein of the second category above, they called themselves tweeting news about well-known animators. And by 'news' we mean 'spreading Rebecca Sugar's address and how much she paid for her house', as well as doxxing Ian Jones Quarterly (though, admittedly, I can't find their initial tweet about the latter).
"I'm gonna Scope it!!!" Many moons ago, I made "#Rotoscope-It Ralph", a little #RalphBakshi/#WreckItRalph #MashUp #Parody. It was subsequently picked up by #AnimationSite favorites like #CartoonBrew and #AnimationWorldNetwork, and even popped up over at #MTVGeek too! #JeauxJanovsky #JeauxJanovskyArt #JeauxJ #MashUpArt #ParodyArt #AWN #Disney #DisneyAnimation #Animation #Cartoons #RotoscopeAnimation #8bit #8BitArt #ArcadeGames #Arcade #Arcades #VideoGames #JohnCReilly #RichMoore
“Multi-layered works that connect an onslaught of imagery from diverse media and loop them with a brilliant sense of rhythm.” Chris Robinson discusses filmmaker Run Wrake on CartoonBrew.
okay i did some digging since cartoonbrew is NOT a reputable resource (like seriously y'all, don't take anything they say seriously) and it looks like this is what's happening with the merger. which still sucks, yeah, but it's not end-of-CN-as-we-know-it CB is fearmongering it as
