*at gun point* What are some of your jeyna hcs
i have too fucking many but aight let’s go
they first met on one of jason’s quests. hylla and reyna had just escaped from circe’s and the pirates, jason was just abt to fight the sea monster. they both help each other out and become tentative friends
reyna does not trust him as far as she can throw him for a while. it takes jason a long time to prove himself to her
when they get back to cj, first cohort almost immediately tries to get reyna to join them, but the idea of not being able to be friends with jason is what holds her back
the jellybean thing becomes a joke after a quest goes wrong in seattle circa ttc. turns out harpies love jellybeans and they will leave you alone if you sacrifice them
jason learned how to braid hair as a little kid (fully stealing this hc from one of @hecatea’s old fics) and he was in charge of reyna’s hair once it started growing back out
speaking of reyna’s hair, it was cut into a fairly short bob when he first met her, so the first time he sees it down and almost rib length, he does a spit take
jason has several lichtenberg scars on his back and shoulders and reyna has fallen asleep tracing them quite often
their first kiss was during their third quest together circa botl. reyna thought jason was going to die and grabbed him and kissed him before watching him walk into what they both thought would be a trap. he survived (obvi) and they didn’t speak about the kiss until his birthday nearly a month later
they never outright admitted their feelings for each other but it was one of those things everyone knows about
during the battle of mount othrys, reyna takes a knife to the stomach for jason, and he goes ballistic afterwards. the sudden surge of anger and devotion is how he got officially recognized as juno’s champion
he makes her promise that she won’t die on him. she’s too scared to make him promise the same to her
they start planning their trip to dalmatia as a joke during one of their smaller quests, but eventually they both become genuinely interested in doing it
reyna has/had an old polaroid camera that she used to take photos of anything and everything. her collection of photos of jason is the biggest
her favourite photo of jason is him staring out at the pacific ocean with a blue superman hat on and this pensive look on his face. it would have done numbers on tumblr
jason kept/keeps every single sticky note reyna has ever written for him. he likes to look at her writing when he isn’t feeling well
they both get elected to praetorship shortly after the battle of mount othrys. reyna’s incredibly happy about it. jason is not.
the night jason goes missing, him and reyna had just had a massive argument about his hatred of being praetor
reyna refuses to burn jason’s burial shroud for months until shortly before percy arrives at cj. it would mean admitting defeat and she won’t do that
she never tells jason what venus told her at charleston. even if/when they get together, she never tells him
now this is fully hc, but i like to think that instead of jason dying, he just fully detaches himself from the demigod world and after a few years, him and reyna meet again at a coffee shop or something in san francisco and they slowly repair their broken friendship

Before I Go
A Jeyna fic no one asked for.
Listened to folklore again and was cursed with feelings. I’m sorry.
Please, picture me in the trees I hit my peak at seven Feet in the swing over the creek I was too scared to jump in But I, I was high in the sky With Pennsylvania under me Are there still beautiful things?
Reyna, Jason had found in the two years he’d known her, did not tell people things about herself. And she sure as hell did not talk about her childhood. So he was surprised and more than a little gratified when she’d decided to tell him about her life in San Juan.
He couldn’t stop thinking of her now, as a happy little girl with untidy braids and a bright smile, strolling the cobbled streets with her big sister. Dancing around in the dappled shadows of the banana trees as the salty breeze blew past.
She’d told him of how she’d tried to catch a Coqui frog once, but had failed spectacularly. She gotten herself scratched up and muddied, and ripped all her clothes. Her older sister, she’d said, could be scary when she was mad, and Hylla had been infuriated at the state of her when she got back from the field. She spoke of that summer like it had been the best one of her life.
He couldn’t begin to make sense of how he felt about Reyna, but knew without a doubt that he liked the idea of spending a summer with her in San Juan. They could walk down the streets and she could point out her favorite cats, and trees, and rocks, and he’d make sure to remember every single one of them. They could spend long days with the old men playing dominoes, sucking on Piraguas without a care in the world.
But he knew these were just dreams, memories of a life long gone. Reyna barely spoke about her home town, let alone made plans to go back. Jason was not nearly dense enough to believe her life back then had been all sunshine and beautiful colours. They were demigods, and all demigods had monsters. Maybe someday, Reyna would tell him about hers.
