Y/n was a girl who had arrived in Alexandria relatively recently, she was a very happy girl in the eyes of many, it seemed that the circumstances did not matter and despite having spent so much time

Her black hair a few centimeters below her shoulders made her pale skin stand out more, her hazel eyes were undoubtedly what stood out the most from her pretty face, eyes that made her

He denied it, he didn't want to accept what he felt but as the days passed it was more obvious that his feelings were getting stronger, at first Carl thought that maybe it was just because he was a new face, someone new whom he did not know and his curiosity was killing him to discover it, but as time passed he realized that there was no night that y/n did not haunt his dreams

It was strange, he had felt something similar when he first arrived in Alexandria but Enid definitely didn't compare to y/n.

Enid was mysterious, when Carl met her he wanted to know in depth what her green eyes had to tell, he wanted to discover every secret about her and, once he had the opportunity, he realized that he was in love; reciprocated feelings but very complicated to carry.

And y / n instead he was the complete opposite of Enid, he could decipher the pain and the weight that she carried she knew she had a story, her actions made her see that she wanted to start a new life, however she was very quiet, more enid and when she tried to get closer for the first time the rejection was felt by

—Hello, you are y/n, right? - Carl asked, although he would clearly know the answer, he had seen when she arrived at Alexandria's door, he had witnessed how Deanna and Rick had accompanied her to a house to have time to cook and eat something, he was present from the beginning, Of course I would know the answer

"Do you need something?" and Carl definitely did not expect that, he had practiced a whole conversation while looking for the girl through the streets of Alexandria but it never crossed his mind that his answer could be so dry-

"N-no, I mean I just wanted to know if you already knew the place and like that." There was a nonsense had come out of his mouth, the worst lie he could invent, he mentally slapped himself for such a bad move that his nerves had played on him, of course he was going to meet Alexandria now, he had been there for 3 weeks for God's sake!

Y/n could only see him strangely, in those three weeks he had only talked to Enid, a friendly girl with brown hair and green eyes, of course Carl did not go unnoticed, he was very handsome, his long hair made y/n feel a warmth in the belly -later she deduced that perhaps they were the so famous "butterflies in the stomach" that one feels when in love- her patch gave her a mysterious aspect and made him look so magnificent in her eyes, she on more than one occasion She had tried to get close to him, she wanted to meet him but any idea of doing so was discarded when she found out that he was Enid's boyfriend, her now friend.

An uncomfortable silence reigned between the two of them, neither of them knew what to say, they only knew that they were uncomfortable and thought about what excuse to say to change the tense atmosphere that reigned between them at that moment.

Carl only thought that it was his fault that she was in that situation and he had to do something so she wouldn't think he was a crazy stalker who knew everything about her, even though he was.

Luckily for both of them, Enid arrived at that moment —Hello guys, it's good to see you.- she said smiling and they both made a superhuman effort to act normal avoiding looking at each other.

"What did they do?" -asked the newcomer, an excuse crossed Carl's mind.

—invited y/n to tonight- Carl smiled at Enid and y/n was just losing the thread of the conversation, he didn't know what "tonight" was but it sounded like what, at first it was a romantic plan of the which she had not been required.

"So y/n, are you coming tonight?" Enid asked, not very convinced of what her boyfriend was saying, it's not that she didn't want y/n to live with Carl, but the plan to spend the whole night together at Carl's house carl, making pizzas and watching movies was something very intimate and in part she felt betrayed for not even being consulted before doing what her boyfriend had already done-

"I'm not sorry guys, I already made an appointment with Mickey and Beth to spend the night with them at a sleepover, better see you later" and/or I notice the discomfort that Enid had felt when Carl had said about his plan, how he supposed it was a romantic plan to which she had not been required and she did not want to bother her friend-

That had been the first time that Carl had spoken to y/n, he felt embarrassed and had to remedy the situation however it gave rise, a week had passed since that conversation.

"You can't keep avoiding him and/or, you like Carl," Beth exclaimed from the black-haired woman's bed.

Beth was the only friend who knew her big and torturous problem, she knew how fond she was of enid but she also knew how madly in love she was with carl

"—What do you want me to do? Tell Enid that I'm in love with her boyfriend to please break up with him?"- y/n was exasperated by this situation, she didn't want to feel what she felt, she forced herself to deny it but when She had the boy close, her heart gave her away, beating hard and making the blood flow to her cheeks causing a tingle and an involuntary smile in itself.

—mmm not exactly, but I think that enid would prefer that you be honest and tell her what is happening to you than to be preventing her for how long have you been here? A week?- Beth spoke

It was true, you had been locked up in your house for 1 week so as not to see Enid why, since the last conversation with Carl you had only experienced a whirlwind of emotions inside you.

You couldn't lie to your best friend, SHE WAS YOUR BEST FRIEND, so you decided to avoid her until you calmed down what you felt. And it certainly isn't working.

The excuse she had given Enid was that you had your period and you didn't feel comfortable in public places, but being locked up for a whole week would only start to arouse her suspicions

The afternoon passed and once Beth left you decided to find Enid and explain to her (even with all the shame inside you) what you felt for her boyfriend.

You looked for her everywhere but you didn't find her until you heard her laugh, she came down the fence that divided Alexandria from the outside world. She and her boyfriend.

You felt jealous, you wanted to be the one holding Carl's hand and not her, you didn't have time to think about anything when you headed home as fast as you could, hoping they hadn't seen you.

Tears were threatening to flow, an itch attacked your nose, and you knew it wouldn't be long before you were crying, but you wouldn't do it in public.

The apocalypse began when I was a girl, you had never liked someone, you had never experienced anything like it, but the pain you felt could be defined with the phrase "they broke your heart".

The weeks went by and/or she spoke to Enid again in a very fleeting way, the chestnut knew it, she knew that her maid was moving away from her every day, but she couldn't discover why. Carl was still in his reverie however, he tried to put his feelings for y/n aside because he didn't want to ruin their courtship.

He knew that she would only be his crush until the day he died.

It didn't take long for that to happen...