Sweet tea in the summer Cross your heart, won't tell no other And though I can't recall your face I still got love for you Your braids make a pattern Love you to the Moon and to Saturn Passed down like folk songs The love lasts so long
Jason was nothing more than a ghost now. Barely even a lare, who unlike himself, could be seen and talked to. That was alright. He wasn’t here to be perceived.
He’d tried to visit his friends multiple times over the months since he’d died- to see them one last time, for just a moment of closure- but this was the first time he’d had any success.
Of course the first person he came to see had to be Reyna. He’d missed her more than he knew he could miss a person. He supposed it was because he hadn’t so much as had a proper conversation with his best friend since Juno had so rudely snatched him away. And then it had taken so much time, time he only later realized he didn’t have to waste, for his memories to return fully. All he’d had of her for so long had been a space in his heart where she should have fit. Not a name, or a face, but a feeling. He wished he’d had more time to find his way back to her.
Reyna meant more to him than he had ever told her, and familiar regret came bubbling up like bile in his throat. Wasn’t the afterlife supposed to give him peace? But how could there be peace when there she sat, thick braid hanging loosely over her shoulder, sharpening her silver dagger? She looked so beautiful in the moonlight, her breath fogging up in the cold air seeming to breathe life into his dead soul. He’d never stopped loving her.
He was glad she’d found a home with the Hunters of Artemis. For the first time in a long time, she looked free. And while it meant they wouldn’t meet again anytime soon, he was glad to know she had the chance to live a long, long life. One full of the adventures and love and happiness she deserved. A small, perhaps selfish part of him hoped she wouldn’t forget him along the way.
And I've been meaning to tell you I think your house is haunted Your dad is always mad and that must be why I think you should come live with me And we can be pirates Then you won't have to cry Or hide in the closet And just like a folk song Our love will be passed on
Wanting to strangle someone that didn’t exist was a strange feeling, but one that was evoked in Jason every time Reyna mentioned her father. Neither of them had had happy childhoods or good parents, it seemed. Well, that was something to bond over.
It hadn’t been easy for Reyna to talk about him, which he understood, especially now that he knew how that story ended. He didn’t blame her one bit for what she’d done, but couldn’t help but wish she hadn’t had to make such a decision at all. The burden it seemed she would always bear was heavy, and she shouldn’t have been made to carry it at all. Not speaking ill of the dead kept getting harder by the second.
Maybe if her story had gotten better after she and Hylla had run away, his nerves wouldn’t be feeling so shot. Circe’s island should have been an escape. With its sandy beaches, and palm trees, and miles of sparkling blue ocean Reyna liked to describe in such detail. But no. All the adults in their lives had to be exploitative bastards. Reyna hadn’t sounded too angry about it though. She’d laughed as she recounted her tales of turning pirates into guinea pigs, coerced into the act as she may have been. Jason couldn’t lie- he saw the allure.
Speaking of pirates- the one’s Reyna had escaped with unfortunately hadn’t been the swashbucklery kind either. They’d been the cut-throat, cruel kind and now Reyna couldn’t stand sea shanties anymore; which was alright with Jason since he couldn’t sing anyway. The only reason the sisters had to escape with them at all had been because two upstart demigods she refused to divulge the names of, decided to blow up the island. Jason couldn’t decide whether he wanted to smack them upside the head for it, or thank them profusely for unwittingly steering Reyna to Camp Jupiter.
He hoped that here, she’d finally found a home and a place to rest. It wasn’t perfect, not even close, but she was making it hers. Reyna was already well on her way to becoming a praetor, and he knew she’d make one of New Rome’s finest.
Please, picture me in the weeds Before I learned civility I used to scream ferociously Any time I wanted
Jason often wondered how Reyna had thought of him after she’d found out about his history. There hadn’t been much he’d been able to remember about his own childhood. He’d been only two years old when he’d been given to Lupa, and all his memories of a family were little more than a blur. His home had been Camp Jupiter for most of his life, and he truly couldn’t remember another.
When he’d told her all he could remember of how it was to be raised by a wolf, she’d only looked amused. She’d simply looked him up and down and laughed. She had a cute laugh, all snorts and shaking shoulders. He didn’t always understand the things that made her laugh, but laughing with her felt so natural he did it every golden time.
He wondered if she’d had anyone to laugh with when he was taken away. Had she missed him? Every memory he’d had of her had been snatched away, but there were some people with whom you were so completely intertwined, even the Gods couldn’t untangle the strings. Perhaps he couldn’t place a name to what had been missing, but he had remembered her. Even in death, he would remember.
Sweet tea in the summer Cross your heart, won't tell no other And though I can't recall your face I still got love for you Pack your dolls and a sweater We'll move to India forever Passed down like folk songs The love lasts so long
What he wouldn’t give to go back and have one last Hot Chocolate with her in the Garden of Bacchus, to speak one more sentence in Spanish (Te amo, Reyna) and hear her snort at his accent, to brush her hair behind her ear once more. He hadn’t told her nearly enough times, how much he’d loved her laugh.
What he wouldn’t give to have one last chance to confess to her how he felt, with Aurum and Argentum there so she knew none of it was a lie.
But there was nothing he could give to turn back time, or build himself a different fate. They could only be together now in stories, and memories, and alternate universes. If there were any kind Gods left, perhaps in an afterlife that wouldn’t come for centuries.
Maybe he should feel sadness or loss, looking at her now for the last time. Mourn the loss of all the happiness they could have had together. He was going to leave again without a way to say goodbye or wish her well or have her look at him, but all he felt was contentment. She sat around a glowing fire, surrounded by her friends and sisters, singing soft campfire songs and telling stories of old. Maybe someday, she’d narrate their story too.
Jason finally found peace in the knowledge that his girl was going to be okay.

Office Thoughts - Jeyna
A/N: Attempt to write fluff. Get a little angst at the end???? Why fingertips? Reyna’s thoughts about work is a little bit like mine since I’m at a new company as well. Sadly I don’t have a cute SO to encourage me. 😭
Inspiration: My boyfriend and I were coworkers and we let management believe we are a new office romance
Reyna paused as she looked at her desk. A carefully crafted paper rose stood up from a treat bag. The bag was decorated with pink and red hearts. Through the clear plastic, various sweets like chocolate and sweethearts sat. What drew Reyna's eyes were the jellybeans, not a typical Valentine goodie. Lacy, her cubicle mate, grinned gleefully as Reyna sat down.
"You have an admirer!" She clapped her hands together. Reyna sighed as she pulled in the various wires into her laptop, eying the rose. It wasn't perfect with wrinkles and tears but the gesture brought a smile to her lips. "Ah, is he chipping away are your icy shields?"
"Shut up." Reyna murmured, plucking the rose and twirling it in her fingers. "Let me guess, Jason from IT came to visit." Lacy nodded her head as she placed her hands on her cheeks, sighing adoringly. Reyna shook her head at the girl's reaction. Jason was the person in charge of setting up her workstation and permissions for all the accounts needed for her new job. Reyna picked up a wireless mouse. "He was only delivering this. I asked him for one."
"Oh, was that all?" Lacy deflated as she slumped in her seat. The blonde is clearly starving for some cute meet office romance to gossip over. She rolled her chair over to Reyna, looking at her with those big blue eyes. "But how do you explain the flower? Or the sweets?" Reyna shrugged, feeling the heat rise to her cheeks as she unlocked her laptop. "Reyna..." Lacy whined before getting her things and rushing to a meeting.
Reyna smiled at Lacy response before looking over some documents. There were a few notifications in her in-office messenger chat. A few updates from her team about work progress, some HR forms she needed to fill out, and random chatter from everyone. A red bubble beside Jason's name indicated the messages he sent her. She ignored them, checking her calendar instead. She's slowly getting used to the fast pace of her team as a project manager.
"Is Jason bothering you?" Reyna looked over her monitors to see Drew, a member of her team, asked. The senior girl unraveled a piece of chocolate, popping it into her mouth. "If he is, I'll tell him off for you." Reyna quickly shook her head.
"No, no, not at all." Reyna answered quickly, shaking her head. "He's not bad. He's actually quite sweet and funny.  I'm not used to all the attention and it's not just Jason. A cute guy being interested is the least of my worries. This project is pretty big for Olympus. I don't want to mess it up." Drew gave her a soft encouraging smile.
"We're a team, Reyna. If you feel uncertain about anything, feel free to ask Lacy and I." Drew said as she swept up her long hair into a neat bun. She slipped on a pair of glasses, adjusting them. "I hired you, knowing you can do this job. I don't make mistakes." Reyna laughed at Drew's confidence, feeling the tightness in her chest ease just a bit. She returned to her documents, typing steadily answering questions she was sure of. A tiny notification popped up in the corner of the screen. She sighed, there was another meeting to attend.
"All these meetings are brutal." Reyna murmured as she stood up, grabbing her things. She pocketed the bag of sweets, needing the extra energy. Drew waved as Reyna left, rushing to the other side of the office. Her heels clicked against the concrete floor. The developers will need the screens from UX. Rachel should have them done. Reyna thought. She didn't notice the hand grabbing her elbow. Reyna gasped as she was pulled into a supply closet. Her chest bumped into a solid mass as hands steadied her.
"Jason!" The young man smiled in response as he looked down towards her. Reyna hugged her laptop to her chest, fixing him with a look. "I almost dropped my laptop."
"I know a guy who can replace that." Jason replied smugly, running his hands up and down her arm. Jason's tall frame fit neatly in the tight space. He leaned casually against a stack of boxes, trapping Reyna between his legs. She looked up at him, taking in his half-illuminated profile. A sly grin played against his lips. His blue eyes sparkled behind his thick black glasses. "You're ignoring my messages."
"One of us has to do work." Reyna quipped as she stepped forward, placing a hand on his chest. Her fingers curled around the fabric and pulled him forward. She kissed him softly, smiling against his warm lips. Jason's hand cupped her chin, angling her lips to kiss her properly. Her eyes fluttered close, letting herself to fall into the kiss. "Thank you for the flower." Reyna whispered as she stepped away, stroking his jaw. Jason looked so content as he gazed at her.
"Of course." He murmured, his breath still fanning her face. It smelt like chocolate mints, rich and intoxicating. "Bet Lacy had a hay day." Reyna chuckled softly, pressing her forehead against his collarbone. Her hand squeezed his side, curling into his warmth. "I still can't believe you're here. When you said you were starting a new job..."
Reyna nodded against him. A ridiculous series of events lead them here. Reyna and Jason met on a dating app, matched because her GPS was acting up. She lived a city away, applying for jobs in various cities. They've chatted for a few days, bonding over TV shows, movies and travel stories, before meeting in person. They went on various different dates like dinner beside the water, walk through the park and pub trivia. They may have been dating exclusively recently but something in Reyna's bones told her, Jason is the one. She isn't sure if being at the same company is a sign from the universe or not.
"You could have mentioned you worked at Olympus." Reyna commented as she pulled back, fixing him with a stare. Jason scratched his cheek sheepishly.
"I never thought a girl like you would want to date a tech nerd like me." Jason answered back. Reyna shook her head at that stupid excuse.
"You know me better than that. And for the record," Reyna started as she smoothed the front of his t-shirt that was ruffled from the make-out session. "I love your nerdiness even if you talk about the latest tech for hours without breathing."
“We’re still not telling people we’re together?” Jason’s question cut through the lightness. Reyna lowered her gaze. “Come on, Reyna. I want to hold your hand in public. Take you out to lunch or coffee. Swing by your desk without an IT excuse.” He laced their fingers together. Reyna squeezed his hand. She wanted those as well. She wanted all of those and more but… Reyna doesn’t want to be that girl. The girl who wiggled her way into Olympus because her boyfriend works there. The girl who’s project failed because she was distracted. She wanted to prove herself that she deserve this position.
“I’m sorry but just a little bit more, Jason. I know I’m selfish but…” Jason nodded his head, an understanding but sad expression crossing his handsome face. Reyna stepped up, kissing his cheek and hugging his form. “Come by tonight. I’ll make you dinner.” Jason pressed his lips against her temple, whispering ‘okay’ before leaving the room.
It felt like the warmth left the space along with Jason. Reyna clenched her jaw, frustrated with herself and her stubbornness. She sighed, waiting a beat, before leaving the supply closet. Jason was still in the area, talking to one of his friends as he balanced the ream of print paper in his arms. “Just a bit longer.” She murmured, turning away.
